This is a masterclass in ecological synergy that transforms simple gardening into a sophisticated biological strategy. It proves that true productivity comes from the intelligent orchestration of biodiversity rather than just manual labor.

It's soggy as hell today and it's thundering out. So, I'm going to make a gardening video. This is one of my pollinator boxes and these are called teddy bear sunflowers. This is the first year I've grown them and I think I'm going to keep growing them because they're kind of cool. I eventually want to have this sucker so full of flowers that you don't even see any mulch.
Eggplants are getting very excited. I think this one's a boy. Cucumber plants are growing out of control, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of cucumbers. Just this one little guy down here. Oh, there's another one there. The rain's really coming down now, and I'm not going inside yet because it's it's it's like a a walking rain. It's not like a proper man's rain. I am going to have way more tomatoes than I know what to do with in a couple of weeks. I've got big tomatoes. I've got little tomatoes that are already turning ripe. I've got some midsized tomatoes. I'm going to have some massive tomatoes. I've been pulling strawberries all last month, and they have actually been really good this year. I got another one that's ripening over here. Loads and loads of green beans. It's a good thing I like green beans because they are coming in massively. More cucumbers over here. A whole other variety. Do you want to be quiet, please? I'm trying to make a video. I do not have a whole lot of luck growing broccoli. They always end up like this. Plenty of plant, but not a whole lot of broccoli. The cantaloupe plants are exploding over the side here.
I haven't really found much fruit yet.
There's a baby one there. Let's see if it gets pollinated. My blackberries have been very disappointing for the past few years, so I bought a few new varieties, but I'm not going to see anything off of them until next year. I have a lot more squash coming in than I expected to because usually I have squash vine bores kill them off within like the first couple of weeks. Pretty soon I'm going to have way more figs than I know what to do with. I have two fig trees. One of them fruits in the summer and one of them fruits in the fall. So, I have a lot of figs throughout the year and I I'm I'm fine with that. I love figs.
This is the second year for this peach tree, and it is very tiny, but it is actually putting out fruit. And the peaches I got off this tree last year were some of the best I've ever grown.
Behind the peach tree is another pollinator garden. Been collecting these plants for years. So, I got the verbina, I got denths, I've got salvia, cosmos.
I'm hoping this is going to be the first year that I get an artichoke big enough to eat. Last year, it just went to flower, but the plant has gotten way bigger. I'm slowly trying to get rid of my lawn. I'm trying to put in flower beds just about everywhere that I can.
So, I've got one right by my mailbox.
I've got one under my tree and I've got a huge one up around the house. And this is good on so many levels because not only do I have to mow less, but I also have a lot of pollinators come to visit my garden, which helps out my food crops. I can't remember if these are onions or these are garlic or both.
These are definitely onions. And some of them are getting really big. And I think this is my second year I'm growing flowers inside the garden tubs with the food crops like the peppers and the tomatoes and everything. And it seems to be really working out well. I need to harvest this daicon radish, but I also kind of like having them there because my chickens like eating them. Look at those suckers. Those are decent sized radishes and the chickens love eating the greens. All of my bonsai plants and pre-bonsai plants have woken up from the winter and I'm trying to get them in some sort of a shape before the summer heat kicks in and everything is either very bushy or very floral.
I'm trying anyway. The chickens keep trying to eat everything so I have to put cages around so many things. Yeah, you guys are a couple of brats. You know that. Anyway, the rain is picking up a little bit. I'm getting tired of wiping off my screen. So, I'm going to go inside. But if you like this type of content, let me know. And I will continue to make some gardening videos and throw those in the mix.
