War films often prioritize dramatic storytelling over historical accuracy, as demonstrated by the unrealistic depiction of a small tank crew fighting for hours against an entire SS battalion in the film 'Fury,' whereas actual combat would have resulted in the crew's quick defeat or capture due to overwhelming enemy forces and superior anti-tank weapons like panzerfausts.

Fury | Beyond the frontAjouté :
This is why the ending of Fury makes zero sense.
Five men inside a broken-down Sherman tank [music] fighting for hours against a goddamn SS battalion. I mean, the ambush would have worked at first, but after that, the SS soldiers would [music] take cover, probably not run straight towards the tank, surround it, and hammer it with panzerfausts, which they brought plenty of from the start.
Within minutes, the crew would be dead or captured. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it. It was a grim, authentic war film with an insane amount of detail until the last battle. It could have been so much better in my opinion. What do you think?
