the most dangerous path doesn't look evil

[00:00:00]No one enters into life thinking, "I'm going to enter into the path of the wicked." And this verse 19 is really interesting. It's like they don't even know what they're stumbling over.

[00:00:07]They're on this path and they have no idea they're on this path.

[00:00:11]Like why don't people know? Why do people walk in the path of the wicked?

[00:00:15]Oftentimes, the path of the wicked doesn't feel or look wicked. I think that's one implication. Sometimes, there's some stuff that clearly you shouldn't do. What that looks like is and yet not know.

[00:00:28]And I thought about how and it's for a particular moment and often the exhortation is, "Hey, you should pass on that.

[00:00:37]You should restrain yourself from that."

[00:00:40]And sometimes what they're calling you to pass on and restrain from are good things.

[00:00:44]Path of the wicked, going for what you want, and wisdom, what's interesting about wisdom in a lot of the proverbs is it goes contrary to that a lot of times.

[00:00:53]Going for what's practical, going for what's comfortable, or maybe even what's easy at the time. So, what is the role of wisdom? Actually, in Proverbs, the role of wisdom, it's directed towards young people.
