Pride organizer facing serious charges

[00:00:00]Canadian LGBT activist and founder of Innisfil Pride, that's in Ontario, has appeared in court on charges of sex trafficking.

[00:00:11]Jake Tucker who has a baby he obtained through surrogacy with his husband is also facing sexual assault charges. Now, it I it seems to me, if you read the story, it's pretty well known that he was facing these charges and yet he was still allowed to be the face of Pride because uh I guess everything that was happening in the background uh since 2022 was fine and dandy. So So He was Go ahead. He was pimping women. He was He was pimping women. He faces a total of 10 counts against two victims. Yeah.

[00:00:46]>> Uh he convinced them to enter the sex trade for him and slowly began to exercise more control over them, so coercive control. So this is an absolutely um a Well, this sounds like an abuse of very very abusive man. How he was ever allowed to procure a child?

[00:01:09]It's almost like that's human trafficking, too. That is human trafficking, without question. And you Just for the record, I have every dog in this race.

[00:01:19]Uh our family was created thanks to in part to um advanced fertility treatments. Uh our family actually has donated embryos.

[00:01:30]We had so We were so great I am so fertile, you guys. I had so many babies in such a short amount of time that we had leftover embryos that were already created. Which we gave up for adoption.

[00:01:42]Now, this is going back to 2015. This is over 11 years ago, but they can be stored forever. Um and and our thought process was well, you know, if we have the opportunity to help a family that can't for whatever reason create uh a baby or babies on their own, well then this would be a gift to that family.

[00:02:04]Never in a million years, you guys.

[00:02:06]Okay, I sat down with my husband and I said, "Look, this is what's happening in the world now.

[00:02:10]What do you think of this?" He said, "I never ever ever would have done it had I thought this is who could one day eventually end up with your embryos."

[00:02:21]Yeah. And these So So a guy who is now being investigated for >> No, he's on trial. Well, he's on Excuse me. Who was investigated and was charged and is on trial for sex trafficking has access with his gay husband to a newborn baby that they would have bought by some means or or procured by Excuse me, in Canada it is um against the law to buy a baby, but there are ways. There are ways. There are ways.

[00:02:52]>> all sorts of incentives that well-to-do gay men can use on poor vulnerable women who are forced to sell their DNA in order to keep a roof over their heads.

[00:03:05]There are ways for those men to uh to sweeten the pot for those vulnerable women. And And so a man A man that is on trial for abusing women in in a really hideous way, like in a in a way that that uh sexually violates her. Is this a man who should be able to procure a child in Canada? Should gay men be able to procure children in Canada? I would argue not. I would argue that a mother is fundamental to the to the development of every child. And that by denying children of a mother, which is um how every human the experience of every human since the beginning of humanity has had, by denying these children a mother, it it is abuse. It is abuse.

[00:03:54]It just to alleviate maybe some of your concerns about uh those embryos. In the United States and in Canada, there's such a strong movement of young Catholics to adopt those embryos.

[00:04:08]Um there's a several organizations, Catholic organizations, uh connecting people with uh embryos for adoption. But uh this gets >> I should get in touch with them because my clinic is in the United States. Even Even 15 years ago in Canada, the wait times were so atrocious to see a fertility doctor. We're talking years.

[00:04:32]Years to see the doctor, to get the whatever. Uh we called up a clinic in the United States and we were like, "What Um could you tell me what your wait list is?" And they were like, "You're calling from Canada, aren't you?" And I was like, "How can you tell?" And she was like, "Because you always ask about wait lists." She goes, "How does Monday at noon sound?" And I went I think I found where we're going. Yeah. And our babies were made in Las Vegas, Nevada.

[00:04:56]>> [laughter] >> In the party capital of the world, our babies hung up for 3 years in suspended um Olivia, do you want to just show the picture of how my babies in in their suspended Let me just I'll give the people a I'll give the people a lesson in in in vitro fertilization. So your babies are created, they take the egg out of the mom, they take the sperm out of the dad, they put them together, and they watch them grow. And these are babies that are 5 days post conception, so they're still in the Petri dish here.

[00:05:27]One is hatching, the one on the left Excuse me, the right is hatching. So is the one on the top hatching. Uh but these became my babies and I saw them at this age. They are They are so miraculous, these little things. Under the microscope, you can see their cells dividing. Yeah.

[00:05:43]>> You can watch them pulsing with life. It is the most It is the most miraculous thing I've ever seen. And uh and and with the magic of science and technology, this is how we made our family. So Here you go, guys. These are what my 5-year-old embryos. These are the only pictures you'll ever see of my children.

[00:06:04]>> [laughter] >> Well, and yeah, and leave it to the perverts of the world to turn this into some sort of uh human trafficking operation. But just back on the case of this weirdo from uh accused uh Yeah.

[00:06:15]accused I I think he's a weirdo generally, but accused pervert. Um the Simcoe Pride uh suspended collaborations with Innisfil Pride in July of 2022. So everybody knew.

[00:06:33]However um Tucker continued to serve as the president while hosting public events, including during Pride Month of June 2023. He hosted the town's pride raising ceremony at the local city hall. And they advertised on the website as uh that it was for all ages. Um the mayor, Lynn Dollin, said during the event, "This is a great step forward in recognizing the town's focus on You better believe it, diversity, equity, and inclusion."

[00:07:03]>> Mayor Lynn. She's got something to answer for. Oh, she Oh, I believe that I believe that Yep, them chickens are coming home to roost, MAYOR LYNN.

[00:07:15]YEP.

[00:07:17]YEAH.

[00:07:17]>> Describes itself Describes itself as a resource for learning about LGBTQ+ allies and activists.

[00:07:25]I bet those allies and activists represent a disproportionate number of people that are investigated and charged with sex crimes. I bet. Like if we I think so. Yeah. Like if we looked into the stats, and we have, and for sure that's what's happening.

[00:07:38]>> Yeah. Yeah. But the I wonder I wonder what kind of partnerships those Pride uh those Pride groups have with local law enforcement. Like I wonder if What What Listen. It It escapes nobody's attention that when local police forces or federal police forces, for that matter, partner with Pride organizations um they're blinding themselves to a high-risk group. So was this guy able to operate? Well, obviously he was. If he was at the Pride flag raising ceremony and the mayor said something nice about it. Um they missed the red flags that would have in every other world identified him as a as as a as a person that's not doing good things. Right.

[00:08:29]>> they're blinded by their They're blinded by their allyship and their activism. And this puts all Canadians at risk. Like They They let him go on for 2 more years.

[00:08:45]They didn't care. I wonder who funded that group. I wonder who funded that group. I bet it was nothing more than a grant application. Like that's it. These Innisfil Pride. I'm going to take a look after we're off air. Okay. Yeah, let's find out who was funding this guy's Pride group.

[00:09:00]>> know exactly who was, but uh I'll take a look afterwards to see exactly the dollar amount. But hey, credit where credit is due to Simcoe Pride, who obviously noted that something was amiss here and took steps to distance themselves. Good for you guys. You Yeah, you you should do that. Yeah, you should do that. The safety of your members is is paramount, too. And when you have predators in your midst, you should separate from them.
