[00:00:00]I'm happy to share my pregnancy status as of today. Because with pregnancy after loss, that's all I have is where I'm at today.

[00:00:10]And I can't project into the future. I did the NIPT as soon as I could, came back clear. I did the nuchal translucency ultrasound, came back clear. I had an early anatomy scan, came back clear. I had an anatomy scan, everything looked good. I chose not to go with the IVF route for a few different reasons. So, this pregnancy was conceived naturally. That in and of itself was very, very nerve-wracking for me. I decided not to get an amniocentesis or a CVS. My doctor never suggested it. She knows my entire history. There was no data to suggest that that was something that I needed to do.

[00:00:47]My CVS was excruciatingly painful. It was very traumatic for me. And I didn't want to inflict any further physical, emotional, or mental trauma, or re- re-traumatize myself in any way if I didn't absolutely have to. And so, in an act of self-preservation, I chose not to pursue the amniocentesis. As I mentioned earlier, the doctor never mentioned it, the doctor never suggested it.

[00:01:13]I I talked to my husband about it, and it was just like I don't know. The risk didn't necessarily outweigh the benefit for me.

[00:01:22]Also, the chances of having another Trisomy 21 pregnancy is pretty rare. Not super rare, but kind of rare. I My husband and I it was not a karyotype situation. Um also, the chances of that going undetected with that many screenings, also very rare. In addition to that, with an amniocentesis or a CVS, could it pick up on other like diagnoses, illnesses, all of these other things? Absolutely. Um but there are a lot of things that the that's not in that data set, and and that's not in that data profile. So, I do think that that's part of the risk of parenting. At least that's something I've told myself.

[00:01:57]So yes, as of today everything looks okay.

[00:02:01]And I'm so grateful and I have so much gratitude.

[00:02:05]And I'm also so scared.
