Why Ukrainians are doomed to fight forever.

[00:00:00]Trump is handing influence in Europe over to Russia and China through direct actions already. The withdrawal of troops from Germany is only the first real step after numerous statements and intentions about leaving NATO. This is not simply about the number of US troops or the presence of bases in Europe, not about 5,000 soldiers. It's about the overall strategy and policy of the United States and above all about nuclear support. This policy of nuclear deterrence was formed after World War II as a system of collective security for Western countries, for the civilized world, precisely to protect against the threat of Soviet expansion, which Moscow is now carrying out. Ukraine as a borderland of the civilized world has been a shield of Europe against the invasion of the Golden Horde and Muscovites from the previous millennium to this very day. In archives, in the works of Ukrainian thinkers of the 16th century, there are direct concepts of administrative and military organization of Ukrainian lands for resisting enemies from the east, north, and south who spreads their expansion and threatening it Europe. I wrote my term paper at the university on the ideas and projects of Joseph Velshinsky, a Ukrainian political and religious figure, philosopher, who described the threats facing Europe and the role of Ukraine in the global defense strategy in the 16th century.

[00:01:45]And what is striking is that more than 400 years have passed, but the threats and problems have not been resolved or changed at all. Today's frontline in Ukraine literally runs through the same territories that appeared as a borderlands in the defensive concept of the ancient Ukrainian thinker. The geographical directions of a threat, the staging grounds for invasion, the logistical roads of attack remain exactly the same. The Ukrainian thinker Vereshchinsky described in details the various tortures that Ukrainians were subject to in the 1590s and they completely coincide with what Muscovites are doing to Ukrainians in the captivity today. The methods of torture used by Muscovite soldiers against Ukrainians remain similar, as do the murders of civilians and identical rapes of women and children. Everything that has existed during the last years of the modern war fully corresponds to the precedents described in the 16th century. Vereshchinsky wrote that the enemies prolong a person's life only so that they may die longer.

[00:03:02]And literally word for word, the same thing is heard today from the prisoners freed from the Russian captivity. In the defense concept of Vereshchinsky and in practice in our own time, it was precisely the suburbs of Kyiv that absorbed the main heat in the defense of the capital and suffering the greatest losses and destruction while delaying the enemy. Also today, the construction of lines of fortifications on the northern lands around Kyiv remains a fundamentally important factor in the future development of history and in the global defense strategy of Europe, something the Ukrainian thinker wrote about more than 400 years ago. Nothing changed. The east and south of Ukraine also suffered attacks typical of the 16th century. There are a lot of vast empty lands, and often the enemy's successful advance is indeed caused precisely by the absence of settled population centers with developed fortification lines where resistance could be maintained successfully for a long time, preventing the enemy from advancing deep into the country. And now we fight exactly in these vast uninhabited fields with a minimum number of towns and villages geographically located in the very same area described in the ancient works that are literally being rapidly occupied at this very moment. History and practice show that Ukrainian lands are truly condemned to a constant war.

[00:04:48]Our geographical position and our neighbors leave no alternative. That's exactly why I believe that despite the war, you still have to study, to develop your skills, to develop your business, and do it in parallel with fighting.
