the time i almost died in India part 2Added:
But I and I woke up and the bed was completely soaked in sweat, but my fever was gone and I felt totally fine. And she was like, "Are you okay?" And I was like, "I think I'm fine. I feel fine. I I don't have a fever anymore." And she was like, "Okay, well, maybe it was just like a 24-hour bug or something like that. Like, I anything could happen." I was like, "Yeah, I think you're right." So, that day she flies to Stockholm, Sweden and I'm left there in India. But sure enough, that night my fever and the headache came back like even harder. And the same thing happened that night. Like, just the crazy headache. I had took more meds and, you know, I'm just like having cold sweats and my bed is soaked. I'm like, "I need to get out of here. Something is wrong." But thankfully, thankfully, my brother is a physician, okay? He's an emergency medical doctor. And the amount of times I've called this man and be like, "Hey, there's something wrong with me." So, I told him and I was like, "Hey." And I explained to him what was going on.
And he was like, "Hey, I think you have malaria." I was like, "I have what?"
He was like, "That's malaria. You get these things called vampire fevers where basically you have a fever only in the night time, but it breaks during the [music] day." So, he was like, "Yeah, I'm 99% sure just based on that that you have malaria considering you are in India." And I know what you're thinking, "Nick, why don't you take, you know, the malaria jab?" Well, there is no malaria jab. There's only a once-a-day medication that you can take for it.
And I stopped taking it. I did bring it with me, but literally no one I was with was taking it either. I'm kind of like, "Okay, do I see a doctor?" And my brother's like, "There's nothing really a doctor can do for you, but what you can do the type of medication that I was taking was called Malarone. He was like, "You know, Malarone's really cool because you can quadruple the dose for 8 days and it actually kills the protozoa that is the parasite." So, I was like, "Okay, that's what I'm going to do." He was like, "Why don't we do that and just like see where we go from there."
