TGV³ Commentary: Dugan Ashley is guilty in his own words - How can you even defend this?Hinzugefügt:
Hey everybody, it's Jason from the Texas Gun Vault 3 and we are back out here in the garage for unfortunately another commentary video because as much as I want to talk about all the cool guns that are currently into the channel for review and what I'm taking to the range next, I've been caught up in this whole Dugan Ashley thing because I'm kind of passionate about it. Not because I have any malice or disgust or hatred towards Dugan Ashley, but simply because I think my role being in the spotlight, as small as that is, is important because I am an ambassador for the Second Amendment. I'm an ambassador for the gun community and I want to represent you and the firearms world as best as I possibly can because I am aware that everything that I create can get publicly scrutinized and therefore people that might be anti-gun or people that would be centrist will see my content and I want them to have a positive takeaway from everything that I create because if I create something positive in the aggregate and in the long term I might be able turn people to our cause, bring people into the fold of the Second Amendment. And I think it's really important that all firearms YouTubers take this mentality. And I am noticing that there is a disagreement, I guess, within the community regarding the case of Dugan Ashley and how people are defending him, which by the way, I need to apologize about one thing as you might hear it. It's now that time in Texas where things are starting to get hot and humid and so I have a fan running out here. If I didn't have that fan running, I'd be sweating like crazy.
So, I apologize if there's a little bit of a hum in the background. I'll see if I can take some of that out when I edit the video and mess around with the sound. But getting back to what I was saying, I know that I am small potatoes, but at any time any video that I can create or do create may go viral for whatever reason that is. So that's why I'm very careful with every piece of content that I create. And I want to make sure that when I have an opinion or I make a statement, it's as well thought out and representative of the gun world in a positive way as I can make it. And I'm seeing big-time gun tubers, I think, fall into a trap because, of course, they're way bigger than I am. They have much more reach than I do. And when anti-gunners or people in the center or people that are in mainstream media research these topics, they're going to find, of course, the big channels like Mr. Guns & Gear. And by the way, I'm going to talk about some people in this video. And I don't want you to think that in any way I am disparaging them as an individual because I don't know them.
I have no malice or hatred towards them.
All I am doing is discussing the ideas and opinions that they put out in public, which I believe if I do in a civil and rational way is the way that normal adults should handle things. So just because I might disagree with Mr. Guns and Gear or Dugan Ashley or Matt Hoover or whoever it is or whoever your favorite gun tuber is. It doesn't mean that I hate them. It just means I disagree. And there's no malice in that.
So, I hope that you don't show me me any malice or anger or hate because I just want things to be civil. That's another thing I'm trying to do here on YouTube is elevate the dialogue to the next level where we are more intellectual versus reactionary. And by the way, there's also a fly in here apparently.
So, all right. So, let's talk about Mr. Gunzinggeear for just a moment. He has been posting things that in my opinion are obviously trying to defend Dugan Ashley, trying to get the word out, which I think is fantastic. He's trying to make people aware, but it is very obvious to me that his interest in this is probably because he likes Dugan or he is trying to defend him or maybe he thinks that he is innocent. Okay? And he is free to think that. That is totally fine.
But once again, I I mentioned that when people that are outside of our community look into this and see how the gun world reacts, especially when it comes to the defense of Dugan Ashley, that could change the hearts and minds of people.
Because if things come out that Dugan was doing bad things or has done or said bad things that could be illegal, that we're defending him, then it makes us look like we don't care about the rule of law. We don't care about uh life, meaning we're totally fine if somebody on our side hurts somebody else using an explosive device, which by the way, it's funny how a lot of people are trying to change the words now. They don't call them explosives, they call them energetics. You know, it's they're trying to like downplay what they are.
Now, I've been in the gun world for a long time and I haven't heard anybody use the term energetics. I'm not saying people haven't, but everyone's called them explosives or if you're dealing with gunpowder, propellants, but never energetic. So, them trying to change the terminology, I think says a lot about how they feel about their position.
But anyway, getting back to defending um Dugan Ashley or people that are defending Dugan Ashley, it's important that if it comes out he's done something bad or illegal that we need to say, you know what, we agree that that was wrong because we don't want death and destruction. But if it turns out that there are very vocal people in our community that are willing to say horrible and evil things to people just because they disagree with them in defense of Dugan, it makes them almost complicit. I'm not saying they actually are complicit, but it almost looks like to a person on the left or a person in the center or an anti-gunner or any position that's anti-gun or potentially anti-gun or maybe neutral, they're going to go, "These gun people are crazy." And everything the anti-gunners say about them is right. So, in this video, I want to read two things to you, okay? Two things. And I want you to make up your mind on the implications of this because once again, everybody everybody's saying Dugan has been brought up on trumped up charges. He's being made an example of he's completely innocent. So the first thing I would like to read is, and of course, let me uh pull this up here.
It is federal law regard regarding um uh explosives. And I'll put up the actual uh law and the code to it. I guess it's like 18 USC or whatever it is, but here it is. It's part uh P and it says, "It shall be unlawful for any person to teach or demonstrate the making or use of an explosive, a destructive device, or a weapon of mass destruction, or to distribute by any means information pertaining to in whole or in part the manufacturer or use of an explosive, destructive device, or weapon of mass destruction with the intent that the teaching, demonstration, or information be used for or in furtherance of an activity that constitutes a federal crime of violence or B to teach or demonstrate to any person the making or use of an explosive, a destructive device or a weapon of mass destructive sorry destruction or to distribute to any person by any means information pertaining to in whole or in part the manufacturer or use of an explosive destructive device or weapon of mass destruction.
knowing that such person intends to use the teaching, demonstration or information for or in furtherance of an activity that constitutes a federal crime of violence. Okay, so that is one of the statutes that Dugan Ashley has been charged with violating. And of course, a lot of people are simply saying he didn't do any of that. He was just making explosives for his own personal use, which is completely legal.
And he's simply using his freedom of speech to show uh how to do it. That's it. But I want to bring up a social media post from Dugan Ashley. This is going to be in his words. And what I'm going to ask from you to do is to put yourself in the position of a juror that doesn't know anything about firearms.
isn't passionate about the Second Amendment. They've just been put onto a jury and they were just read that law and more and more specifically talking about the intent of distributing that information in the furtherance of a federal crime of violence, which by the way is terrorism and murder. So, this is a post and I'm going to put it on up here from Dugan Ashley and we're going to read this. It's in his own words.
This is not me paraphrasing. This is not me making anything up. Now, this was posted well before all the stuff went down and you can decide what his intent was with the information he was sharing.
So, Doo says, "You know how all the YouTube channels want you to thumbs up and subscribe all the time and are worried about offending their viewers because they want to sell you something?
That's not me.
I'm a giver. I want nothing from you, especially if you have spiritual aids. I don't want you to comment, like, or subscribe. I make my videos for myself.
And the 5% of viewers that are using the information to kill their enemies right now and will in the future. If you are upset because of what I write, you should just unsubscribe. In fact, everyone should just unsubscribe. It makes no difference. I will still remind you of the police uh sorry, I will still remind you of who police kneel to. If you stay subscribed, you are waving your right to not be radicalized.
I will radicalize you one way or another. I don't even care which way.
Okay. Now, that is his freedom of speech to post that. But let's break that down real fast. What did he say in that?
Well, he's talking about the radicalization of people. Okay, that in and unto itself isn't bad. You know, we all might be able to say, well, I'm a a radical fan of, you know, Chevrolet or Ford or NASCAR or racing or whatever you're into. You know, there's nothing wrong with that. The term radical doesn't necessarily have a negative connotation. It just means you're passionate about something. But you'll notice there was one thing in there he said, and this is to me the most damning thing. And to the 5% of viewers that are using the information to kill their enemies right now and will in the future.
I just want you to think about that for a moment. And then think about the federal statute that I read a few moments ago.
He is admitting in his own words and in his post that he knows the information that he is giving out and he puts it at 5% of viewers which is quite a lot will use the information that he is presenting to kill other people to kill their enemies.
So, put yourself once again in that jury box.
And the prosecutor says, "This is what federal law is."
He intended or knew the information was going to be used in the furtherance of a federal crime.
He just said it in plain English. He knew it was going to be used in the furtherance of a federal crime.
And what if this information, knowing full well it was going to be used to kill and harm people, killed your child, killed a family member, I think you'd be pretty upset.
if he was just doing innocent chemistry videos and didn't put any of this out there, didn't burn an Israeli flag, not that it's anti- I'm not saying that the reason he's being brought up on charge is that he's anti-semitic, but just goes to a particular mindset. And he even talks about radicalization here, but he says in his own words, he knows this will be used and he still puts out that information.
I don't think I have anything else to say.
And for all of you that are defending him and this action, I ask you to re-evaluate, to look into your own heart and ask yourself, is this the behavior, the actions, and the person that you want to represent? you.
All it takes for our rights to be taken away in many legislatures around the country, in various states, and in Congress, is just the switching of a few votes. A lot of places, it's close to 50/50.
And our rights hang in the balance. And luckily, for the most part, we have just a few more people that are on our side, the centrists, than they than the anti-gunners do.
But when you have somebody that you are defending as a hero of the second a uh second amendment movement and you're defending him saying he's doing nothing wrong and the prosecutors show you this him saying I know this information will be used to kill people and then proceeding to give that information that shows intent.
that takes his chemistry video to the next level. It shows that he is radicalized and he wants to radicalize others. His words, not mine, not my interpretation.
This is damning evidence.
So, I don't understand why you want to defend him. And this is why I'm taking the stance that I do.
If the ATF or the DOJ or whatever wanted to make an example of a firearms YouTuber to scare all of you, why not go after Hickok? Why not go after Kolon Noir? Why not go after these other gun tubers that are huge? They're they're gigantic.
Why not? Because they don't break the law. And for the most part, they go out of their way to tell you not to break the law.
They don't say anything that's radicalized. They don't say anything that is incendiary. and they don't talk about killing their enemies or saying that the information that they put out is going to be used to kill their enemies or enemies of people who get that information. Imagine if a trainer like Ben Stoer said, "I'm going to teach you how to run these drills, how to run these guns faster, and I know 5% of you are going to use this to commit mass murder." You would SAY, "WHOA, WHOA, WHAT THE hell is that about?" And you should think that and you would know that would not be good.
It wouldn't be moral. It wouldn't be ethical and it would make us look like a horrible community and it would switch some of those centrist votes to being anti-gun going the gun community is out of control.
We're going to take away their rights.
This is no different. The only reason this isn't bigger than what it is is because Duggan Ashley is not as big as those other gun tubers. That's the only reason. So why are you defending him?
Why are you sitting there thumbming down my video and calling me a name when all I'm saying is you can disagree with me, but I'm here for the preservation of life and the extension and advancement of our liberties and our freedoms. And in order for us to do that, we have to be good stewards of that right. We have to be ethical. We have to be moral. And we have to be better than the people that are our adversaries.
And when many people in our community want to defend this, we've lost. We're going to lose because it gives fuel to the anti-gunners and it gives fuel to the centrists to turn on us and we lose all of our rights.
Is losing all of your rights worth energetics chemistry videos?
I just want to read this one more time just to kind of, you know, drive it home.
and the 5% of viewers that are using the information to kill their enemies right now and will in the future. That's who he says he's making his videos for. He makes videos for himself and those five%.
That's his intent.
I read you the federal law. So now I ask you take emotions out of it. Use this What do you think? How would you vote in that jury box? I would love to know. So, if you made it to the end of this video and want to use my word of the day in your comment to let me know that you're a true vault dweller and besides tell me how you really think about this and what do you think about this social media post, use the word jury because Dugan Ashley gets a trial by jury. He gets to be tried by a jury of his peers and that's great. That's the way our legal system is supposed to work. and he can mount his own defense. He can present evidence. But I already know what's coming up in this trial. I read you the law and I read you his mind and intent through what he created in his own words. So let me know what you think in the comments section below. And as always, thanks for watching.
