Helldivers 2 New Enemy Faction Update Causes Super Earth Chaos…

[00:00:00]Hello fellow hell divers. Thornton here out enjoying one of the last few days we're going to be able to snowboard this season in Colorado. That being said, we're going to be talking about Rebels today. Not only rebels in the game files, but rebels in the player base itself in the custom Galactic War.

[00:00:13]There's a lot to cover here. We're going to go over all that. But without further ado, let's get into today's video. So fellow hell divers, before we dive into the newest topic, we are going to be talking about how we did complete the most recent major order. However, the dispatch has been bugged for about 3 months now. It has a lot of people, you know, kind of complaining. is completely reasonable. It just never seems to be fixed. And it would be nice to know what happened next in the story line instead of just arc 6 completed intro 15 or whatever it usually says. That being said, we do have new major orders. And also, well, we're going to talk about the new custom Galagic War. We talked about it the other day in a video where I was allowed to go ahead link to the Discord server from the owner of that Discord server just to let anyone try it out that they wanted to. But very quickly, as a lot of you noticed, well, it was locked down and new players couldn't join. Well, it all had to do with a little bit of Hell Divers on the subreddits and most notably Hell Divers unfiltered if you've ever been there.

[00:01:03]Now, there's a reason very specifically for this. It is an unfiltered subreddit, so you can say whatever you want. And well, just a day after it went live, there was this post that was put up right away saying, "Public service announcement. The Custom Galactic War is run by Glaze Divers planning on continuing Arrowheads Nerf rampage. Not only are they extremely hostile towards any criticism or reasonable balance requests, they're also threatening to ban anyone disagreeing with them, which is, you know, exactly the point of why they shut down the server for new invites, at least one of them. There's actually a bunch of them. Well, the important thing to know about that is that post had a bunch of images attached to it, and they were all photoshopped.

[00:01:38]The whole thing was made up by one angry hell diver on the unfiltered subreddit to go ahead and try and smear those people. Not to mention the other thing is, and this is something I very specifically pointed out in the custom Galactic War thread, it's amazing that a subread that is super toxic to devs is surprised that a fan project Discord wouldn't want them in to later down the road fire the same vitrial at them.

[00:01:58]Which is exactly what happened with that Photoshop post, by the way. Not to mention, very specifically on the Custom Galactic War, it says, "While the Custom Galactic War does offer a different experience from the official one, the team has no intention to oneup Arrowhead Game Studios in any way, shape, or form.

[00:02:12]Their work is respected and acknowledged by all members of the team. Our intention was never to seow discord and perpetuate hatred within the community and that will always remain as the centerpiece of our vision. And then immediately on the hell divers unfiltered subreddit, they go ahead and post memes saying modders were able to make this in a few weeks with less people in a non-existent budget, aiming it directly at Arrowhead. That was exactly the reason why this project is supposed to be just something that some fans can get into if they want something different than the base game. It is not supposed to be a slight at Arrowhead or any other things. And of course on an unfiltered subreddit, and this isn't all users on there. There's some great people on there as well. But it because it is unfiltered, you're going to get a lot of hate and vitrial spilled at anyone working on this project and a lot of divisiveness, which is not the intention of the project. By the way, the gameplay you've been watching in the background is the brand new custom Galactic War. The gameplay comes from Brother Ox. I highly recommend checking out his YouTube. He has a bunch of great content that also covers a bunch of cool stuff coming to the game. But don't worry, this video isn't about well the Hell Divers player base itself being the rebel faction coming in which we are going to go over some information and stuff in the files. It just ties in directly to the fact that Hell Divers community is splitting creating its own rebel faction which I find is a level of irony. But anyways, let's go over what's in the files about a rebel faction because there's a ton of stuff in the files that indicates that yes, there is going to be a faction we have not yet before seen in the Hell Divers universe because Hell Divers one, we haven't seen the Galactic Map have four different factions on it. Anyways, let's just start talking about what we know. One, we know that there is going to be a presidential election in the near future. We've gone over the game files, but there's nothing that a lot of players are kind of curious about now.

[00:03:44]Could the fact that a president was elected without us actually knowing lead to a rebellion? And will there be a fourth faction after the Illuminate, such as the Super Earth Rebels? And we have a couple of stuff that points towards yes. Iron let us know that rebels exist alongside civilians as NPCs in the game files. Not sure when, if they will be added. appears to be leftover content from early development.

[00:04:05]He went ahead and gave us a little bit more information, such as there are rebels in the files, but that might not really be considered a full faction.

[00:04:11]They are classified under Super Earth.

[00:04:14]I'd love to see environment-based subfactions like we saw in early concept art. Seeing these automatons and forest would be so cool, and it is actually a very cool image, but that makes me wonder if they're not going to be a full force faction, then what exactly are they going to be? And a Thunder actually went ahead who's another notable data miner and thinks that rebels are just a story plot device. And I think that would line up perfectly with the whole presidential election thing as most rebellions are actually formed because members of the society don't agree with what the government has done. That being said, they'll probably going to have to face the wall. But there is a ton of stuff found in the files that seem to indicate there's going to be a large story plot revolving around this and it might be something we might be fighting in the very near future. But in case you guys didn't know, there are a ton of factions right now within Super Earth.

[00:04:56]There is the Ministry of Humanity, Ministry of Prosperity, Ministry of Expansion, Ministry of Unity, Ministry of Science, and Ministry of Intelligence, but no one really needs that. Ministry of Truth, and of course, the Ministry of Defense. Now, all those actually have specific mission and goals found in the game files. For instance, the Ministry of Science is constantly pushing Super Earth technology forward and ensures our security over our enemies. As we know, we are going to be getting new types of weapons and a science officer. It makes sense that we're going to see this faction pop up pretty soon. Of course, the Ministry of Defense is responsible for the defense of Super Earth against external threats.

[00:05:26]It manages the Super Earth armed forces, which we'll probably see when that new mansion comes in with the president files, and we have to defend Super Earth itself. The Ministry of Unity ensures all of mankind is united as one and protects us from internal threats such as deviant behavior and expression of dangerous ideas. Fun enough, there is a rebel faction found in the MPC files.

[00:05:43]So, it does look like Ministry of Unity is going to have some work to do as that enemy faction will be coming in the near future. Of course, the Ministry of Expansion tirelessly works to increase Super Earth's reach and secure vital resources for our society to thrive. And the Ministry of Truth is responsible for keeping all citizens well informed and mentally equipped to withstand our enemies. Bile propaganda. And if you disagree with that, well, you need to go see your nearest democracy officer cuz they'd like to have a word with you.

[00:06:05]However, it's not just Super Earth that has a plethora of factions that are going to be coming into the game in the very near future. When we look at the galactic map, we notice that currently it is divided in such a way that there is going to be room for more factions, meaning that there will be something coming after the illuminate. But the question is, well, what is it going to be? And it appears that there is a person or a architect if you will that is running the game behind the scenes and could be actually be responsible also a fourth faction as well. At least according to some current theories. One that I liked by Asunder is that he's controlling all of them. This is all a giant war against super. Now, the first thing to go over is that there are a lot of people that are hoping we get rebels in the game. And it's very possible that that is an actual option because Iron Sight pointed out that in the files right now, there is an NPC type named Rebels. And what's important to know is that cyborgs in the original Hell Divers game were the rebels and they were a product of Super Earth. Iron Sides broke down pretty easily what's going on with the Rebel faction because there is a gentleman called the architect as we mentioned that seems to be the creator of the bots. It is going to be fairly far away and it was possibly sourced from the second group of cyborg researchers that fled from Cyberan during the 100-year raid. These researchers then formed the automaton development group. However, it's unknown right now if the architect is even human and file string speculate being an entirely new alien race, though that is speculated by the NPCs that are also in the game. We've actually seen science officers NPCs that we went over in a video the other day. They look to be part of an ongoing crew progression system that would be really cool coming in in the near future. There's also this other really cool transmission and it will give you a little bit more lore and insight and go into a little bit further of what iron sights is actually talking about into the cyborg menace. History matters. After the first galactic war, Super Earth kindly allowed the cyborg secessionists to live, giving them stable work deep within the minds of Cyberstan. But twisted by their implants, the cyborgs sought their revenge by creating the Automaton Legion.
