18/07/2026 - Clear skies overnight - Evening Weather Forecast UK– Met Office Weather
Added:Hello. No real sign of any change in the forecast over the coming days. Still remaining very dry, settled, and it doesn't look like high pressure is moving away anytime soon. Perhaps a very slight change for the overnight period as in clear skies across Scotland, northern parts of England, it's going to turn rather chilly here, possibly even seeing some grass frost in rural spots of Scotland and northern parts of England, and we've not seen that for a fair while. Otherwise, it's another dry night and perhaps some cloud, but also lots of clear skies. Like I said, turning chilly across parts of Scotland, northern England, perhaps pushing down into the low single figures, maybe even around freezing here. But across southern parts of Wales, southwest England, it's another fairly warm night to come.
Then as we head into Sunday, it's a very similar picture. Perhaps less cloud around, more in the way of blue skies, but in that northerly wind which might just be a little bit brisk at times, you'll probably notice it if you're sat anywhere around eastern coasts. And it will just bring in some cloud, perhaps this thick enough to produce a little bit of light rain around coasts of East Anglia. Some longer spells of rain as well pushing into northern parts of Scotland, and the odd shower or two perhaps bubbling up across southwest England. We may hear some rumbles of thunder associated with these, but they're very much going to be hit and miss. For the large majority, it's a dry day, plenty of blue skies, and a touch warmer compared to this afternoon as well. Many areas into the low to mid 20s, but well across many areas, it is going to be a touch warmer. Eastern areas of Scotland, Northern Ireland, quite a large area of England and Wales.
Don't be afraid by the blue colors across the south. It's not going to be that much cooler here, but just a touch cooler compared to this afternoon.
Now later on into the day, some late evening sunshine to finish off the weekend. And once again, this northerly flow will just drag some cloud southwards, still producing some light rain across the far north of Scotland.
Otherwise, another dry night, lots of clear skies, and it's not going to be going to be turning quite as chilly as the night previous, especially across Scotland and northern parts of England.
Looks like most towns and cities will remain between 12 to 16° C.
Now, into Monday. I did mention earlier there's not much change in the forecast, another very dry day, some quite strong intense sunshine, uh particularly across the south where we'll see the clearest of skies. We will still see some cloud being dragged southwards, still producing some light rain across northern parts of Scotland, perhaps thick enough at times to produce the odd light shower in Northern Ireland, and around any exposed coastal areas of the east, they may pick up the odd light shower or two, but not really too much rain to come on Monday or in the forecast, certainly not enough to wet wetten up the ground as much as we need it to. And fairly similar temperatures as well, highs reaching around 25 to 26° C for many areas, but still just that bit cooler around some eastern coasts in that northerly wind, so eastern Scotland, northeast England, that will just take the edge off the heat a little bit more.
Now, I did mention high pressure's not really moving anywhere, it sits to the west of us, so that's stopping any systems coming through, any systems that might potentially bring some rain. It sits to the west of us and doesn't really budge, so it does mean it's going to be remaining dry, settled, still with some sunshine, but no rain really in the forecast. Of course, don't forget for more updates, you can always subscribe to our YouTube channel, otherwise that's it from me. Bye-bye.
