The video expertly strips away the divine facade of Blake’s Urizen to expose the cold, measuring hand of reason as a source of human confinement. It is a necessary critique of how we often mistake the tools of logic for the essence of creation.

"천지창조가 아니었습니다" | 블레이크가 숨긴 '컴퍼스'의 비밀Ajouté :
It looks like a painting of the Creation.
A bearded figure leans out from a blazing sun, reaching down with a compass into the darkness below.
This is William Blake's "The Ancient of Days."
Painted in 1794, it was Blake's favorite work.
The title comes from the Book of Daniel — a name for God Himself.
Proverbs 8:27 "When He set a compass upon the face of the depth," the verse that inspired this very image.
But here's the twist.
Blake didn't paint this figure as the true Creator.
He is "Urizen," from Blake's own mythology.
The name means "Your Reason" — literally, your reason.
A god of cold logic, law, and measurement.
Blake is asking a question.
That compass measuring the world — isn't it also a line that cages us?
Creation, or confinement?
The answer is up to you.
