[00:00:00]Welcome back. I am a bass singer, and a cappella enthusiast, and today we're reacting to Misty Mountains by The Base Gang. The Base Gang is probably my favorite a cappella group. Obviously, four basses as a bass singer.

[00:00:14]They're really creative, a lot of cool [snorts] stuff. They did this they filmed a whole EP in Egypt. They got together for the first time.

[00:00:23]And I'm really excited to see what happens cuz I've heard a lot of good things. I've been waiting um I'm on their Patreon. They released the early access for the audio, and I haven't listened to it because I want to get a first-time reaction with the video. So, I'll be commenting on the video and the audio together for the first time. Let's get right into it.

[00:01:01]First of all, they picked the right person to do this camera work because look at that framing. You can see how they're like secluded within the rocks.

[00:01:09]I was going to bring something up, but they have like a frame around them.

[00:01:13]Actually, I have a shirt here on my bed because I don't do my laundry that often, okay?

[00:01:19]Look, I get I'm messy, but it helps.

[00:01:23]So, they have like this they have a frame going around them, which is really cool because it's a natural frame.

[00:01:29]Usually, you would put something like a picture frame, right? But in video and in photography, too, you would have like a natural frame like this rocks around your subject, and it's just such a cool detail that not all videographers know to do, but they picked the right one.

[00:01:49]Also, this is just so cool. They have a real fire and everything.

[00:05:58]I've never heard a rendition of the song. I don't even know what they're doing. It's like a call and response. The wind was the wind was I just love that so much. This is insane.

[00:07:07]>> [music] [singing] [music] [music] >> There's [snorts] also a very nice contrast with the dark blue and the orange scenes cuz dark blue and orange are on separate sides of the color spectrum. I don't know if it's spectrum, but if you get a color circle, you get blue, and you get orange, it's on separate sides, contrasting colors. It's good.

[00:08:53]Okay, he's using his higher range, which is, you know, like most people's mid-range.

[00:09:00]Um It's just he's I guarantee you he's going to do like and something into I know. I'm just waiting for it.

[00:09:11]If he doesn't I'll be a little disappointed, but I still love the song.

[00:10:36]Okay, I was a little disappointed that he didn't go down, but that is fine because what we got instead, I think is much better. Also, if you go back to the Bobby shots here, I love how the camera gets up close, it gets all those those lens flares.

[00:10:56]Okay. Now, I'll go back to this part right after cuz you'll see how they go from Bobby basically just soloing to Evan and just ba ba ba just straight going at it. Look at this.

[00:11:46]Toby just towering over everyone. That's great. I mean, obviously he's sitting at their city, but it's just like even more of a giant like That's great.
