[00:00:08]>> We are here to introduce a speed challenge >> from Poor Boys RC. The Poor Boys RC 2026 speed run challenge. And we're going to talk a little bit about what what we're doing in the challenge.

[00:00:24]>> and also, very importantly, we're going to show you how fast this super brat on the ORV chassis in totally stock form >> apart from a torque tuned motor.

[00:00:36]>> Oh, you got me, Rob. I did I put a torque tuned motor in and I forgot. But basically, it's pretty close to stock.

[00:00:42]It might be go what one or two more faster than the than the standard Mabuchi. So, we're going to speed test it for you. In fact, a bit of a cheat, really. We already speed tested it about three years ago, didn't we?

[00:00:58]And you were a lot younger.

[00:01:31]Let's just talk a little bit about the rules, then, Rob, because for the speed run challenge for the last four years, I think it is, there's been three classes. So, you could have brushed on 2S and NiMh.

[00:01:44]Uh you could have brushless.

[00:01:46]I think that was up to 3S.

[00:01:47]>> 3S, yeah.

[00:01:48]>> Loads of mods on that. You have to check out the rules later. And then you could have open where basically you use the chassis, but you can do >> anything.

[00:01:54]>> Sky's the limit, yeah. But this year, Phil has got a new, what we're hoping is a basically a cheaper option, hopefully open to like loads more people hopefully, and hopefully won't be going quite as fast, so won't be quite as tricky to find somewhere to run it. And that class is what we're going in in the off.

[00:02:13]>> It is, yeah.

[00:02:14]>> And it is the stock class. So basically, I don't think there's not virtually can't do anything to the chassis, but you can put ball bearings in. Uh that's for certain, and you can change the motor, but it's got to be, Rob, >> no more than a 15 turn closed can.

[00:02:35]>> Closed can, so yeah, no adjustable timing, guys. It's got to be closed can, and I'm pretty sure it's got to be a 540, but there will be another uh rules or zero rules video coming out soon that hopefully, Rob, >> will clarify exactly what you can >> Yeah, so or not do. I think Phil's asked us to help out, so Rob and I will be doing a Q&A, uh which will be on Phil's channel hopefully in the short future or in the near future, I should short future. In the near future, so keep your eye out for that. Uh but we'd better get on with this video, wouldn't we, yeah?

[00:03:19]Obviously, the Subaru Brat is another one. You've got the Monster Beetle. So you've got the the bigger wheel options in these, these are the small wheels, and you've also got the Blackfoot dude, which is also a bigger wheel in it. So I think the gearings different on the the two different the big wheel and the small wheel chassis, dude. These actually come with three gearing options, and I'll have put the high speed setting this, which I think is the 19 turn 19 tooth pinion. Uh can't remember what the uh the spur is.

[00:03:47]>> But yeah, 19 tooth, I think it's 16, 17, and 19 tooth. Not sure, I think the Monster Beetle is a 10 tooth. Yeah, I'm not sure. Yeah, totally different gearing, guys, but again, check out the future upcoming rules video because all that will be clarified what you can and can't use between the different sets of chassis. Anyway, let's get on with this one then, Rob.
