UV resin jewelry making involves pouring colored resin into molds, curing each layer with UV light, and assembling components using jump rings and attachments to create items like earrings, keyrings, and charms; the process requires thin layers for proper curing, UV-resistant gloves during mixing, and can be customized with various colors and dyes.

BRAND NEW - You will love this LET'S RESIN JEWELLERY KIT - JUST LAUNCHEDAdded:
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. We have got something brand new from Let's Resin. This is hot off the press. Just launched yesterday. This is their brand new floral jewelry making kit, 100 pieces. And oh my goodness me.
Let me tell you, this one swept me away.
This video is sped up in places because I got so lost in a zone and I just could not stop making. So, the video is slightly sped up. Otherwise, I'd have you sitting here for the full 1 hour 40 that I had footage of. So, this is the kit. Brand new. You get two molds. This mold gorgeous. I've already got plans for this mold. Honestly, it could be anything. An entire necklace, you know.
It could be key rings, bag charms, you name it. This is a jewelry making kit, but also a keyring making kit. It comes with the flowers and the leaf components. And the leaves are gorgeous.
We'll be looking closer at those as well. Also, inside the kit, of course, you get your making manual, your instructions. I mean, there's a photo on the box. So, for me, I just followed what I wanted to do and took the photos on the box as inspiration. You also get these gorgeous little packing cards, which I just thought was such a cute idea cuz if you wanted to go on and sell your pieces or gift your pieces, then you've got a beautiful backing card for them. This bit, I got so excited for this. This is like a whole bag of charms. Like, let's resin, if you're watching, can I please just get a big bag of charms? Like keyring charms. That would be a best seller. So, you get jump rings, jump bales, small, large. You get earring studs, earring loops. You get a whole bag of charms, and you get a bag of key ring attachments. You also get this little mixing pot and two spoons for mixing. Or, I mean, you could also use these spoons to scoop your mica powder for another project. They're quite, you know, the flimsy silicon. Um, and and and and you get a whole bottle of UV resin in the kit as well. Of course, the UV resin comes with the lid. So, once you take that lid off, open up the foil, then you put your fresh lid on. Now, I already have a giant bottle of Let's resin, UV resin. So guys, I will be using that in this video, not the resin from the kit because I just don't want to open a fresh bottle for the sake of this video.
But of course, if you're just buying this kit as a beginner, like if you are a beginner, this is absolutely perfect. You also get a little UV light and it's actually so strong, it's unreal. And you get a whole series of different color UV resins. We have got white, we've got purple, we've also got blue, and we've got a pink, which is perfect for your flowers. And it also explains why I couldn't find the black.
I'm laughing to myself now because I'm like, "Oh, there was no black." Later on in the video, I'm looking for a black and I just can't find it anywhere. Um, and that's why because there was no black. But I do have black UV resin already from Let's Resin, so I use that.
Anyway, that's for a completely separate project. It wasn't even in this video.
Um, next up, and finally in the box, you get a six set of resin dyes. All of these colors can be used inside your UV resin to give you all of those beautiful shades for your leaves or for your flowers. You can mix and match as well.
We are going to be starting off with the Let's Resin colored UV resin. And they're not just colored, they're pearlescent, and they're so pretty. Now, I would also like to add that for the purposes of this video, I am making quite a lot in this video, and therefore, I decided to use my Let's Resin doublesided UV lamp. Now, I know that's not part of the kit, but because I was filming so much and doing so much, and I was in my craft room filming for well over an hour and a half, I just figured that the UV resin double-sided lamp would really, really help me. But again, it's a small little UV lamp that comes in your kit. And if you are an individual artist making gifts for people, it's perfect. It works perfectly. You do not need the big double-sided lamp, but again, I'm filming this. I'm doing quite a lot, so that is why I used it. Now, thin layers.
This is UV resin. You do need a UV lamp to cure this, but I would definitely recommend with the more opaque colors like these, thinner layers is best because what you want to do is make sure that that UV light has absolutely penetrated and cured both sides of your flower. So, if you're using a double-sided UV lamp, do not worry too much about it. Just put it in your machine and both sides will get cured.
If you are using the lamp that comes with the kit, again, it's a super strong little lamp, so it will do the job on thin layers again, but sometimes you might think about just flipping your mold upside down and curing the bottom as well, the underbelly, just making sure that both sides are fully cured.
So, you can see here I'm just doing really, really thin layers. I'm using a micro brush tool to spread them out. And the colors are so, so pretty. There's nothing to stop you mixing these colors together. I could have done a little bit of, you know, pink on the outside, blue on the inside, and blended them more, but I just decided to do the central area of the petals as well. The mold itself, honestly, is so pretty. Each flower, you get a set of two, right? So, you definitely get your matching pair, but then the next set is different. it's got a different embossing or the the the center of the flower is coming out or going in, you know, it's so different.
Now, here I am not prepared. I decided to make some green leaves, of course, naturally. Why wouldn't I? Um, and of course, I poured my UV resin into my cup, thinking, why did I do that? You know, the sun is shining. I've got my UV lamp on. So, I quickly covered it with a black nitrial glove just to make sure that that UV resin was going to still remain wet in the cup. And worked a dream. Worked an absolute dream. I've actually seen Wendy from Tombish Crafts use the black fingers on a glove. She'll cut that and she'll cover a little clear squeezy bottle in those as well, just to make them UV resistant, which is super cool. Um, I had fun with this one. I can't explain the levels of escapism that I got from doing this. And in all honesty, I'm not really a jewelry girl.
I don't often make jewelry on my channel. And when I do, it's usually a like a an open bezel or, you know, the moon bezels. I like that kind of thing.
I am not really a make your own jewelry and construct it kind of girl. Um, so when you look at the front of the box, you've got some stunning, stunning almost cascading floral creations with these earrings because there's no rules with these. You can add what you want, take away what you want. Some of the pieces have got two loops so you can link them together to double chain them down. Um, but also on the front of the box, you've got the key ring, right? And guys, you know, I love me a key ring.
So, that is the direction that I ended up going with with these is to make a key ring, but not just any keyring, like super chunky, dangly key rings, which would of course naturally double up as bag charms. So, in this section here, you see me using the green resin dye. I think I put a bit too much in. It wasn't detrimental. It really wasn't. They came out absolutely stunning. I don't think you need to put in as much as I did cuz they're quite pigmented. And mixing that into a cup with the standard UV resin that comes in your kit will give you this absolutely beautiful green. You could, of course, use the yellow and make a different green. really really mix it up with your colors. You don't have to make green leaves. There's no rules. There's no law to say you have to make green leaves. These could be like a wild, crazy, chaotic, neon constructed.
It doesn't matter what colors you use.
You can use any colors. And that's the beauty of this kit because once you've used your UV colors up, eventually you've still got the molds, right? So the these molds will see you through for the next few years and you can pretty much just carry on creating. Now next layer is going in like you know I did a thin layer and we are going with another thin layer. I'm not filling them up at this point. I still want to make sure that they are absolutely fully cured both sides. So again pink and purple.
And then I've also gone in with the blue at the bottom. Now, I think that blue at the bottle the bottle the blue at the bottom is very um bluebelly. Let me know. I believe they are blue bells.
Honestly, I didn't read the instructions and don't be like me. You should always read the instructions, but it might say in there what each flower is. I think we've got we've got daffodils right top left. They look like daffodils or tulips. And then under those they are definitely tulips. Under those are tulip bulbs but without the embossing. And then we've got even more flowers with embossing. So that the choice is immense. And here are the leaves. I just kept going because I thought for me this kit, like if I were to do this again, right, if I were to do this again, I would fill up each and every cavity. But my brain at the time was saying, right, I'm going to need two of those, two of those, two of those, two of those. Make them individually and get them cured.
But actually, I ended up just in a zone of just putting everything together and mixing everything together anyway. So, if I were to do this again and if I were you, I would absolutely fill fill it right to the top. One mold and then fill the next mold to the top and then just play around and see what you need.
However, if you're thinking, "Oh my goodness, I've got my friend's birthday at the weekend. Let me go quickly make her a pair of earrings. You could get that done in half an hour. Then you know exactly what you want, right? She would like this flower with this leaf and this stem and they you'd only need to fill out the three pieces. But honestly, guys, I can't explain it. At first, I was like, I don't really like jewelry.
However, Let's Resin have made it easy because you've got so much selection in both of the molds and you've got this super cute charm set. Now, the other thing to mention is that of course in between pouring each layer, I was putting this into the UV lamp for 5 minutes at a time. You don't need to do that really. It doesn't need 5 minutes, but because I was working on another piece, right? So, as this one went in under the UV lamp, I could work on the other piece, thus giving me 5 minutes to do so. And the small lamp also has three settings. So 1, three, and five. So again, that small lamp can be used for 5 minutes as well. And yeah, it's just really handy if you're working on both pieces to crack on with one while the other is under the UV lamp. Um, I didn't film each and every time I put the mold under the UV lamp. That would have added way too much extra footage. But just understand that if you are brand new to resin, if you are a complete beginner and you're brand new to UV resin, then you absolutely do need to put each and every one of these pieces under the UV lamp until they are cured and you add your second layer. With UV resin mixing in these cups, now it really is important. I'm sorry about the angle of this video. You can just about see the bottom of that mold. Sorry about that.
It really is important that you absolutely cover this cup up with your hand, your gloved hand. I've got the UV resin light on my left, you know, curing the other tray. And I've got the sun coming in the window. Now, I do have the blind down slightly. That doesn't stop the UV rays. Could I film at night? So many of you asked me that. Absolutely, I could. Yes, you can film at night. And I think if you're not filming for YouTube and you're making a gift, then once the sun goes down, the perfect time to use UV resin, honestly. But for me, I don't have good lighting. Trust me, I've spent hundreds of pounds on lights over the years to be able to film at night.
Nothing's good enough for me. I I like natural daylight when I'm filming. Thus, I run the risk of having the UV rays cure my UV resin. As it stood, I guess UV wasn't strong this day because I did not have an issue at all as long as I kept the cup covered in my gloved hand.
And yeah, here we are. We are demolding everything as they cure. I love these.
Genuinely, like I said earlier in the video, oh my gosh, how cute. I'm not I'm not an earring girl. I'm really not. I have my ears pierced. And even making earrings for others, it's not my cup of tea. I don't enjoy it. But yes, key rings, please. Yes, please to key rings.
I absolutely I would definitely say I'm bordering on key ring obsession right now. Honestly, um, now this one here, this was, I believe, the yellow liquid. I put so much in it, it became quite intense. It was a very, very intense color and went orange. So, you can really play around with these colors because they're so so, so pigmented. I only needed one or two drops to create a yellow flower. I squeezed the bottle. So, don't be like me. Go easy. Go one drop at a time and you will get your desired color. Now, these leaves are adorable. Look at these. You've got some embossed leaves and some leaves that are not embossed.
Now, genuinely, I really could have just stopped there, but I was in a zone and I was trying to I was thinking, Clay, you filmed enough. You've got enough. Like, stop. But then I was like, well, no, but what if I haven't? Like, what if I haven't got enough? What if I want more?
Um, and hindsight is a wonderful thing because I ended up going down the key ring route. And for me, I should have really focused more on the flower section more than the leaf section, but equally, I was just in a zone. Does anyone else feel like that? Like some days you're just in a zone? And this is the day I forgot I was filming.
Honestly, I genuinely forgot I had a camera above my head. I was just enjoying it that much. And the beauty of UV resin is the speed at which you can create. And you saw me use a giant torch there. It's off. So, with my giant blow torch, when I put it down to the lowest lowest lowest setting, there's no flame.
It's just a spark, right? So, it does the job of of little things, but because my lighter stopped working and yeah, so there's that. I need to invest in some more tall clicky lighters.
Here we are demolding all of the flowers. All of which came out simply beautiful. And then it was just time. It was just time to construct. Honestly, I had too much fun. This is the charm kit.
Now, the charm kit is really, really charming. You will need some of your jewelry making supplies. So, your pliers just to be able to open the jump rings.
The the jump rings are actually really really strong jump rings. Sometimes when I just buy a pack of jump rings off Amazon, they're super flimsy and you can literally open them with your bare hands. You can't do that with these. So, you will need pliers. They are really, really strong. I did decide, like I said halfway through the video to go down the key ring attachment route or the bag charms. These would work either way. Um, again, the beauty of this kit is it's up to you. There's no rules. There's no rules. I did keep referring back to the box. I love that the box has got a whole ton of photos on it for inspirational, you know, where could I go with this?
What can I do with this bit? what is this bit, you know, is this a flower? Is this a leaf? Um, and looking back at the box, you can just see and be like, ah, okay, we can put it here. So, what I ended up doing, I ended up using the flowers as the main keyring component.
And then working up the chain, I was adding in the gold hearts, the gold charms, the gold leaf charms, the pearls. The pearls are so cute. They're such a cute addition. Now, the other thing to mention is they're heavy. Okay?
You get metal hearts and metal shapes with this kit. They are heavy metal.
They're not your thin bendable. They're not bendable. They're super durable and super heavy pieces. So, please, let's resin. Can I just have that? Can I just have a bag of those on their own, please? These sunflowers, these big daisies, these big flowers, I love them all. I love the hearts. I love the the die-cut leaves are stunning. So, if you are ever thinking of creating a big mix bag of charms, let me know in the comments if you'd like that and like let's see if Let's Resin can do that for us at some point in the future. Because honestly, the bag was whimsical. As soon as I opened the bag, I was like, "Oh, got so many goodies in here." Um, yeah.
And you could create a charm making kit, you know, similar to this, really. In fact, just like this, but with a big bag of charms. Does anyone else feel me? I know I'm going off on one, but this was fun. Constructing and building as I go and adding this little leaf in. And does it work? There were times, don't get me wrong, where I put something in and thought, "No, not there. It doesn't belong there. I need that further up or higher down." And yes, please forgive my nails, guys. I did get them done. But we're, you know, gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. The leaves, I think, were my favorite thing. I'm such a a botanical girl. I love anything leafy. So, yeah, the metal hearts, the metal shapes, all of it just worked so so beautifully. The key rings themselves are chunky as well, really robust, and they come with the chain element. You also get a bag of chain, so you could just make it longer.
You know, you can remove loops, make it shorter. But the fact that that chain is already there, it just enabled me to use the jump rings and just add in all of the elements that I'd already made all the way up the chain. But I do feel like this video has been long enough. So, we are going to fast forward to my end results.
And here they are. I absolutely love them. They scream spring summer. They scream gifts. They scream bag charms.
And honestly, if you've got really strong, robust ears, you could take the key ring off and put an ear ear an earring attachment at the top and have the most beautiful whimsical earrings ever. Um, again, I did make key rings because I love a key ring. I am a key ring girly. I've still got so many bits left over. And this is what I was talking about earlier in the video. I didn't really use many of those leaves because I went down the key ring route, but look at these photos. If you wanted to go down the earring route, you've got the clip attachments, you've got the earring loop attachment, you've also got stud ring attachments. You've got so much going on with this kit. The choices are truly endless. And also those flowers, they come with one hole drilled in. But if you've got an if you've got a jewelry drill, teeny tiny jewelry drill with a teeny tiny drill bit, you could drill the other side and make an entire necklace from those flowers. I absolutely loved this kit. Honestly, I had so much fun. I got completely lost.
If you are of course interested in this just launched, brand new, fresh off the press jewelry kit from Let's Resin, I will link it below with all of the details. And yeah, thank you so so much to Let's Resin for sending this over.
This video was of course sponsored by Let's Resin. Everything I used in this video was Let's Resin and everything will be linked below as well for your Let's Resin codes. If you want the UV light, if you want anything else from Let's Resin, it's all going to be there.
So, yeah. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. It's a bit longer this video cuz I kind of got a little bit lost and in a zone. It was too much fun.
I will see you all in the next video, which will be my final final 70s video.
And um yeah, I will see you all then.
Bye.
