Spider-Man Brand New Day Impacts Daredevil Season 3

[00:00:00]There will be a direct connection between the events of Spider-Man Brand New Day and the events of Daredevil season 3. And apparently, the ending of Brand New Day will lead into what is going on in New York for season 3.

[00:00:15]>> [music] >> Spider-Man 4 is set after the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Now, if reports are to be believed, it is also set closer to the official release and the timeline in which Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will take place. So again, we're going to have to wait and see the film for ourself, but recent reports have hit that there's going to be some interesting stuff in Spider-Man that directly influences and affects Daredevil: Born Again season 3, which will be the final season in the MCU as we know it before the effects of Secret Wars kick in. Now again, we know very little about anything happening in Born Again season 3 outside of the obvious fact that Matt Murdock is locked up in jail, and potentially Spider-Man might break him out for help against the Hand in Brand New Day. But outside of that, we really don't have much else. So what exactly could they do in Spider-Man: Brand New Day that sets the stage for Daredevil: Born Again season 3? Well, if we look at the facts, we know, courtesy of the people working on Brand New Day and the people working on Daredevil: Born Again, that both teams have been in communication with one another and Marvel Studios in the middle making sure that things line up, that nothing is contradicting the other. We can obviously see that with the fact that Wilson Fisk is not, I repeat, not mayor after season 2. But who's to say Spider-Man doesn't end with Spider-Man and Frank saying that they're going to go after the likes of Wilson Fisk, but Frank is like, "Hey, you keep doing what you're doing. I'm going to go make sure that Daredevil is good to go because I know what he's accused of. We can, you know, help him overcome that." Hence the Defenders coming in season 3, they take up the mantle of Daredevil in protecting the city. He gets out scot-free. Secret Wars happens. It's a universal reset.

[00:02:30]Suddenly, they're fine. And then, we're off to the new world after Secret Wars.

[00:02:37]Couple things have changed, and now in Spider-Man 5, after a new season of Daredevil as well establishes what he's doing, he can transition over into Spidey 5 and they take on Wilson Fisk.

[00:02:50]It just sort of makes sense that Spider-Man would set a soft sort of reboot direction for Daredevil that they explore and then fully embrace after Secret Wars.
