When comparing smart locks, premium models like the Dreame A10 typically offer superior build quality (BHMA grade 2 rating, IP65 weather resistance), rechargeable battery technology, and advanced features such as door sensors with auto-lock/unlock functionality and geofencing, while budget alternatives like the Safio Turbo Lite provide essential smart lock capabilities including Apple HomeKit integration, fingerprint access, and emergency power options at a lower price point.

Dreame A10 vs Safio Turbo Lite — Which Smart Lock Should You Actually Buy?Hinzugefügt:
Today, we're having a look at two awesome new smart locks from Dreametech.
We have the Neovo A10 and the Turbo Lock. Which one's the better smart lock for you? Well, let's find out in this video. So, we're going to start off with a quick unboxing on both of the products. I'll leave YouTube timestamps that you can click around through the video if you don't want to watch the unboxing, but we're going to start off with the Turbo Lock. [music] This thing is a glossy finish. It's overall built very well. It also has a weatherproof rating of IP54, so it's basic splash resistance. It's powered by eight AA batteries, which come included, which will give you about 12 months of constant usage.
Here's both the indoor and outdoor part of the lock. Also, two NFC cards, two keys, and all the mounting hardware come included. Now, we're going to have a look at the Neovo A10. This is going to be a more premium smart door lock. Have a listen to how impressed I was with the build quality of the Neovo A10. Woah.
This one's really heavy. Now, the build quality of the Neovo A10 is significantly better than the Turbo Lock. It also has a BHMA grade two rating, IP65 weather resistance rating as well. And I'm liking the matte finish and overall appearance of the Neovo A10 a lot more.
Now, the internal part of the lock does have an aluminum deadbolt handle, so definitely better than what we see on the Turbo Lock. [music] When it comes down to battery, the Neovo A10 does use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which will give you about eight months of run time with constant usage.
Definitely better than constantly replacing AA batteries. Obviously, all of the hardware along with two NFC cards, two keys are included. Now, the installation of both locks is very similar. We're going to quickly skim through this installation, but essentially, all door locks are mounted almost identically the same. This is the Turbo Lock that we're installing right now. And as you can see, eight AA batteries, overall very fluid motion when I'm using the deadbolt. And you can see that this is working with my Apple HomeKit setup. Just flip the switch on the screen and boom, it locks and unlocks. It also has a fingerprint reader at the top. And here's a quick look at the Neovo app. So, Dreametech actually has two different apps, one for the A10 and one for the Turbo Lock. With the Turbo Lock, you do have to use the Neovo app. With the Neovo A10, you use the Dreametech app. But as you can see, all of the settings are very standard, allowing you to quickly program your fingerprint on top of the door lock. You can program all of your fingerprints and NFC card. It's so quick. The actuator on the deadbolt is very quick and very smooth manual unlocking and locking with the key. And the keypad is also great.
And because the Turbo Lock supports Apple Home, you can unlock and lock it with your phone simply by tapping. If the lock ends up dying, there is emergency USB power at the bottom, so you can continue using the lock. The Neovo A10 installs identically the same as the Turbo Lock. So, we're going to very quickly skim through this installation process, but very simple.
Just put in the rechargeable battery and then connect it to the app. Now, we're using the Dreametech app, not the Neovo app, so keep that in mind. And the calibration process is a little bit longer simply because this lock actually detects when the door is open or closed.
So, you actually get that feature with this lock that you won't get on the Turbo Lock. So, keep you informed on whether or not your door is open or closed, which is a huge deal, providing you with a lot of peace of mind. Just like the Turbo Lock, we can program our fingerprint. The whole process was very simple and easy, but since this lock has a door sensor, meaning that it knows when the door is open or closed, you can actually go into the settings and go to auto lock and unlock. So, whenever you close the door, it will automatically lock. And it has geofencing enabled, so whenever you get close to the door, it takes the geofencing location of your phone and automatically unlocks the lock. I love this feature. Since I go out of the house and walk around a lot, it's very nice to be completely keyless.
And just like the Turbo Lock, along with app control to unlock and lock the lock, we have of course the fingerprint, which also works very fast. We have the key card. And underneath this hidden compartment, we have access to the manual key. And it's very smooth operation here. And there's also an emergency USB-C power port in case the battery does die. I do also want to add that the A10 is built on Matter over Thread, allowing you to use Apple Home, Google Assistant, and Alexa and other Matter certified platforms. It also features built-in Wi-Fi, meaning that it connects directly to your home network without any hub. So, which lock should you get? I think the Neovo A10 is superior in every single way. Build quality, I love the rechargeable battery, and I love the auto locking and unlocking with geofencing. If you are a homeowner and you plan to stay there for a while, that's the lock that you should be getting. If you need to buy many locks for, let's say, Airbnbs and things like that, or for places that just don't need as much security or peace of mind, then you definitely can't go wrong with the Turbo Lock. I do like the fact that it works seamlessly with Apple Home. If you're interested in either of these door locks, make sure you check out the link for them down below in the description box. Let me know what you think about them in the comment section, and I'll see you in another one.
