[00:00:00]I was doing an oil change on this truck, and then I saw this front dampener, and I thought it was moving around a little too much.

[00:00:18]This is a great video. What a lot of people don't realize is [music] that a vibration dampener is a maintenance item. Every manufacturer has specifications for vibration dampeners where you can you can either measure them, [music] or they say certain period of time, say 500,000 mi, your dampener needs to be replaced. [music] So, when you get into a situation where you're working on an engine, we often recommend a vibration dampener at the time of overhaul. There's always [music] potential for updates to vibration dampeners. I've got service parts topics from Cummins here that they've had updates to vibration dampeners. So, when you're doing your routine maintenance, [music] or you're doing your engine overhaul, that's a great time to look at your vibration dampener, and make sure that you're not going to have a broken crankshaft [music] down the road.
