In 1945, during the Battle of Königsberg, sapper Demian Platonov demonstrated a brilliant tactical innovation by using the enemy's own energy against them. When facing a reinforced concrete bunker with a machine gun nest, instead of direct assault, he connected a high-pressure hose from a diesel compressor to the bunker's drainage pipe and pumped in a fine mixture of flour and coal dust. When the enemy fired their machine gun, the spark ignited the powder mixture, causing a massive internal explosion that forced the defenders to surrender. This historical example illustrates the principle of turning an adversary's actions into their own defeat through creative problem-solving.
