The AI Lie: Why Nobody Actually Knows How It Works

[00:00:05]I'm gonna take a moment here today to rant for a little bit because I see a bunch of these people, these so-called experts on AI, uh, putting down people who are trying to learn, you know, almost calling them noobs, you know, like you're in video games, something like that.

[00:00:21]Let me tell you something. In original mechanical computing with the ones and the zeros, if you were smart enough, you could explain everything. You know, you could explain the A to Z functionality of all mechanical computing.

[00:00:38]For all of you who don't know, go talk to the leading expert AI engineer on the planet. Ask him what happens when the values get inputed into a transformer.

[00:00:50]Ask him what those values do. If he gives you an answer, it's a guess. If he tells you it's not a guess, he's lying because we have no clue. We have no idea how this technology works. We know how to put together transformers. We found a configuration that works. We have no idea what it does. We have guesses. We have educated guesses. And maybe one day we will know. But there is no person on planet Earth who knows how AI actually works. Nobody.

[00:01:20]So, look, we need to refocus this. This isn't about the experts and the noobs.

[00:01:26]This is about a bunch of people who have no idea what they're doing that have been handed a very powerful tool and have a chance to advance as a species.

[00:01:37]You know, I saw Sabrina Romanov, who she doesn't need a shout out for me. She's one of the best in the business, but she was talking about Reese Witherspoon's tweet that went viral about women getting more involved. And you know, this is a great chance for our species to evolve, to really take a leap forward, to all realize we are on the same level playing field that and we can really take this opportunity to grow and and really change the world. These tools are so powerful, you know, we all can learn them together, but there's no such thing as a noob and there's no such thing as an expert. There are people that are better versed and that I have more knowledge on the subject, but it is nowhere near, oh, I know this and you don't because nobody knows it. So, let's pump the brakes on that.
