A simple, budget-friendly skincare routine for clear skin involves proper makeup removal using oil-based cleanser followed by face wash, using hypochlorous acid spray for environmental protection, applying treatment products like benzoyl peroxide during active breakouts, exfoliating 2-3 times weekly, and always applying moisturizer and sunscreen; consistency with affordable products is more important than expensive treatments, and lifestyle factors like stress management, diet, and avoiding pet contact also significantly impact skin health.

my simple skincare routine to clear acne and hyperpigmentationAdded:
Hello. So, today I'm doing a skincare video because I feel like a lot of people struggle with their skin, me included. If you don't believe me, this is what I look like, all throughout my years before I figured out the right skincare that works for me. And it took a lot of trial and error. And I want to make sure that you guys don't have to go through all of these years of trial and error to find the products that are right for you. So, I wanted to make a simple, budget friendly skincare routine that I feel like everybody can follow.
You don't need a bunch of money for this. You don't need a dermatologist for this. You just need consistency. That's all you need. Also, I just wanted to put a disclaimer. I have dry skin with oily skin right around here. But then my overall skin is dry. So, just keep that in mind. So, all the products that I'm going to be using are products that were very beneficial for me. So, just putting it out there. So, right now, I don't have any makeup on, but I did want to kind of bring this up for when you guys have your makeup on and you guys want to take it off. The right way to take it off. When I don't take my makeup off the right way, it low-key does clog my pores and then I look like I have way too many blackheads. I don't want that for you guys, so I'm going to share it. Whenever you're wearing makeup and you want to take it off, do it in two ways, okay?
There's two things you're going to use to take that makeup off fully from your skin. To begin, you're going to start off withy's um well, you don't have to use pharmacy.
This is what I use. The pharmacy cleansing balm. This is like a oilbased cleanser. If you use this on your skin, it's going to take off all of the eye makeup, all of the makeup you have. This is like the first step. And then here are a couple of face washes I have used.
So, I will just explain the face wash that I use right now at this current moment, but I will also kind of do like a walk through of all the things that I've done. So, right now, I use the glow recipe. Right now, I use the glow bar and I just use the avocado cleanser right after the pharmacy. So, like I kind of just I just use these as like a duo every single time I'm taking my makeup off right now. So, that way my makeup is fully off my face and my skin does not get irritated. But when I did have active breakouts, when I did look like this, I used my favorite. I know I I have heard a lot of people say that they did not like Panoxil, but 6 years ago, I saw a video of Madison Beer being like, "Oh my god, like Panoxil like literally changed my life." And I was like, "You know what? It's $10. It's at Walmart. Might as well try it. Changed my life. This literally when I had active breakouts, I would use this every time. I'm not going to use it right now though because I have no active breakouts because it's going to dry my skin too much and you do not want irritate your skin barrier too much. So, right now that I don't have any active breakouts. I will not be using this, but this is what I use for when I had extremely active breakouts. I was using Penoxil. And I also use the Lar Ro uh this one for when I want to look a little bit brighter and lighter. And by lighter, do not do not I do not want to hear no colorist comments, okay? I meant lighter, aka just look more bright in the face and not dull. Okay, relax. I think this would be like less than a dollar per use because it's been lasting me from 2023 to now. And once I find my products, I do not switch up on them.
When you switch up on your products, that's pretty scary. I do not want to do that. So, I'm going to take you guys with me to the bathroom so I can kind of show you like how I wash my face, what are the vibes like, you know, do a little walk through.
I am back after washing my face and yeah, looking amazing, looking great.
Now, the next step I do is my Tower 28 spray. I recently added this to my skincare regimen because I was getting a lot of bumps on my face from all these like dust. I'm very allergic to dust.
So, whenever there's like dust around me, I get red flare-ups on my skin. I feel like I need to really deep clean my room. So, getting it done today. And you don't have to use like a Tower 28 spray to be honest. You can use any spray that's uh it has something in it that's like really good for you. I forget what it is. Um oh wait, it say okay hypocchlorous acid spray. So yeah, a lot of people use it wrong, so it doesn't help them. I found out the right way to use it and the right way to use it is just to spray this after washing your face. You cleanse your face and then you spray it like you just like spray it on your skin and you don't go in with any products just yet. You let the spray like kind of soak into your skin and just like dry onto your skin first. Let that let that kind of just dry. This is literally what I do to get my get my face to dry faster. I also love using it right after the gym or like if I had like a if I'm in a place where I know there's going to be a lot of bacteria like the airport or any sort of place where I can like feel like yeah, my skin she's she's cooked. You can usually use this with like any products cuz it's very very gentle on your skin. If you do have active breakouts at night, what you're going to do is you're going to take a moisturizer. I'm just This is the one that I use. You don't have to use this one. You can use any moisturizer you want. I go in with a moisturizer and then I don't have it with me right now because it's been a while since I've used it, but it did help with my active breakouts, which is this product. You can find this at Walmart for like 15 bucks, on Amazon for like 15 bucks. It is so good. When I was younger, I did not know that this product would work.
But one day, my dad was like, "Oh, just take it. Just use it, I guess." I was like, "Fine, sure. I'll try it." Thank you. Thank you, papa. Thank you so much.
I used that every single day. Every single day. If you have active breakouts, use the different gel. I used it every single day at night. But to do it the right way, what you do is you're going to moisturize your skin after all the things that I've just done. washed my face, put the Tower 28. I just like to put it, you don't I don't think you have to, but I just like to do that just in case any flare-ups happen because of dust. My environment is quite dusty sometimes. Um, and then just moisturize your face or have moisture in your face and then you use the different gel and then you put moisturizer on top of it and that's it. Literally just need this and this and a good moisturizer and sunscreen. Okay, we are not going to forget that moisturizer and sunscreen is so freaking important because your hyperpigmentation is honestly going to get worse if you are not wearing sunscreen than if you are. But since right now I don't have any active breakouts, what I do is after I'm done with my spray, I usually go in with my exfoliant. And no, you do not use exfoliation everyday. No, no, no, no.
It's very simple. I mine is also by the brand pharmacy. Very gentle on the skin.
It's a dark spot toner. So that way like I as you can still see I still have a lot of like hyperpigmentation from my uh leftover journey. Your skin is never going to be perfect forever. You're going to have flare-ups. You're going to have certain days that your skin looks better than the others. It is completely normal. So don't feel disheartened if your skin is like Wait, I think I I think I lost track. I do have something to say about the different gel. When I first started using the different gel, I did want to put a disclaimer. I did purge on different for 2 to 3 months.
Since it's a new product that was introduced to my skin, my skin actually got worse for the next like 2 months, but I was so like desperate to have good skin that I just continued with it. And oh my gosh, after the purge, the clear skin that came after that, I will put some pictures. I will I will show you guys proof, okay? I don't care. a lot of the skincare products when they see their skin getting worse. But I don't know, most times, but at least for this product, it was just like a purging period and then it just like drastically went away. So, just wanted to put that out there. When I had active breakouts, that's it. That's all I would do. And in the morning, I would wash my face with Poxil in the morning and I would use moisturizer and sunscreen. After my all of that, I usually now in my skincare routine, what I do is I go in with myarmacy's toner and this is the brighten up 3% TXA. It also helps like remove your dark spots. Usually I do go in with this in the night. Started off using this like once a week, but then I slowly like in the next two weeks I amped it up to two times a week and now I use this three times a week. So I just recently started using it three times a week and I have not been super consistent with it. So yeah, but usually what I I try my best to still stick to two times a week right now. Anything more than that, it can get a little too much. So don't do that. Also, my nails are stained with haldi because I was making freaking tandoori chicken. So now my hands just have like a lot of haldi in it. So just literally ignore that.
Sorry. Okay, I'm just Indian at the end of the day. Oh my gosh. Literally looks gross. I promise you it's not that I'm gross. I was just cooking chicken. So So just do this and then you're just going to put this like all over your face. And I kind of just tap it in there. This is going to make sure your dead skin is not getting piled up on your face. Your products that you are using for skin care purposes, they're not going to be very very effective because you have a bunch of dead skin that's on your face.
So, your products are not going to penetrate penetr Okay. They're not going to go into your skin and they're not going to work. To top it all off, I'm just going to use my moisturizer. And I love using this for my makeup videos as well. But I also use this for non-makeup like normal moisturizer. This is the Cetaphil moisturizer. I'm just going to like put that all over my face if it works. I'm like kind of running out of it.
Just going to moisturize my face. I also love putting it on my eye because you do not want to forget your eye because your eye is also part of your skincare routine. Okay, now that I'm done, I don't have my I don't have my brush on me right now, but I'm just going to quickly just brush my hair. I think I definitely need a little bit of uh lip oil. Hold on. For the days that I'm usually not wearing makeup or anything, I love going in with my E.L.F. Rose Envy lip oil. It's so freaking cute. I love love love it. Literally makes me look like I have like lip injections and I don't. And before I move into like some of the lifestyle stuff and some of the other things that also contribute to acne, I'm going to talk about my morning skincare routine because I have a little bit of a different morning skincare routine, but I feel like it's also very important to keep in mind that as much as the nighttime skincare routine matters, your daytime skincare routine also matters. So, I'm going to quickly just talk about it and tell you guys what I do in the morning when you wake up and you use all the face washes that I have kind of recommended based on what's going on with your skin. After that, I love going in with my vitamin C like serum. I just have started using this one, but I'll put the picture of what I actually have been using for a while. And vitamin C basically what it does, it helps you with your hyperpigmentation, fades the dark spots.
But little bit of a thing is that if you're not wearing sunscreen with your vitamin C, it will just not work. So after you're done with your vitamin C serum on your face, like right wherever you need to put it, you go in with a sunscreen. As a brown girl, I have struggled with finding sunscreen that doesn't make me look white. I look like a ghost every single time I'm trying out a new sunscreen. It really pisses me off. So I found Super Goop. How do I even show this? It's like so freaking good. Okay, I right now I'm using the tinted sunscreen which is SPF 40. They have another sunscreen which is like clear sunscreen. Honey, honey, you will not be a you will not have that white cast on your face. Okay, super goop sunscreens like they are actually so good. You will not be able to tell. I have been trying to find a lot of other sunscreens that like work that are at a cheaper price point. I personally haven't found any. But if you guys have, please let me know in the comments because I have not been able to find any. So yeah, this is the one that has worked for me through and through a lot of times. I love it. Now, we're going to move on to quick lifestyle tips that also made a really huge difference in the way my skin looks. Number one, don't stress yourself out. Do things that will help you de-stress. I listen to music a lot to de-stress. I don't listen to um any like sad music like almost ever. The split would probably be like a 95 happy music and then 5% sad if I really really want to. But I've also noticed listening to happy music, it helps your mental health a lot. So therefore, you're not going to just indulge in your sadness.
So yeah, I just wanted to put that out there. So you know, all my little girlies that love listening to sad music, don't. Another thing is your eating habits. I'm personally not very sensitive to food for when it comes to acne, but I have seen my friends that will literally eat one day of a Domino's pizza or whatever and the next day their skin is like flaring up with a bunch of pimples. And I'm just like, what the heck? Like you guys are so like allergic to greasy food. Not like allergic, but you know what I mean? Like if you eat greasy foods, eventually they're going to start showing up on your face like that. It's going to make your skin oily.
It's going to make your skin really just feel gross. At the end of the day, sometimes it's not the products that you're using, but it's honestly internal. It's sometimes the hormones, the lifestyle that can be causing a lot of acne on your face, and you do not want that. So, be careful if you have like furry pets, animals, or whatever in your house. Try not to let them touch your face because they they love exploring and they will go everywhere, okay? They will go in all the nooks and crannies that you probably haven't cleaned in your house for a really long time. They're going to go in there and they're going to go digging, okay?
They're going to find new treasures and also new bacterias. So, if you let that touch your face, none of these products are going to help you, babes. You're you're cooked. Yeah. But yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Let me know what videos I should make next, okay? I would love to take all of your guys' ideas and implement them into my upcoming videos, okay? I love when you guys tell me what to post, please. Thank you. Follow me on Instagram. I did start posting more on Instagram, aka like, well, I'm planning on. But this is my Tik Tok. And yeah, I'll see you guys next week. Bye.
