Successful gardening requires understanding plant varieties, their specific growing requirements, and how climate conditions affect plant health; gardeners should select plants suited to their local environment, consider factors like temperature, rainfall, and soil conditions, and be prepared to adapt their growing strategies based on seasonal changes and regional variations.

Grandma, in a minute I'm about to go in some of that good soap.
I brought my picture rod and you know my is a my stuff's in a uh but I didn't go I stayed house I didn't go out this time.
Normally I go over to the pier and fish, but you got to go through too much to fish down here in Florida, man. They want you to jump a hoop um do the butterfly.
You say I'm breaking up.
Am I breaking up?
I might have done that when I plugged this.
>> Uh, not now. I think it did that BJI when I plugged this stupid uh this other phone up.
I'm guessing cuz I got all bars. I'm So everybody said I'm good now. Oh, okay.
Oh, y'all know what that might have been?
My father pulled up bumper that live music that that you might have heard that and thought it was me fishing in a few weeks. Oh, okay.
Talking about and wheel of fortune money for the out of state fish. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. So, they just changed the law back, I think yesterday, where you can get your uh out of residence uh license online. They had changed the law this year where you had to go to find a facility to get a a temporary license, you know, like a three-day pass or 7-day pass. Like, man, I'm not going to drive all over Florida. I ain't f to be all over. No.
But then I saw on news they just changed it back because it was like they was losing a lot of business and whatnot by you know having people that's coming down here on vacation can't just go online and do it. They got to be driving all out you know out of your way and stuff to try to get a license. No stupid.
So they got that fixed.
Let me see what this cold one tastes like.
Boy, I needed that sip cuz it's humid out here. I come out here every morning. This that little that little video that I shot I shot it from sim right here with the uh doves. Got a lot of wildlife around here.
Lot of wildlife.
Tough love. What's going on?
They can show that. I don't know why would hide that. That don't make any sense. What's going on, tough love?
I seen one of them things except spaces where I have lagoons planted.
Yeah. Yeah. the most interesting man in the world.
Yeah, I got some.
They uh they frying fish today, so I'll I'll eat some fish and drink me a do sakis.
Yeah, we had to run to the package store and get me some dosis or some Coronas or something because my father-in-law, he drinks uh Bud Lights.
I ain't trying to fight.
the No, everybody here is in the same country.
Whoa. What's going on? Y'all can still hear me.
Can y'all still hear me?
Because my screen is not moving.
Sister Doki's coming.
Oh, you can hear me? Yeah, GT. I came down here Sunday.
I just looked on my um Bougie asked me was it raining? Well, I told I was still down here in Florida, but I looked at my rain cameras and it is raining. Um it's raining at my house, which is good.
It's raining real good. So, my garden is getting a good pouring. It's getting a good downpour.
So, I know broke getting it getting that good water.
Mike, you hear me? Okay, >> Mike. Not only do my father them have squirrels, but he don't have a garden or anything like that. So, he don't have any problem with that.
But, uh, they got rabbits. They have an issue with rabbits be eating people's garden.
I mean, eating people's flowers and stuff.
Broke said, "Yeah, we're getting a rain." Yeah. I looked on my rain camera.
I was like, "Okay, cool. We need some rain."
When I talked to my neighbor, he called me the other day. He thought I was home.
He wanted to go look at the garden and um what's going on? See you sunshine.
I thought you going to be at the crab throwback or whatever they call crawfish uh thing.
Thought you'd be somewhere over there with them eating crawfish. I saw a little clip or something. I think Rachel posted um it's raining because my car has just gotten washed. That's how it goes.
That's how it goes. But I I got one of them little uh subscription things where, you know, I pay a monthly I pay a monthly fee and um I go to car wash as much as I want. I be wearing it out. My rabbit only eat clovers and dandelions out my grass. Okay, cool.
She said, "Hell no, I don't eat mud bugs and I don't purposely go to a mosquito house."
Yeah, man.
They down there enjoying it. And that's a good thing.
I saw some rabbits in my yard and I seen a bunch of them one day, like three or four of them.
So, uh, y'all know what's going to happen this, uh, this winter. Yeah, they going to the upper room. We gonna have we gonna have us some rabbit. I might even video if I see them out there. And I got my pellet pew.
Rain been um, bluffing us for over a week now. I just went ahead and broke down on water. But yeah, washing my car or my hair usually brings the rain.
Ain't that something crazy?
problem was that they they tried using my bed to sleep in.
So I can't Yeah.
And that's what my father said. He's he's like one of his uh co-workers got a bunch of these little uh traps and he going to trap him and take him to work and the guy got a lot of property and he's going to let the rabbits go on his property.
So he's safe. He might be putting them in the pot because that's what I'll be doing.
If I get if I see something this winter, that's where they going. I like fried rabbit. Delicious with gravy.
How you going to beat that?
Yeah, the bunny. Yeah, the hell with the bunny. Yeah.
Yeah, the bunny. We gonna send them to the upper room. I catch them. I'mma wait till this winter when it's hunting season. You know what I'm saying? When it's hunting season, I catch them by the yard. I'mma send them to the upper room.
Yeah.
Yeah. They go in the freezer camp.
Yeah. I'mma send them on.
Straight to freezer camp.
I know this rain is messing up a lot of graduations in Georgia because a lot of people are graduating today. I know my nephew's graduating today, although he's been enrolled in college since since January.
Um, he hadn't graduated from high school yet, so he's graduating today.
What's going on, RX Nails? I know you in Louisiana.
Y'all shout out our sister RX Nails. She be doing a thing over there getting y'all cubicles together or whatever they call. What's going on, Eric? Now, cover Oreo ears. Uh, G mama. Yeah, we Yeah, Oreo go in the pot, too. Cotton tail jack rabbit. Yeah, show us how to process rabbit. Stacy, I'm a sharpshooter, but I need to tighten up my manual scalping. Ain't nothing to him.
Yeah, you get him down. Just put a little cut on his back. Pull up the skin a little bit. Little cut. Put your fingers in there and pull him out. Just like that. He'll come right out his suit. You take him right out the tux just slit in his back. Put your hands in that p like that there. You come right up out that suit. He'd be naked.
You said you got a nephew graduating today, too. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
I thought I saw somebody come in here.
Adar, how you how you pronounce that?
Aar Shukuma 8542. What's going on? I don't jack your name up, but what's going on? Rainy weather here, but we still going to party the whole week. You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, butt naked. Yeah, that's what I'mma do to him. Have him stressed out.
BD, what going on? John Ramos, what's happening? My rabbit fertilized the snow in the winter. I put it in my garden.
Oh, cool beans.
Cool beans.
I don't know how none of this stuff works.
I'mma tell you one thing they got around here though. A whole bunch of them little lizards be running around here.
They be moving too.
You little lizard fast, man.
I'm thinking I turn this camera around so y'all can see the my view.
Let me get up.
That's how pretty. My mother-in-law got a little situation. Ain't that pretty?
For y'all that don't have the sun.
I don't know if I can see it. It's y'all a little bit of the sun.
See that? I told you that was a seagull.
They want to listen.
No, GT. That's not an Airbnb. That's my mother-in-law house.
What's going on? Be unstoppable.
Yeah.
She said, "Yeah, they fat, man." Yeah, the little thing be running around here, bro.
I'm talking about Yeah, they got real pretty flower beds.
Yeah, it's sunny here. That sun is beaming. Even though they had a little bit of a overcast today, but um yeah, I'mma tell you what I do like about here. I walked all the way down the street, crossed the street, walked all the way to this uh market and bought some fruit and stuff and no dogs. I'm talking about the dog didn't run to the street, no barking, no nothing.
Mike said 690 next week. That's crazy.
Yeah, I was like cuz the whole time I was walking, please don't let no dog walk up on me. I run out here still over cloud right here right now.
More than nature just fronting.
Do I see any? Man, it's all kind of fruit and stuff out here. These people got this I'm I'm in Florida. They got everything in their yard out here.
I passed by one house. A lot of these a lot of this stuff I don't know what it is.
Uh I can't tell you what some of this stuff is. I'm going have to Google it or whatever. But I've seen all kind of fruit and stuff on people's trees.
Um but I did pass this one um big uh mango tree and it was loaded, man. But it's another one. I know I saw one passed over going back this way. That one might not be in nobody's yard. I might have to slide by there.
You had to put your hoodie back on, G mama.
And I really started to go to Home Depot and do the live from Home Depot and just show you cuz, you know, they have a lot of fruit trees that we don't be, you know, they may carry it in Savannah or further in South Georgia, but they don't carry where I'm at.
My Chinese broccoli went to the upper room cuz it got to 36 one night. Oh, wow.
said, "Am I going to bring back a fruit tree to Georgia?" Not this time.
I was just real lazy this time, man.
Normally, I would have went to some nurseries and all kind of stuff. And because it it is some trees that I want.
I had a I had a bay leaf tree that I let croak.
I had a um a tea leaf tree, you know, that you make teas out of I had bought down here that I let croak.
Yeah, it's a few things that I could have got down here, but uh I was lazy this time. I didn't really go nowhere.
You know what I'm saying? We ran to the store a few times to grab some knickknacks, but I had to move around this time. Just chill.
I just chill. But yeah, this you walk down the street, you going to see palm tree and coconut trees and a whole bunch of stuff that I don't know what they are. She said both of my tea plants have gone to the upper to the upper ghost. Yeah, I could take better care of it now.
Um, if I got one, you know what I'm saying? I got little shady spots and stuff that yeah, I could take better care of it now because I have easier access to my garden than I did in my other place.
Other place either I will have to come out my garage which is go down some steps all like that or come out the back patio and go down some steep steps.
This I got, you know, I come out the back and I'm right there. There's not whole a whole lot of steps and stuff.
Teacher certified. Wait a minute. What it say?
Teacher.
Teacher Tifflex.
What's going on? I hope I got it right.
Hope I got it right. It's healthy to be lazy now and then. Productivity is vital, but being lazy is underrated. My rest is mine. Yeah, man. I just was really chilling this week. I Every morning I come out here on the front porch. What's up, Mr. Kenna? Chill, you know, drink me a little coffee.
Watch the birds and stuff. It's It's a lot of people be walking, you know, in this neighborhood in the morning. You see people walking, whatnot, throw up their hands. I throw up my hands. What's going on?
We chilling.
Yeah, we chilling. I ain't doing too much.
I'm ready to come home though. I'm ready to see my garden.
I've been gone since Sunday. Let me see.
That's that's a lot of days. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. That's five. Then tomorrow, come back tomorrow.
That's a lot of days to be gone from the garden.
It's going to look totally different.
It's going to look totally different.
Who all in here that joined the wind down Wednesday tomato, not tomato, cucumber challenge? Who joined the WC the WDW cucumber challenge?
Anybody here join that challenge? That's going to be fun.
I want to see the cucumbers.
Mike. Okay, Mike's in it.
Who else is in it? The cucumber challenge.
Put a one in the chat if you're in the cucumber challenge. And if you got something to sip on, you know what I'm saying? Y'all know what it is. Put your pinky finger out. Cheers.
Oh, I got to turn the camera back to me.
I'm in. And my cubes just broke the sword. There you go, G mama.
I still got the thing turned the wrong way.
Baile. Bougie in. Boo. How you in?
We one of the judges.
I know. Broke got him a cold one over his hand. It's Friday. That man don't worked a good hard work week.
This Friday, you supposed to have one of your hand or some cold water or something.
She What's up, Shaunie? What's the business?
>> Yeah, I got a lot of stuff going on next week.
I got to get home. When? Get home, check on my garden.
Uh, my grandbaby birthday next Tuesday.
she's having at the whatever the juicy crab something crab.
Then Thursday my nephew's birthday party and ain't none of this stuff close to me.
So, we'll see what's going on, Miss Lynette.
What's happening?
So, we had quite a few few people that put up some ones. Put up some ones if you are in the What's up, Urban Container God? What's going on? If you're in the uh tomato challenge uh that Precious and um Pescatarian put out, if you in that challenge as well, I think both of them are excellent.
And guess what?
If you're in the tomato challenge and if you're in the cucumber challenge, you can make you a salad. You can make you a cucumber tomato salad.
I need some mint for my car. Oh, okay.
You put a little mint in your Okay, she doing a tomato. I'm doing a tomato challenge.
For my large tomato, I'm going to try the uh the German Johnson's for my large tomato.
My paste tomatoes, San Marzos, San Marzos for the paste.
Uh German Giant, the German Johnson for the large.
Where's the info for the tomato challenge? Go to Precious or Pescatarian channel.
They have it.
That's going to be fun.
All you doing, all we doing is, you know, just keep encouraging people to uh states, "I had tomatoes returned from last year." Yeah, they'll do that. And that's the fun part when you got them returners.
Yeah, the ones that come back. Can't beat those.
I want to see what my garden looking like when I I'll see you tomorrow when I get home.
I'mma try to beat the rain home.
Supposed to be raining. We're going to get a break in the rain and it's going to start back up and try to beat the rain home.
I definitely don't want to be driving in it.
Mike says, "Pescarian of you know the tomato challenge began May 3rd. You got until the end of May to join."
Said her Japanese long leaves got crispy during the 90 degree weather. So I got the back I got a backup from the nursery.
put in the pot. That's what's up. Yeah, it's me. Oh, somebody asked is that you Yeah, harvest a few tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapeno. See, you way ahead of me, um Urban, I got some tomatoes on my patio. Uh on my patio, uh tomatoes.
Got some little small ones like that on there.
But what I'm looking forward to is some fried green tomatoes. That's why I'm growing them Acer 51s. They get good size. I'm growing some Creole tomatoes.
They get good size. The Florida A get nice size.
And this German Johnson. I think this is my first time growing them.
Yeah. But I got one more thing I need to do for my garden. I got to do it when I get back is go over and get a load of that composted horse manure. I got to go get some compost.
So I can put around my plants. And I put around my trees. Just make a little circle around the trees with the compost and put some around my plants in my garden.
And I know I got to pick some blueberries when I get back. I know a bunch of those already if they ain't went bad.
Mike said he's doing the aces, the creo mortgage lifters. I've grown the mortgage up before. Several dwarf varieties. I'm kind of digging these dwarf varieties. This patio tomato, I think that's a a container variety.
It's a small, but it's supposed to be prolific. So, Cherokee purpose, I hadn't grown those in a long time. Roma, I've grown those.
It's looking like the rain is splitting my tomatoes. It's been raining three days straight now. Wow. Yeah, they getting too much water.
And when I looked at my rain camera, it was coming down pretty good.
Yeah.
You doing some dwarf tomatoes, teacher?
Okay.
Teacher Tiff Alex.
I think that's how I supposed to know. I need to start some more tomatoes, so I might as well join the challenge. Go throw you some seeds in there, man. It's that time of the year. You soon as I get back, I'm dropping a whole lot more beans. I don't have enough beans. Oh, yeah. I got it. Okay. Teach a tip, Alex.
I had to slow it down and break it down.
I got all the terminate tomatoes. I have Florida 91s, Asa 55s, orange dwarf tomatoes, and several other varieties. Think around 20 plants and down from 63 last year. Yeah. Yeah.
I like the determinant um tomatoes. I like the the determinants a whole lot better. I don't have to worry about all the trellising as much, trying to figure out how I'mma stake them and all like that as much.
They don't keep growing all crazy like a indeterminate tomato.
But the aces, they put out nice tomatoes, man. Florida eggs. I think LA, no, year before last was the first time I drew those or grew those Florida eggs.
They put out some nice tomatoes.
Really nice because I like I don't know if you guys ever uh grown hosenators. If you go to Hos tools, they sell a a seed called tomato called a hosenator and they also sell a red snapper. And both of those are excellent tomatoes. I got some red cherries and Romes and big reds growing up. I got some ch red cherries.
I wish I had some more black cherries.
Those are really good.
Better boys is always good. The Ruckers are good.
I've grown a lot of crazy tomatoes, but now I've narrowed it down to the things that I actually want to grow and and eat. I'll try something new. Like the patio tomato is new and the um the German Johnson is new.
You tried a You tasted a yellow sausage tomato. Delicious. Okay. I got a dwarf tomato outside looking like it's been lifting weights. They are thick like the little patio. The one. Yeah, they like short and stubby. Yeah.
Yeah, that do I do like. But Brooke said he had a yellow sausage tomato. That was delicious. That sound good.
That sound really good.
So many varieties of tomatoes out there that um you can grow just about a different variety every year. So many varieties of tomatoes and most of them are red. What's up LG G? What's going on? New York in the house. New York's in the house. What's going on LG?
What's happening?
For those that are in the uh cucumber uh challenge, what is the variety of the long to uh cucumber that you're growing?
I know there's a lot of varieties that make a real long cucumber. The longest ones I've ever grown were Armenian cucumbers, but I saw that Veggie Farming Stacy, she was growing Indian something type of cucumber that was it was long, too. They're very long.
And she said they taste good. So, I know the Armenians taste good.
I know they taste good.
But Japanese long.
Okay.
But one thing I found out about the Armanian uh for me they don't pickle well like if you making pickles like you you know you water bathing them and all like that cuz I I did some and I didn't like them. I didn't like them pickled.
China Jade, Armenian.
Shout to them, Paul.
Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Stacy had a real long She had some pictures of some real long cucumbers. She grew had me jealous. Yeah. Like, wow. Yeah.
She grew some. But I've grown some long um Armenian. The only thing about Armenians though, uh, they will curl on you. So all of them ain't going to grow strong. I mean, strong. All of them may not grow straight.
You know, they will they will a little curve in that thing. You know what I mean?
Some of them will curl and turn and whatnot.
Um, my pickling cucumber ain't did nothing so far.
Yeah, I like the Boston pickling for my cucumbers. Like my pickling cucumbers.
I've tried the Wisconsin. They're fine, but I like the Boston pickling. They do really well for me far as pickling.
Yeah, they do really, really well for me.
In fact, while I'm sitting here thinking about it, I probably need to drop some more uh cucumber seeds in between the plants that I already got. I already got a few, but I might need to drop a few more seeds in between what I already got.
Plus, um that daon radish, I still got to put that in the ground.
You just got to remember to do it. Put that daon in the ground. Maybe grow.
Maybe five or six of those. Maybe a few more because if I can remember right, the daon seed sort of looks like a beet seed.
Yeah, I think it looks like a sort of like a beet seeds. I got to plant some more beans.
I don't have enough of them and do some um sustainer planting some more cubes.
What you say? I've been dropping more pickling and cucumber seeds this week.
Yeah, I might drop some more because um a lot of the stuff that I got growing up on my trellis, some of them seeds, I don't know what they are because I was just dropping stuff into my hydroponics and then I was dropping seeds into cups, you know, in my little six six pod um cups. And when I put them in the ground, the cucumbers and stuff, I didn't look to see what was who and who was next to what. I just put them in the ground next to each other. I don't know what's who.
I don't know if I got enough pickling or not. So, I might just make sure and just drop some more pickling to be on the safe side.
I'm excited about my watermelon and my cantaloupe popped up. Okay, that's good.
I had some watermelon seeds popping up from that I had in little cups and stuff before I left. So, they should be hopefully the rest of them don't jumped out. They should be good and ready.
dropping some pole beans. Okay, as soon as I pick my potatoes, um, which I can't wait. I'm so excited about the potatoes. Who was harvesting potatoes? I think Miss Linda harvest some potatoes and I saw Cece harvest some potatoes. I can't wait to harvest my potatoes, man. I'm like a kid on Christmas when it come to potatoes.
I have my cucumber seeds and snail rolls.
I uh snar I don't want until it warms up.
It's 46 a day in the night. Don't hit 50 until June. Good lord, GT.
Your sugarcase cantaloupe just popped up. Oh man, that's going to be good. Now I'm growing a whole bunch of y'all know I always grow those smaller melons and cantaloupe type fruits every year and I got them I don't know what's what and who's who.
But yeah, I got some of them moving. Now I do know I have a bush variety of the sugar baby. So I got a variety of sugar baby that's a bush variety. So it doesn't bind as long as the regular sugar babies do. The vines is not the longest.
It's really good for container growing at bushfire.
Got to train my Georgia rattlesnake watermelon plant to grow on an A-frame.
Oh, okay. Now I got one, two, I got four rattlesnakes out there.
But my Carolina cross, uh, they ain't doing nothing. I might need to check them seeds. Them seeds might not be viable because I'm just going to stick them plants on the side of the hill and let them do what they do. A bunch of them watermelons I'm growing. I'm just going to stick them in on the side of the hill right over there in my um that mulch where I got all that stuff mulched up.
Just going to dig a hole, stick them in the mulch, and let them do what they do.
I I pour some water at them like that. I didn't drop some bush beans when it start raining. I'm dropping some some hot pepper carrots. Yeah, I got carrots now. The coin. I think I'm going to go ahead and drop that corn coin after I seen Miss Linda coin.
I got to go get me some Katrina bricks.
What's your temperature, Boo? Yeah, bougie temperature is going to be very similar to mine.
I have about three sugar babies and two crimsons. Okay.
Sugar baby's diet. White watermelons are doing well.
Um, Boo say 6. You're 63. Where you at, Boo?
I need to see what my temperature is.
Why? I'm see what my temperature is at home.
I got to see what the tim is at the house, bro. Probably know.
It said just 79 where I'm at right now.
I mean, not where I'm at, but in uh let me see 88.
Yeah, it says 79 right now.
It's supposed to be 60. What's up, Cheryl Norris? What's going on?
Urban 693 where he's at.
She says here in Minnesota cold.
Oh, you in Minnesota right now.
We under thunderstorm watch. Yeah. Broke say 76. Yeah, that's about what's going on. That's what my phone say.
Yeah.
So, it's still it's still warm. 61. Not cold for May. Yeah. Minnesota. Yeah.
Yeah. 61 is definitely not bad.
What's going on, Kenishha Glover?
Teacher Tiff Ell says, "Uh, the next few nights might be up under 50 in New." Oh, you in New Jersey? Okay. My wife from New Jersey.
What's up, Urban? We got Canada up in the house. What's up, Urban Garden Chronicles?
It's 62 in Ohio with G, my man. Cold and raining. Uh-uh.
Oh, might say 60 normal temp. Oh, okay.
I don't mind 60.
I don't cuz right now I don't know if you can see like my skin is staying like humidity is high.
I don't know what it is, but it's you can feel it like South Georgia. Like when I was stationed down at Fort Stewart about to burn up, but I know some places y'all going to get some real real bad weather. This thunderstorm, I seen something I was watching today that u you know they had hail. So be careful out there.
We got 74 right now here in South Central California, Los Angeles.
My kid godmother's in um in Los Angeles.
Tama, she's out there.
I'm I'm sitting my children out there.
They they did a few weeks in the summer out there with their godmother.
Okay, everybody speaking.
But yeah, it's starting to feel real good out here. They got that breeze going on out here.
Got a little breeze going on.
That's what I've been waiting on. I came out here this morning, but then I went in the house in the house for the rest of the day.
76 is the hottest I like my comfy range.
66. Me too, Mike.
I'm the same way.
I had two wing beans popped up.
I don't know what's going on with them.
I planted a bunch of them. I got two of them that don't came up.
But I ain't going to give up on them.
Maybe all this rain the rest of them will come up. We'll see. And then I might plant a few more. I got two wing beans that don't came up.
I need to read to see if they're more heat resistant than the sugar snap pee.
If they're more heat resistant, then when my sugar snap piece started to die back, I'll just plant some more wing beans right there since it already got the little trellis, the little makeshift PVC trellis I put together.
So hopefully that works. We'll see. I got to read up a I never grown them before, but I planted I know at least 12 or more, maybe more than that, maybe 42 uh plants and I got two of them come up and my strike beans ain't do nothing.
That's I ain't never had no issues with no strike beans. So, I'm thinking, you know, them beans might not be, you know, my seeds might not be any good.
Let me see here. My beer getting hot.
What y'all cooking today? We going to have some fried fish here.
We going to have some fried fish and some fried ters.
It used to be a thing where people cook fish on Friday. That was a thing.
I know in Louisiana they do red beans on Monday.
I think every region got its own little deal. I need mine to act right cuz I ain't I ain't going to put but 10 C's of them.
And from the only person I saw selling purple. Oh, they got purple ones.
They not selling no more. Oh, I a purple ones.
See, Mike is a cold windy 65. Mine is a different type kind of call. Depending on your zone, the wing beans will produce a tuber and become perennial. Okay. Well, come become perennial. Come back. My stripe beans haven't done anything yet either.
I have and my strike beans is guaranteed they pop out.
I'm going to make some salmon and I have wings to make my lemon pepper style. You know what I'm saying? Urban, you might be from Atlanta. You know what I'm saying?
Broke said, "Why eat fish every Friday?"
Hey, man. It's a down south thing now.
That was a thing. Every Friday, fish.
And believe me, I love fish, so I don't mind. Mike said, "He having chicken noodle soup." Oh, that sounds good.
Mike, >> yay.
tough love. She said, "We used to never miss a Friday and I tried to keep tradition. This week I went ahead and had it yesterday due to the holiday. So we got our fish Friday fixing on Thursday this week." Yeah, I understand.
Said my mom cook fish every Friday. She from Georgia. She from Georgia and she from she from one of the best states in the union cuz that's what we that's where I'm from.
You ate Subway? Ain't nothing wrong with Subway.
I like Subway tuna scent that their tuna subs.
Yeah, I like their tuna subs.
What's going on, CP Family Farmer?
What's the business?
Yeah. Give me that tuna sub on the uh whatever that cheese bread is with that southwest sauce on that guy.
Say sure be outside barefoot once it hit 40s.
Oh, you got some barbecue chicken and some riceeroni. Oh, you doing it big over there. Some barbecue chicken wings and some weroni, man. Oh, broke said he want that chicken teriyak.
Yeah.
Yeah, good to me, man. Now, we had some subs yesterday from this place down here. Everybody got Philly um Everybody got Philly cheese subs. What's up, Erica Taylor?
Yeah, everybody got the Philly cheese yesterday and they were busting and they got to be right. You know, my wife and my father, you know, my mother, they from Jersey. They the bread got to be this and that. If not, they going to talk about it. I'm doing wings tonight.
Putting them on now so we can slow bake for a couple. Oh yeah, that sounds really good.
Yeah. I can't wait till them get this fish to fry. But I need some fish.
I like hot roasted chicken sub with bacon. Those are good, too.
Those are good. Mike, you going to make me go ahead and try to make me some right now.
You better make me go ahead and try to fix something right now.
But yeah, you know, probably another reason why I ain't go to none of these nurseries down here like I normally do, cuz I don't need to go.
I don't need to go.
You know, you go in that nursery, you going to come out of there with something, man.
You going to come out there with something. And these nurses be having everything, bro.
They be having everything. I don't need to get nothing else right now.
I'm getting a uh I'm getting another motor put on my boat right now. So yeah, I need to be drinking rice water.
Uh this was my first time seeing a sub way not and they shot him. Oh, for real?
Yeah, I drove. Yeah, we drove. We ain't fly down here. Nah.
Now, where my son at down in Key West?
Oh, I'm fly through there. I'm not driving down there. No, sir. That's too far.
Wings on a hell of a sale last week and I stocked up. They got to be 3D printing them.
I see the spot down here in Mororrow where they had them things for the Loski, too.
Yeah. So, when we get back, okay, my daughter-in-law just sent me some pictures, some videos of my grandbaby, but I'mma try to get down to um I don't know, man. I our schedule is booked up, man.
We so booked up.
I'mma try to get down to Key West this summer.
You know what I might do?
I think I think my wife is going to Aruba in I don't know if it's August or September. One of them she going to Aruba. I think when she goes to Aruba, I might slide down the Key West.
said Mike said, "My wallet takes 3D if it tastes good.
If my hydro herbs were planted on May 4th, shouldn't they all show by now?"
Um, I don't know cuz I've had some stuff that pop right up so quick and then other stuff, no, didn't pop up.
I don't know. I'm just learning it. I had some stuff come up so quick. I mean, put it up. Two days later, you go look, it's up. And I had some stuff. It took a long time for it to come up. So, I don't know.
That's a Mike and GT. I don't know if GT's still in here, but I think Mike is question. Yes, usually under a week.
There you go.
Uh, peppers, a month for peppers. Yeah.
Yeah, peppers take a while.
But I got a lot of peppers um out of my hydroponics that I planted. Um the problem is I don't know what they are.
Uh because I didn't label them and one of them I I they were ready and I picked I picked one of them. I didn't know if it was a banana pepper or or what. And I was trying to smell it to see if it smelled hide and all like that. And I bit it and taste a little bit. It was hot.
So, I don't do hot peppers like that.
So, I'm giving those to my my follow-on and people in my family that like hot peppers. I ain't one of them.
And I got some peppers in my garden. I don't know what they are, but I think some of them are a natada pino. I grew some nata pinños, but I guess I'm going to have to, you know, do the taste test just badly. to see if it burn my mouth to figure out what it is.
But that's my bad because, you know, I ain't label it.
All your peppers are sweet varieties.
Yeah, I have some habaneros that I'm growing for people in my family like hot peppers. I got some jalapenos I'm growing for people that like hot peppers.
And then there some other stuff I just threw in the hydroponics because I ain't know what I was doing just trying stuff.
If you go to a nursery, let me put in an order. You know what I'm saying, bro?
Bro, they be having so much crazy stuff down here, bro.
Even at the Home Depot be going crazy.
Yeah. Even the Home Depot be growing crazy.
Like when I was in Key West in February, they had a Barbados cherry. Man, that thing was so big. I said, see, that's the kind of Barbados cherry I need.
I need one that's already mature and you ain't got to be playing with it and all like that. She said, "I drove to the valley of the shadow of death and got some mullen apple mint and mint from Jamaica." There you go. The gas alone ridiculous, but I'm excited. Yeah.
She I need my bunnies to pre Oh, your scotch bunnies. Yeah, those are hot.
Oh, you got a couple figs, too. Okay. I got a big variety of pepper, scotch bunnies, habaneros, Caribbean red, Carolina reaper, ghost. Oh man, what are you trying to do?
You trying to kill yourself.
You got Yeah, that's some hot stuff, bro. I have to send four baby chairs to the front. That's what I'm saying, bro.
I need a big one. This right here was huge. But, you know, I'm down there. I can't put that big old thing on the plane. If I got it down here, of course, I can bring it back in the car. I tried to get the shashiditos that y'all turned me on to, but I think I got some bum seeds and I wasn't expecting that cuz I see them things be prolific. Yeah, it's just like the uh Tabascos that I'm growing. I'm going to make some more pepper sauce and them to uh Tabascos once they get to going. But they put out.
They really put out. What's up, Tad?
What's up, uh, Case? What's going on, Micher?
What's going on?
Yeah, I'm down here in um, Clewater, Florida at my in-laws, my mother-in-law found my house, chilling, ready to get back to come see my garden.
I need to see what going on.
You be gone for so many days. I think that's why my garden's a little bit behind, too, because February and March, I was traveling quite a bit.
Yeah, February, March, I came down here.
I went to Key West for two weeks. I came back from Key West. I flew to New Jersey. I'm just just constantly moving around, you know, and not tending to my business with the garden. I think that's why I got a little bit behind.
It's a rainy day in the Carolinas.
Yeah.
Oh, that's a blue J.
Oh, they fight.
Oh, they about they they about they about to battle around here. They fight.
I think I was doing all that moving around. I ain't get to lock in on what I needed to be locking in. stuff was getting out of hand.
Things are getting out of hand. But the number one thing I know I have to do is is go get me a load of that uh compost.
That's going to help my garden big time.
That's going to help them out big time.
Tell me one of y'all dream trees, fruit trees that you wish you had that you don't have. I know broke it can't be too many.
Broke, send me some of that cherry money since you giving it away.
What's one of your dream plants that you you wish you had in your garden or in your your orchard?
Trying to think of something that I would want that I don't have.
Black diamond apple.
Where did I see those at? Those way that bottom there. They had some kind of black apple, but I don't think it was black diamond apple. That sounds good.
Yeah, I'mma have to stop taking grants that that garden feed itself. Yeah, I'm going to get me some of that compost compost from me. Um, Kenisha Glover said, "A plum." What kind of plum, Kenisha? You said, "Uh, and um, teacher Tiff Alex says, "I have no fruit tree, so any is good. I think I would start with a fig tree." Okay. Yeah, figs are easy to grow, easy to propagate.
Sunshine said, "Money tree." I'm talking cash money. Me too. A fool you purs went to the glory.
I got lucky and got cuz I bought them before but I bought them little skinny little things but this time I bought actual good size tree two of them and they got fruit on them. They're doing really well.
I think I'mma get a I got to just go and do it. I I got so much going on. Another lowquat.
I tasted lowquat.
It probably was 30 something years ago.
I want that plum hands left at the old house. Oh man, I left uh a university plum. Uh uh Rosa. I I I left a Santa Rosa. I left a Princess Neptune.
nectarine.
I left a Lauren peach, red heading peach. I think I had five piece trees.
Big pear tree that was putting out a pristine apple tree, moononglow pear tree, and then I had another pear tree I had like 10, 11 years. Left a lot of stuff.
She said, "I don't know, something sweet. I fig is something really good to start with.
Yeah, I did. I left a go. I had to start over. I mean, I brought some stuff with me, but I couldn't even bring all that with me. I gave a lot of trees away cuz I had did a lot of air layers and I had a lot of trees that I didn't air. I had just bought trees and just put them in container. So, my brother-in-law, he was the lucky recipient for a bunch of both of my brother-in-laws. They was lucky recipients for a lot of the trees I had.
So, I love plums and pears, but you know what plum tree I got to get?
Uh, I got to get the native plum. Forgot what they call the pl Chickasaw. We just call them plum trees, but I want to get a Chickasaw plum tree. Plums I grew up uh I grew up eating. I want the red ones and the yellow ones.
Yeah, I want the red ones and the yellow ones.
Hopefully when I get back some of my blackberries don't turn black. If they did, I know the birds or the squirrels got them.
I'm over here triggered at the possibility that new owners might be might not be gardeners and might just delete all the food you love. I'm talking about all the beds.
All the beds with the irrigation running through 98 98% of them I think it was only like it was only uh one little small bed that I had little bed I put to the side that it didn't have irrigation.
Yeah, the Chickasaw.
What's going on J?
Yeah, they they they was love. And then what I did was I took the black tarp and I covered up all the beds. You know what I'm saying? All nice and neat for them.
So they can just open up which ones they want to use.
Because if you open up all of them, that's that's a lot of bed.
And I only have three beds here, but I got containers.
So, my containers going to make up for a lot of it.
You know what people do down here?
What's a big thing down here in Clear Water? What's a real big thing here is people go to the uh the beach in the evening here to watch the sunset. Like that's a big thing here. You be trying to find park and trying to find somewhere to park to go. That's a real big thing here. They have like real pretty sunsets here.
So I'm sure it's a lot of people over there right now. You know, hundreds of people, maybe a thousand peoples out there as the sun is dropping on the ocean.
Yeah, that's a real big thing here. Me, I don't care nothing about I don't see I ain't going to.
Yeah, I ain't people that trying to fight fight fighting trying to find no damn parking spot to watch the sunset trees and all those volunteers. I would be in heaven. Yeah. Yeah.
It's beautiful that the residents don't.
Yeah, I would hope they don't, but who knows?
What's up, Crooked Peach?
What's going on?
I don't let my beer get hot.
Y'all get your glasses up if you got one. Cheers.
It's starting to get quiet now.
Yeah, man. Y'all get your glasses up, man.
Sit back and relax. Not a lot. Y'all fing off Fox attached to Fox.
Oh my goodness.
I go get something with a little bit more. Yeah, I got something for a fox.
You be red fox when I send something to them. Kombucha.
Okay.
Got to be careful with those kind of thing. Them things be rabbit.
Yeah, rabies and all kind of stuff.
states. I don't drink, but I smoke one by that thing up there, shorty. Yeah, go ahead and puff puff and puff.
She So, I got something for a fox, too, but it was too fast. Yeah, I got you.
Cricket P. Yeah, she not a sipper.
Yeah.
So, you gonna blow something in the air for you.
I ain't no crow to see a sunset, nothing else. But if it's beautiful, those folks are taking it all in. Yeah. I hope they have a good time.
I ain't finished. I don't care about, you know, I'm old grumpy. I don't care, man.
There you go. My wife, they be going to the beach and all that. I ain't going out there.
Well, how the hell out there, boy? I ain't going out there.
She said, "Yeah, I'm not a simple. I'm a puffer." Okay.
Yeah. Partake in the lettuce.
All right.
I ain't mad at nobody for nothing.
I need to be talking to my doctor.
Hey man, you need to call bad as I be hurry.
Oh, broke over them hinekans.
Okay, them hineas will get it done for sure.
Yeah, I'mma try to get up and get up out of here early in the morning. I want to get home before the bottom fall out. We supposed to get some heavy rain tomorrow afternoon.
Y'all ever had squash vine boards attack tomatoes?
They're a bunch of jerks, man. No, I never had them attack tomatoes. Not that I know of.
Huh?
I never had them attack tomatoes, but I think they will attack uh pumpkins and cucumbers and stuff like that, but I never had them attack tomatoes.
That's why I need to go get some compost put around my squash. They they barely move. Ain't nothing moving like it should.
I go get this compost and put them around these water these melons and all that stuff.
That's when I'm going to get some movement.
Quicker piece of Yes. tomatoes. I actually showed everybody yesterday morning on my life cuz uh I had those vine board and Amish paste tomatoes. I broke my whole day. I knew it broke your heart.
That's a terrible feeling. What's going on sunshine? I mean pressure sunshine.
That's a terrible feeling man.
Terrible feeling.
I think sometimes when you know if a if the vine bar attack if you can get that uh that lava out before it just destroys the whole plant.
um before it destroyed us. She said yes, it was a terrible thing. I just had our first flower and everything. That's something I think sometimes you can get that little lava out and cover up your um cover up them roots with soil going up a little further up the uh vine. You might be able to say um you might be able to say that squash because uh those squash will rroot the uh the vines anyway they touch the ground. So you may be able to I could have but by the time I saw it it was laying down in the gar put some in his butt.
Yeah.
It's a wild cat. It's some It's a It's a couple three cats that be walking around the neighborhood. I know one of them for sure belongs to somebody and two of them I don't think they belong. It's a orange one I call Heat Cliff, but it's another one. This a wild cat. Like I know this cat don't belong to anybody. In fact, it look like something bit his tail off or something. And uh I saw him and some had took a dump in my yard in my um and I saw him over there in that that same area and I jumped up and ran him off.
I see him again. He might get him a little plet in the butt. Send him on by this way.
I ain't going I ain't going to try to send him to the upper room, but he might have to limp out my yard.
Yeah, the tomato was down and out.
See? Yeah. T say she's done that. She saved the squash by getting that bore out and burying the stem. Yeah, you bury it and then go all the way up. Not all the way up the stem, but a little further past where you got good stem and and bury it.
So, yeah. lip off at the very least. I'm going have to put something in them.
Yeah. A little pop to get them to go in.
Don't come over here with that foolishness cuz I got some I got some some holes in the yard that I done leveled off with some soil. I don't put soil in there. He trying to use it as a litter box. That ain't going to work.
I was out and I looked and said cuz there's no wild dogs or loose dogs or nothing like that running around right now.
cats.
I said, "Oh, he think this a little box." Oh, okay.
All right, Cletus.
Yeah, next time I send him a little pallet in the butt. Send him on or at least close enough to him to, you know, let him know. Go somewhere else, bro.
Find somewhere else.
I'mma put something in you where you want bae to sit down. A dog gone cat call himself turn around to hiss at me.
That would have been it for him. Sprayed his butt up with pet spray.
Told her you don't want it with me. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. He would have hissed. Well, he might have made me go in the garage, get one of them crossbows.
We both would have been hissing.
I had a couple of BBs in one yesterday.
And one yesterday. Yeah.
And I don't got I just about got my little thing zeroed in. It's actually I have one, but I like my brother-in-laws because his got the scope on it and uh I was zeroing it in because it got a little bit off.
And so it's just about right on. It's still off a hair, but I'm not going to play with the scope anymore. It's closing up. You know what I'm saying?
So, it's it's it's hitting consistently uh maybe an inch to the uh right and up.
So, I just know to aim a little to the left and down.
I'm not going to fool with the scope anymore. It is. It's not like the MOI, the minute of angle. I mean, MOA from MOI, the MOA on a uh on a rifle where you can really tighten it in because the they're so light when you shooting the wind can move it in any kind of direction. You know, you be Yeah. I hit the bullseye one time and then I just kept hitting consistently hitting one spot over. I said, "That's it. I'm not going to fool with it. That's good right there.
You have a CO2. No, this one right here.
Got a piston in it.
It's a brake barrel. You don't pump it.
What's going on, Miss Shirley? Yeah, you don't pump it. You just break the barrel, put your pellet in, bring it back up, and I I think it shoot like 11, 1200 feet a second, something. It's crazy. It It shoots fast.
Yeah, it shoots really fast.
What's up, passion tree art? What's going on, Tracy?
Down here in Florida at my in-laws.
I should have walked down the street.
It's good and quiet out here, man.
And then some of these people do have fruit trees in their yard, but like I said, it's so different kind of stuff. I don't know what they are.
Like right here, that looks like a I know that's a dragon fruit.
That kind of looks like a mango, but I don't know.
Yeah, that's a lot of people. They got fruit trees. Like I said, I don't know what they are.
It's pretty out here, though.
Pretty quiet down here.
We need to switch places with Mr. Red cuz when I get ready to get up out of here tomorrow, I don't want no delay.
Y'all see the sun going to set over that way. That's some weird looking pine trees.
Weird looking.
What's up, Hust?
Yeah, Floa. Yeah, just come in. Sit down. You been out in the yard all day.
I feel you.
Yeah, I haven't seen any kids. Uh, the only kids I've seen here is the lady next door. She does homeschooling and people be dropping their kids off over there.
But that's the only thing I them only kids I see.
I'm sure some over here. But you know what? These kids don't come outside though, Urban. It's hard to tell what part of Florida I'm in. I'm in Clear Water, Florida.
It's on the west side right on the um uh in the Gulf. Like the water the water is probably I'm probably not even a mile away from the water.
Oh, it ain't my neighbor. It's my mother-in-law neighbor.
But a whole bunch of people dropping their kids off.
I seen all these fancy cars pulling up and kids getting out. I'm like, what is going on over here? You love Clear Water? Yeah, it's it's pretty down here.
It's nice.
They dropping kids off. They can homeschooling.
My wife told me that she'd be taking them out on outings and stuff like that to the museum.
A older white lady, she uh She um I spoken to her. She like like a old hippie or something.
Still good for those kids. Anyway, can relate to the parents for not allowing them to be a part of the public church system. I'm still in the land of the living. Oh [ __ ] Asking how she's doing.
This is Oh, my bad. They call the public school system. Yeah.
See, a lot of people got uh solar panels on their roofs here. Lot of solar panels.
I need some of those.
As hot as it is where I'm at, I need some solar.
So that must be my cousin cuz I'm I'm a old hippie. Yeah. Yeah. She's the older lady. She be walking down the street speaking. I said yes.
Said, "Did we get rain in Georgia?" I looked on my um I'm not in Georgia right now, but I looked on my um rain camera and yeah, it was coming down.
It was coming down pretty good. So hopefully still raining.
Urban. I bet she burned bra. She look like that kind. Yeah. She pro she protested the Vietnam one. Yeah. Yeah.
She one of the ones that march. She marched with Dr. King. She wanted television show. I'm actually drinking Mullet tea right now. Okay.
It just started raining here. All right.
We needed it bad. Yeah.
Hous said she taking everything.
Yeah. She like she might like she want to throw up a peace sign and wiki.
Ain't no telling she might be over there burning one when them kids ain't over there. Them kids and she might be on the back porch.
She might be back there blowing one for all I know.
which that's her business. I don't care.
Yeah.
Whatever floats your boat, man. I'll stay out of people business.
She I have Mullen tea on the store already. I'll be drinking some later tonight. Cool business.
Tennessee have eight days of rain. Went from drought to flooding. Yeah.
We can't get it right. You gonna get either you gonna burn up or you gonna drown.
Mike Mike said burning bras is God's work. Yeah.
Let him free man. Y'all get y'all glass up on my boy Mike, man. Mike is out here, man. Mike a little free. She definitely burning one with them kids ain't over there. Yeah, she probably in the back right now. Got what? Burn up.
Mike, I love the comment so much. It's God's work. Yeah, y'all get y'all glass up if you got one, man. Cheers to my boy Mike. Mike wild as hell. Cheers.
Say, okay, y'all checking. We know we all are vitamin C, vitamin D deficient.
That's true.
We definitely are.
I know I am. My doctor got me taking a a vitamin D supplement.
Yeah.
I told him I be outside. He's like, "You're not getting enough."
Cousin Urban is talking to you.
drinking uh Pepsi and tequila uh from from rum that'll get you that'll run anything out your body for sure.
Said not me. I got proof.
What boo you talking about?
You want some vitam? Okay, Urban. That's biological advice. Yeah.
>> Recording.
>> No, I'm not recording. I'm on I'm live.
>> Fish gun.
>> Oh, is it?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. All right, y'all. Y'all don't heard the queue now. You heard my mother-in-law say the fish done. Yeah.
What that mean? One finger. Two fingers.
I appreciate you guys sliding in.
Buy said I'm not vitamin D deficient.
What? What kind of vitamin D you done?
Hold up now. Boo. This a kid show.
Your doctor got you taking a once a week vitamin. Uh yeah.
Yeah. I used to be outside all the time.
Stacy, but ended up with multiple. Oh, sorry to hear that, Eric.
The meat kind. Hey, man.
Passion said the meat. Yeah, you got to throw the on the end of that guy. Oh yeah. Yeah, when she open the door, I smell the fish now. All right, y'all.
