This video presents the comprehensive community wishlist for STALKER 2 Patch 2.0, highlighting critical improvements needed across multiple game systems. The top priorities include expanding A-Life simulation ranges for more natural world behavior, fixing enemy spawning issues where mutants and NPCs appear in illogical locations, improving AI behavior to make NPCs more realistic in combat and interactions, addressing performance problems like micro-stutters and crashes, enhancing lighting and rendering distances, improving the PDA system for better quest tracking and artifact information, adding more side quests and repeatable contracts, implementing proper free play after the ending, and enhancing immersion through better stealth mechanics, disguises, and environmental details like campfires and weather effects.

STALKER 2 - The Biggest Problems Patch 2.0 Must FixAdded:
Stalkers, patch 2.0 could be the biggest update Stalker 2 has received since launch. Before testing begins, I wanted to put together the biggest community wish list I could find. The good news is people are not just asking for a completely different game anymore, and there are some changes I really want to see in patch 2.0. The biggest thing I want to improve is still A-Life. The Zone is at its best when it feels like it exists without me. I want larger simulation ranges. I want distant firefights happening miles away. I want patrols traveling between locations. I want factions moving around the map naturally and actually fighting over territory. Right now, a lot of encounters still feel tied to the player. NPCs can appear too close.
Events often stop existing when you leave an area, and some capture points feel too predictable after dozens of hours. I want offline simulation pushed further, more actively happening outside the player's immediate area, more evidence that the world keeps moving whether I'm watching it or not. The Zone should feel alive whether I'm standing there or not. The second thing I really want fixing is spawning. I don't care if the game's difficult, when I can see the system working. Enemies appear behind me, NPC clones, mutants spawning in strange locations, bloodsucker packs, bandit groups, and zombie armies suddenly appear where they shouldn't.
I've also seen reports of enemies spawning underground, cooldowns feeling too short, and areas getting flooded with mutant packs back-to-back. The best Stalker 2 moments happen when danger feels natural. Combat has improved massively since launch. I still think another major AI pass would help. NPCs can still feel too precise at long range. Some players report enemies shooting through cover or not reacting properly when hit. Flanking behavior can be inconsistent, and friendly squads sometimes struggle against enemies they should realistically handle. I've also seen plenty of complaints about NPCs looting immediately after combat, neutral stalkers ignoring nearby firefights, and AI getting stuck in doorways still, staircases, and narrow hallways. I'd also love to see expanded wounded animations and better damage reactions. The firefights are already good, they could be incredible. A lot of immersion-breaking bugs still exist.
Bodies falling through floors, enemies disappearing underground after death, artifacts spawning beneath the map still in the 1.9 build, weapons not dropping correctly, burers and poltergeists attacking through walls, damage occasionally registering through solid cover or even multiple rooms, which sadly has still not been fixed. Another thing I'd love to see improved is mutant behavior. Many players still feel there's simply too many bloodsuckers.
Rats can become repetitive. Some mutants appear in locations that don't really make sense. I'd also like to see stronger interactions between mutants, NPCs, and anomalies. I'd say mutants should feel affected by the world around them. Predators should hunt weaker creatures, NPCs and mutants should clash naturally without player involvement.
Zones should feel like an ecosystem, not just a collection of encounters. One other thing I want smoother performance, micro stutters, frame pacing issues, crashing, freezing during combat, and occasional save problems are still being reported across multiple platforms. PS5 Pro crashes and I'm going in circles, performance complaints, HDR gamma issues on Xbox and OLED displays are also regularly mentioned. No amount of new content matters if players are fighting the game itself. Performance improvements will benefit everybody.
Lighting remains another common complaint. Some interiors are still too dark, while other areas swing too far in the opposite direction with extreme brightness. Players continue reporting lighting flicker, object popping, short NPC render distances, and limited draw distances for distance activity. One of the biggest reasons people keep asking for binoculars is because right now there often isn't enough activity visible at range to justify using them.
A larger simulation and better rendering distance would work hand-in-hand. I also think progression could use another pass. Weapon balance still feels inconsistent in places, more attachments would be welcome, repair costs can feel punishing, and armor progression sometimes lack clear identity. Many players want lucky NPCs carrying more believable starter gear and better changes between armor classes. I've also seen repeated requests for improved laser alignment, proper night vision support, infrared equipment, low ready weapon stances, and additional consumables. These are small features individually, but together they add a lot of immersion. The PDA still has room for improvement, too. Blueprint tracking can be confusing, upgrade USB sticks are not always clearly acknowledged, stash markers can become cluttered, and loot box strolling remains frustrating. I love faction standings, proper stats, encyclopedia entries, better artifact information, and clearer progression tracking. The PDA should feel like a STALKER survival tool, not just a menu.
Content is another area where I'd like to see expansion. Players still report issues with quests like three captains and some barkeep repeatable missions. I want more side quests, more repeatable contracts, better stash rewards, and longer NPC quest chains. One of the biggest requests I keep seeing is proper free play after the ending, so players can continue living in the zone without feeling pushed into starting over. Some late game encounters also feel too scripted compared to the emergent gameplay STALKER is known for. There's also several console and accessibility improvements players keep asking for.
Better control sensitivity options, full custom keybinds, improved quick item management, prone, ledge grabbing, and climbing. Clear communication around multiplayer consoles, a roadmap for console mod kits, and fixes for cross save issues affecting some DLC and pre-order owners. And finally, the big one, immersion. I want more close, deeper stealth, disguises, and faction infiltration. I want NPCs to survive more naturally, campfires to feel more alive, more conversations, more routines, and more stories that happen without me. I want darker nights, heavy fog, snow, better fast travel options, more dynamic faction wars. Generally, I think 2.0 could become one of the most important updates STALKER 2 has ever received. With the engine update, it's either going to bring a lot of players back or players will suddenly just walk away for good. So, let me know below what's the number one thing you still want fixed before patch 2.0 arrives.
