Breaking! Atiku, Amaechi in Panic, as Court Order INEC to deregister ADC, other party gives reason

[00:00:01]All right, guys. So, I have a breaking news to share with you guys. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to you all depending on your location at this time of the day. All right, so I don't want to waste much of your time.

[00:00:12]Of course, this issue was issue that was, you know, keeping people's fingers crossed. And finally, the Federal High Court in Abuja have ordered INEC to deregister ADC. Of course, you know Atiku Abubakar is under the platform of the ADC. Well, for me, I believe they are going to challenge the outcome, but for now, uh the court has ordered INEC to deregister the ADC, APP, AA, AP, and ZLP.

[00:00:46]So, according to the plaintiff, the uh these political parties uh failed to meet the electoral you know, requirement as in to win in a a federal uh a federal elective position, a federal, state, or local government elective uh position. All right? And then, uh in 2023, most of these party, all right, or these parties did not meet uh that requirement. Apart from the defection, all right, apart from defection, but these parties did not meet uh the requirement. So, for now, I I really don't know what uh is going to happen next, but I believe they are going to appeal this particular judgment. You understand? Because if they do not appeal this particular judgment, it therefore means that INEC, by deregistering this party, Atiku Abubakar may not be on the ballot in 2027.

[00:01:49]And of course, uh the window period for defection to another political party has already ended, so uh they may just be stranded and or their appeal may favor them, all right?

[00:02:03]But, that is the latest update currently. Uh just like I said, it is a mega CN for that political party, that is the ADC.

[00:02:12]The APP, we all know all these political party. The AA, all right? The AP and the Zenith Labour Party. So, that is the latest update currently I quickly want to share with you.

[00:02:28]Uh for me, I don't know what else to say at this point in time, but uh I don't know. I don't know, but it is um part of the it is in the Nigerian constitution or electoral constitution, all right? It is a law that had already exist, so it is not something that people will wake up and then, you know, try to because some people may uh begin to wonder or think that it's a political witch hunt. This is not about political witch hunt, it's already there that any political party that failed to meet some requirement, you understand?

[00:03:08]Electoral requirement should be deregistered.

[00:03:12]So, these political parties did not meet those requirement to have an elective position in, you know, federal, state, and local government. So, that is the reason why court has ordered INEC to deregister them. So, uh we are going to wait for the next line of action, you understand? Uh because um the lawyer to uh these people here, all right? To the defendant, these political party will know what to do next, but that is the latest update I quickly want to share with you.
