[00:00:05]>> Yeah. What is this thing? I know this is probably something that's very important to you. So, this is the X-55. It is the world's first AI piloted vertical takeoff, launch, and land fighter jet.

[00:00:15]Sorry, mouthful. So, they can vert- they can vertically take off and also land vertically. And land vertically. That's correct.

[00:00:20]>> What kind of What kind of like advantages is that going to provide this airframe platform? Yeah, so look, uh, runways are extremely vulnerable, really easy to hit targets.

[00:00:29]>> They don't move. You can see it from every satellite in the world. And if you look at what's going on in the most recent conflicts, the US, where have we lost our airplanes? We lost them on the runway in Saudi Arabia. Pakistan and India, when they went at it each other last year, they went after each other's runways. Russia Ukraine, right? Where do they go after each other's? They go after each other's runways to destroy the strategic assets, which are fighter jets, which are bombers, uh, and they hit them on the ground.

[00:00:57]>> And transport aircraft. Yeah, so the vertical takeoff, launch, and land capability, uh, eliminates that problem.

[00:01:03]You are no longer required to be on a runway. You're runway independent. The other cool thing is you can put it on cargo ship, put it on destroyers, right?

[00:01:10]You can put it on ships that basically any turn a ship into an aircraft carrier. But essentially, if if that has a helo deck, now all of a sudden you have a ship that has fighter jet like capability.

[00:01:22]>> This thing is guided by artificial intelligence, is that correct?

[00:01:25]>> That is correct. Our AI pilot, Hivemind.

[00:01:27]AI pilot, Hivemind. Is that like a proprietary AI that was designed by Shield?

[00:01:32]>> Yes, that is our AI pilot that we designed, have been working on for 11 years now. That AI pilot has now flown 28 different aircraft. We were chosen by the US Air Force to provide the AI pilot to the CCAs there. So, we've flown on the Anduril Fury, we've flown on helicopters, the Lakota helicopter, flying on One-Way Attack drones. We've shipped over 1,000 AI pilots to Ukraine just this year alone. Wow. Um, we are >> 1,000? Yeah, over a thousand.

[00:01:58]>> Yeah, yeah. Wow. The way that it stands out from these other collaborative combat aircraft that you mentioned, besides being the only one that's vertical takeoff launch and land, it is the only one that uses a fighter jet engine. Now, we're going to first flight uh end of this year.

[00:02:13]>> That's exciting. Are Are you excited about that?

[00:02:15]>> Yeah, it's going to It's [laughter] going to be sick. Like, this thing is very cool. It like honestly, you work on something for 11 years, which is how long I've been doing Shield AI for, um and getting to work on a product like this like re-energizes you incredibly inspiring. It'll be really cool to not just fly this, but then turn it into an operational capability for the warfighter. Yeah. Well, I mean, I appreciate your time. I can see you're very passionate about it, which obviously you have to be if you're do if you're going to take 12 years of your life to dedicate towards something, you got to be pretty passionate about.
