Peaky Dippers is liveAñadido:
Hello G. How you doing, darling?
>> Gail, can you let me know whether this picture is okay and whether the signal is good because uh we are in a stream.
Hello Earth Wiming. How you doing Colorado?
How you doing Clay?
I'm going to show you where we are in a minute once people are on.
We found a little stream and I tell you what, there's some stuff in here.
It's a nice beautiful sunny day as well for a change guys. Well, I say for a change. It's been nice for the last couple of days. Really can't complain.
Hello, Wendy. How you doing?
Good day, Pey. Where are the rest of the crew? Kirsty and Michael, unfortunately, Wendy. Uh, well, I say unfortunately, they are holiday. They're coming back tomorrow.
James Sland, how you doing? All good, mate. The picture set. Thank you very much, Alan Gray.
Julie Grundy, how you doing, Julie?
So yeah, it's uh it's uh I'm glad I'm glad the picture's okay as such for you guys cuz in a minute when there's enough people and I'll show you where we are.
And uh never thought little Brooks like this existed. It's actually quite disgusting really, but you'll see what I mean in a minute.
>> We've done quite well today, haven't we?
>> We have done well. We have done well.
We've had some bits, haven't we?
>> Yeah.
>> We have got the bag over there with all the fines in. There's Maria. Not Maria in the bag, by the I meant the bag over there. Look over there.
>> How you doing? How you doing, Dawn? We got Dutch Lura. How you doing?
>> Is that a bottle?
>> It's bosed. Whatever that is. I'll show you where we are in a minute. Let's set some people on. Um, we got Dave Carter.
How you doing?
Hi, Glenn and Marie. Dave Carter.
>> Happy Mother's Day to Marie. See, >> Mother's Day to all you as well.
>> It's not Mother's Day in the UK. It is, I believe, in the States and I don't know if it's the same in Canada, but uh happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful ladies and mothers over at the other side of the pond.
Um, we got Jackie Humphrey. How you doing?
So, happy birthday to you all.
>> Happy birthday. What am I on about?
Happy Mother's Day to you all. Oh, >> it's a nice one.
>> Panel one, >> let's show you what I'm doing. Let's turn you around. Yeah, to show what I've just >> Look at this for a brook, guys. Now, we've gone from a brook where we don't find nothing to bottles left, right, and center.
>> They aren't mega old. They are probably 1930s to 40s at the bush. We have had a few earlier bottles which I'm in that bag there which I'm not going to show you because they're for the fines but uh most of them are uh 1930s kind of bits two locations today.
>> We have been to two locations yet.
>> So we got bottles broen bottles. We got jars. Um me and R have just had a nice little find from here each.
You can see how shallow this is. And it is just completely I don't know if you can see this guys.
It is just there's bottles everywhere.
Look.
There you go.
>> Hola. There's another one.
>> There's another What's that one?
>> I don't know.
>> Well, that's different.
So, there you go. Oh, right on. What's >> that one say?
I can't even see what it says.
It's got writing on. Oh, we'll take that one. We'll take that one. So, yeah, we're uh It is a lovely day. Thank you, Dutch. It is a lovely day. How you doing, John Flanigan? I hope you're getting better, John. I know you was uh a bit ill the other the other week, wasn't you, mate? So, we do hope that you're getting better, mate. Our prayers are with you. Get yourself well. Uh we've got uh Have you ever considered using a clear? We do. We do use a bucket, but we didn't know we was going to be coming here to be fair today.
We've been to another river.
Um, but this one's really low to be fair. A bucket. You just don't need it.
Look. But, um, yes, we have got buckets with clear bottoms in milk.
>> Yeah. Oh, milk. Little milk glass. Look.
So, some of you, some of you, I'm not saying you're old, but some of you may remember the milk glass uh face creams um or your nans and granddads, whatever.
But yeah, so milk glass coming out. It's It's all chipped and distorted, but never mind. You know, it is what it is.
There is bits coming out. How you doing, Chuck? Good afternoon to you. It's good evening now. It's 6:00. I was quite surprised how late we've gone live.
Actually, it's 6:00 in the evening now.
>> We didn't realize the time, didn't we?
>> No. How you doing, Mimi?
>> So, yeah, that that's just nice little bottom. Oh, it's missing the corner.
Look, mate.
>> Oh, it's missing the corner. I won't keep it now. It's my house. Oh, is that green? Or is it the reflection of the I think it's a reflection of the trees behind. Well, it has got it's a very It's a very aqua green. So, it is old.
I'll take it back and clean it. See what it is. We got Viva's. Mom, how you doing? Oh, forgot that you were on. I remember my mom having that face cream.
There you go. See, somebody remember, you know, somebody sees them.
We have had a few nice bottles to be fair. I mean, look at this, guys. It's good, but it's terrible at the same time, isn't it? That we as humans decide to chuck them in the Well, I wouldn't say they're chucked in the water. I would say that Hang on. Bear with me, guys. I'm sorry about the picture. I would say that them more come out of a bottle dump further upstream, but there's not nothing amazing. How you doing, Michael Wyatt?
I'm trying to keep you out the sun.
Well, kind of out the sun in the sun if that makes sense. But yeah, uh I can't show you them properly, but yeah, there's bottles everywhere. But as I say, guys, they are all 1930s.
And I know a lot of people probably say, "Yeah, but 30s is still 80 years old."
But well nearly 100 years old actually. But the thing is is we don't collect them because of screw top. I can't show you in the bag because that's the fines >> and it'll ruin the video.
But Marie, today to be fair, we went to a river which is very old. There's actually a Roman settlement by it and we took the pinpointers. Uh we didn't take the metal detectors for some strange reason. We took the metal detector at the pinpointers and Marie if I think what it is. You can't show it then. No.
>> Oh, you can show them the pinpointer.
>> We had bought just one.
>> So, that was bought by somebody on air.
So, thank you very much. Uh, one each for the peak. So, there's actually four of them. So yeah, Marie had uh something and if it's what I think it is, I've got to get it checked out and then it will be a damn good find and probably one of the oldest finds we've had quite a while because it was by a very Roman Roman part of the river and there's a bit of an island there and there used to be apparently there used to be a Roman fort on this island. Um, and there's a Saxon church, which I've done a video on previously, guys. So, uh, it was that area, but we've came to this stream and, uh, there's lots in there, a hell of a lot in here. But you've got to get amongst all the I say modern stuff, but the modern stuff to see amongst it to see if you can get any old stuff. How you doing, Kirst? I hope you're enjoying your last day, my darling. And I hope you have a safe flight back home tomorrow. Well, early as the morning, isn't it? But cursed, I've got to admit, darling, it's been red.
And we are here. Curse, you know where we are. I'm going to turn the camera around.
>> Bottles everywhere. Jars, sauce bottles. I was going to keep them for you, Curse, but I know you got enough of them there.
Um, what else we got? Yeah, bottles.
Bottles. This one came out literally just before I went live. Little tablespoons. Look. And it's not black.
It's not. It is clear, but this is what the water does to them until you clean them up. I've just spotted another one.
There you go.
Nice little Nothing on them, unfortunately. Nothing on them.
Uh, but yeah. So, I'll take you with me and let's see if you can spot anything.
Now, you're going to have to really shout if you see anything because I won't be able to hear.
But there is lots in this stream. Lots of bits. And Mar's had we both had some nice sort of finds in here actually today.
So, we're happy. We're happy. So, it is a bit of a mud larky video. You will be seeing next uh next Saturday, guys.
>> Where'd you go?
That is a furniture cream. It's a guess.
>> Is it?
>> Let's have a look.
Trying to get it in focus. Stevenson Brothers.
>> What's that? Stevenson some brothers furniture cream. There you go.
>> See now my blockles.
>> It's not me old.
>> It's not me old.
Gentle in Jamaica. Oh, I tell you what, Clay, I'd love to be I'd love to be in Jamaica.
I really would.
But yeah, I'm just putting all these bottles in a pile, but I'm leaving them for anybody else that walks the stream.
they can for them all they can take them because when you first start bottle digging them the kind of things you go for but now we've got a bit spoiled we after the Victorian stuff there hasn't been a few Victorian bits come out which we've got so I can't wait to show you them how you doing Diana Mary Owen worth out for that snake um so yeah it's uh You just don't know.
You keep rewalking the river and you always come across something you've missed previously. It's mad. Yeah. Look, all these jars.
And they're not cheap. These jars, if you go to the shop and buy them, there's hundreds of them in here. Hundreds of them.
I've got you some nice little presents, Kirsty.
I've got you some nice little presents, girl.
Hello trees. How you doing?
It's good to see everybody on here again anyway. It really isn't.
30s 40s. I sound spoiled, but I have been very spoiled last few weeks with our digging because we've had some lovely bottles as you've seen. Um and then just I think it was just before Christmas or just after Christmas we had some one-offs that was proper >> I think I've got a little one there.
>> Oh, you got a little one? Yeah. Two sizes. So there's the smaller one where found a Stevenson's furniture cream.
Yeah. There you go.
>> They're not nothing we take.
No sauce bottles or teeth. Thank you, bro.
Kirsty, I thought cuz you wasn't here. I thought just going to put them in a bag and dump them on your step for when you get home.
>> Is that my sister?
>> Yeah, your sister's on. And I'm sure Mike's watching as well. Bless him. But uh go say hello to everyone cuz Oh, and I did find I did find this stone. And we are at the back of a church. So, I'm guessing some kids have painted that. So, I'm going to put it back up on the church steps because I reckon some little kiddies lost that. It is. It looks like me, doesn't it?
So, yeah, I'm going to put that up on the church steps. Have they can get it back. It's probably roll down here and they can't get it.
Mike is here right next to me. Love you, sis, bro. Oh, we love you too, too.
We're missing you, B.
I know you deserve an holiday and everything. And I mean, you know, the wages I'm paying you and everything, but I mean, you could have took us with you or you could have not gone and stayed with us.
>> They deserve it.
>> No, they do deserve it. Been through a lot the last few months. So, as everybody knows, what came foot on it?
That's the bottom of a bottle. Bottom of a bottle.
Um, back of a church there. All dump, do you think? No. Um, I know what you're saying because a lot of church is did have dumps at the back of them, but this isn't the back. It's a modern church, but all the stuff's coming from further downstream cuz we've seen where people have been digging the bank. Um, but as I say, I've had a little scrape with my scraper. I've not gone too far in because it's a nice area and uh I know a lot of bottle diggers down here probably get a shovel in there and absolutely cave the main road in which I'm not going to do but uh no it's quite a modern church actually it's actually there look it's quite a modern church um want to say hello let's see if Marie can find anything while we're on >> just hello everybody you peeking warriors.
>> You see how deep it is? Look, Mary's put her riders on down here. D >> put your boots on.
>> To be fair, I have got flooding boots again.
>> I want to try and find something else.
>> But it's good because they get dirty at the bottle dump and I get dirt in them.
So when I come out to the stream, it just washes them all out. And by the time I put them on the week after, they're all nice and clean and they feel lovely and dry.
Mary's got a little picker air. Look.
Oh, okay. Mom, I I'd like to know how that church is.
That's a It's an old uh face cream as well. Uh I do believe I found one of these intact the ones. Um this one's a bit worse a wear, but yeah, I'm going to try and get in focus. There you go.
Actually thought that was a boots one then, but it's not. So yeah, little face cream. Little tin.
>> Little tin.
>> Little tin. Just a few. That's you know like last kided all them years.
>> Oh my beautiful sister with her grabber.
Bless her.
Me too.
>> I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what, sis. You want for that grabber a couple of times? She'd have gone in the water.
>> face first. She's used it more of a walking stick. You >> I have. Yeah.
>> And we had a lovely You'll see the photos on Peak's cave later, guys. We were sitting in the sunshine and we had a lovely shandi each, didn't we?
>> But I would never spend that much ever again, will I?
>> Oh my god.
>> 12. Two shandies, guys.
>> 12.95.
>> 13 quid.
When Marie come back and said the 12 quid, I said 13 quid. I says, "You better sip that." Want a drink?
>> Oh, there's a bottle there.
>> What's that? What's that one?
>> It's a sauce.
>> Oh, it's a sauce. Get that for Kirsty.
Put that in the bag for Kirsty. Yeah, it might be a different style that Kirsty likes. Oh, Kirsty. This one's a plain one. Even better, darling. Yeah, I'll put that in the bag for you. No, I won't c I won't I won't wind you up. I won't wind you up.
Um, yes, I know, girl. I know. Me. It was so expensive. Never again.
Look at that.
>> Oh, that's a heavy piece of something, can he?
>> Yeah, >> that's heavy as that.
>> We found something else earlier as well, haven't we? That we we're not quite sure what it is.
>> Does anybody know what that is, guys? If there's anyone in here knows what it might what it might be. Oh, hang on.
Is that a battery terminal car?
>> I don't know, though.
>> We found something earlier and we need some help with that when it comes.
>> Yes, we do. Yes, we have got a not a mystery item, but well, I say it's a mystery item.
>> Mystery. I don't know what it is.
>> Yeah. So, as I say, it's good for us as history hunters, but it's an awful crying shame when obviously there've been bottles buried in here.
>> You leave the Victorians alone if they wanted to dump bottles in little stuff.
I don't mind the Victorians. I don't like the 1930s people dumping them in.
But uh yeah, so look, you know, there's bits of everything, guys. This is what we're looking in. It's so clear until marine. What is it up there?
>> Does anybody want to paste?
>> Shrimp paste. Anybody? Shrimp paste.
Yeah, they ran right to the 1670s.
What's that there? That >> there.
Florida Allen. How you doing? this here.
>> Yeah. Oh, it's a piece of plate. Yeah, it is.
>> Uh, let's have a look. Let's all have a look together. See if we can find something together. What's What's that?
Well, yeah, that look that looks round.
Yeah, that that looks round.
Oh, it's a little jar.
>> See what I mean? And there's something next to it as well.
I'll tell you what, if we wanted jars, we know where to come.
We know where to come, >> but we have we have had some nice little bit V bits. Found something in my foot.
>> You're in your feet.
>> I just don't.
>> Yeah. So, there is bits, guys. And uh >> put that twig there. Just put my head off.
You see it's >> trust you. I said to Marie this morning, everyone, I says, "Watch that branch in front of you." She went, "Where?" And oh, she missed it. I'll never know. It's right in front of Ryd >> the Outdoors of Truth. How you doing?
Thank you everybody joining us. We are, if you don't know what we're doing, we are having a little bit of a a river walk today. There's lots of little bits of bottles. There's nothing brilliant.
>> Yeah, I've had some nice bits on.
>> There's a couple of bits that good. I ain't going to lie. But yeah, I mean, look at this. Look at this. So, he it goes to a bit of an island here. Look.
And Yeah. What? What's that one there?
That's stuck in the mud there. That one.
God >> again. Modern. Is it? It's modern.
What a shame. What a shame. But yeah, guys. So, look. You can see. Look. Look.
Just debris everywhere. Jars stuck in the mud. Pieces of old pipe. Stones.
More jars. Nats that we're getting a bit dered by. Uh more bottles.
And obviously this looks very dump here.
This looks like, you know, um we are This is one I didn't actually show in the video, but I So I had that out and it says not to be taken, but it's a screw top. Again, it's just not nothing we take home. But, uh, I'll leave that for the next person who might really enjoy that.
What you got there?
Is it got right now?
>> Well, it was down again. It's just plain. Look. Want to show you?
>> Yeah.
>> I want to show you.
>> Look in the deeper bits.
>> I'll be looking in the deeper bits. Get on. Hang on. Hang on. Hold that.
>> I'll put it in your pocket.
>> There's something there. Oh. Oh, it's another jar. Oh, >> I was putting all these aside. I did find this one earlier as well, guys.
Look at that nice big chamber pot. That have been beautiful if that corner wasn't missing. But we can't always have.
And that is a cod bottle top. Look where the marble sits. How you doing, Deb Johnson?
Uh, I don't know why, but Gail's getting uh scrubbed off piggy dippers for some reason.
>> What?
>> Um, the comments are being hidden. So, we do apologize, Gail.
Um, I don't know why it's doing that.
>> How dare they?
>> I know. How dare they?
>> It does that sometimes.
>> It does do it sometimes. It might It's silly. It's silly.
But we're we're not going to leave you too much longer, guys, cuz it's probably boring most of you. But yeah, look look at that. Now that's that's got some age.
Look, it's nice blue and white. Blue and white Victorian plate.
Blue and white. You don't get much that these days, do you? I don't see.
Oh, okay. Gale. For some reason on my end, I can see it being hidden. I don't know.
>> Are you doing James?
Uh, add it to show had to show him.
I know cuz it's weird, is it? Why it does that sometimes? Really weird.
But I don't know. I don't know. Oh, yeah. I can see a bottle from here.
You've missed. You walked right across it. Oh, it's another sauce bottle. No wonder you walked across here.
Cursy. I've got you a ton of sauce bottles, bab.
Tons and tons of them. I got How many have we got now? 23 and some teeth.
Um, yeah. Now, this tree here, now if this was caught on video, this would have been funny. That tree there where Marie is, it doesn't look deep, but when you go under the tree, it drop it drops down to your knees. Oh, that's a nice one.
That should be a scrubs.
Oh, it's a Is that a Fluid.
>> Fluid. It says >> flu. Oh, we are scrubs. I'm right. Is it scrubs?
>> Is it a screw top?
>> Hang on. It's a Yeah, it's a screw top, unfortunately. Screw uh scrubs.
Sterilized or something like Anyway, guys. Yeah.
Look at that. That's It's a shame in it.
I mean, it's not nothing I take. But that look at the old bottles, man.
>> Bottle here.
>> Another one.
>> Another one. Another little bottle.
>> Well, you know, you don't say anything appropriate in inappropriate, Gail.
You're one of our piggy warriors like the rest of them.
>> Yes, it is what we want. cod bottles or whip. We've had a I'm not going to say too much, but we've had something along the lines today of cod bottles. Well, look at that one. Oh, that's that's different, isn't it?
It's clear. It looks the bottom of the there. Look, it's clear. It's a nice little jar that little jar that M.
>> Actually, I'm going to keep that because look at that. That's really nice. Once I clean that out, it be see through.
Not now live, but when I get it on.
Yeah. See, see, we'll tell her back for a second.
Hello, Elizabeth. Lorna Kennedy, how you doing?
Um, now I know last time we come here, there was bits of cog bottles up here.
um all broken. But to be fair, if I do find any cod bottles, I do take them back as cut downs. As you seen on last night's video at the on the finds, I don't waste them. If I can make them into drinking glasses or and I'll tell you who taught me that >> science, my friend, my bro, >> he taught me. Well, I say he's the one who g me the idea to cut the cod bottle down.
something there.
>> Something there. Right there. Right there. See?
>> There.
That round thing in the side.
You've got to try it cuz it could be where?
>> There. That's it. Yeah. Is it round?
>> No, it's just a I think it's a branch.
>> Oh, it's a branch.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, see. I get myself too excited, guys.
Hello. Uh hello. I thought somebody said hello ET then. I know ET cuz I'm again.
Not the real ET.
Yeah, I think I'm going to take that and uh we'll find something to do with it.
But uh I'm going to make my way back towards my bay. We're not going to be long now, guys, because it is 6 Well, what time is it now? It's going to be half past 6 now. And uh we've got to get home.
Um but yeah, I hope you've enjoyed it. And you know what I mean? We're just literally I said to Marie, I says, "Let's show them what we do." And um if we find anything together, we find it. But we haven't. Well, then don't know. You got a button.
>> What kind of button is it? Not a brass one.
>> Common.
We need you with us to find the buttons.
She found a beautiful brass button on our video that went out yesterday, guys.
As you've probably seen if you not watch the video, beautiful, beautiful railway button from when the locomotives was on the tracks and uh it polished up really well to be fair.
Marie, can we uh get Jenny said no? It's too hot.
Too hot.
Oh, it's cooking. I've got me co on because it's burning the back of my neck.
Um, how you doing, Jim Ford? Nice to see you again.
But, um, thank you all for your support anyway. And we've I think I said something about with the 18,000. The way it's going at the moment, it's shooting up. We are I'm trying to get you the right way around. We are shooting up.
Um, so we have got a lot of new people joining the channel, which we do really appreciate. the bigger we can make the family, the better it is for all of us.
Um, it's not about money or subscribers in some respects, but the bigger we can the more we can get people on here and then the more people get to know more people and that's a good thing.
But, um, I say there's 18,000 subs. I mean, there's probably only 100 of the same. Come on. But, what's that there? I tried. I just spotted it as I was talking to everyone.
Oh, look at that. I thought I seen something. Look here. Let me show you guys. You see what I got excited?
Cobalt blue.
Cobalt blue. So, that's the side of an old.
That's the side of an old poison bottle.
And that would have been an old poison as well. That not to be taken.
>> Can't see for the sun.
>> Can't see the color on there unfortunately. Everybody, I do apologize.
Yes, poison. There you go. The outdoors of truth.
>> Uh, beautiful blue, but you can't see it. But >> yeah, >> now you beauties. Is my sister still on as well?
>> Well, I don't know. I don't have a cursy getting you peeky warriors. Love you.
>> Love you all. But I think we're going to go, guys. We need to get the bag back up the embankment with our phones in. We need to get back to the van which is about 10 minutes walk.
>> We need to get home which is about 15 miles. So we're going to go. Thank you ever so much for joining us. I hope you've enjoyed it. You'll you can see now what we have to put up with with some of these brooks. You're never going to get all the rubbish out of them.
Um, I'd love to spend a day if I'm honest just bagging up all the old bottles that we see and the bits of glass and just doing my little bit, but there's just that much.
>> Can you imagine that?
>> Oh, if I could w glass in, I'd be a millionaire.
But, um, yeah, if I could get it all out the brook, I'd love to do it, but it's probably just my OCD.
Blake and Cinnamon are here. How you doing, Cinnamon? Blake and Cinnamon, how are you doing? I am just about to go unfortunately, but um thank you for joining anyway. And if you if you watch the live back in a bit, you'll see what we was doing. We are in a stream in a stream. And there's bottles everywhere, but they're not.
>> There's a few nice ones come out >> which we've got in the bag down here.
Where is he? There >> in the bottle.
But um most of it is 1930s stuff.
>> It would have been a bottle.
>> Yeah, would have been a bottle. I don't like them words. Would have been a bottle. I wanted to be a bottle or a beer bottle.
I love beer bottles, guys.
Oh, we are. What's that one?
>> There. Right there. Right here in the Twin Stones. That one.
That's all I find. I'm tell you what.
I'm going I'm going home. I'm going home.
So, big love to you all guys. Thank you all for joining. Uh if you have missed the live and you've had to come on, please watch it back. You'll see what's in our streams. You'll be very surprised what's in our streams. Um it's a bit of a mess if I'm honest. But uh we've took a bit out because we're taking a bit back for our collections and you'll see them on the finds everybody. Should be an off decent video. It'll be a mudlocking kind of video. Um because we've been in rivers all day today >> with our history as well. We got some some nice little historic finds.
>> We have got some historic finds and if the one pans out to be what we think it is, then we've got a very very old find.
So, uh that'll be good.
So, love to you all. Thank you ever so much. Come and say goodbye to everybody.
Marie, >> bye everybody.
And uh like subscribe if you haven't already, guys, because we we we >> when Kirsty and Michael come back, we mean in business. We've said it for quite a while. We have we've got some good plans and uh we've got all the summer in front of us, which is so exciting because we can get in places like this.
>> That was a lost then buzz past my ear.
I >> got him. Hey.
>> Right. See you later, guys. See you later, buddy.
