Even the deepest pockets cannot bypass the cold finality of procedural law. This swift dismissal proves that while money buys influence, it cannot buy back time lost to a statute of limitations.

Oh, it's another bad day for the Trump administration. Elon Musk just got the worst news of his life. He was humiliated by a judge. Can you believe it? And Kash Patel going viral again from Jen Psaki who posted this yesterday. A montage of Kash Patel bragging about his drinking habits over the years. Let us take a peek.
Sundays are for God, hockey, and beer not in that order. [laughter] And I will resurface back on very early Monday morning.
>> It turned into flannel Fridays cuz I was having this beer and I was wearing a flannel shirt. And now it's this massive thing on online.
>> I'm going to be on the sheet, playing in a beer league, having a PBR, and then I'll return your phone call. Obviously, I'm kidding, but it was funny.
>> We had this tradition every night where he would call a final final. So, we'd have dinner and then we'd go somewhere and have like a final drink. Everybody should have a beer or three.
Um It's going to be pretty It's going to be pretty lit. I might have some special apparel. We are We're going to throw down. There's going to be bourbon.
There's going to be sparklers.
>> up in northern Italy and we were slamming Negronis at our like last night and I was like, "Devon, I need a subpoena."
>> I went to Devon and I told him that in the morning. He goes, "Dude, if you're going to start drinking at 9:00 a.m., get out of my office." Can I be the first one to say that if I ever go before Senate confirmation, they're going to call me an alcoholic?
His words, not my words.
>> [laughter] >> Now, the reason why they're doing that is because the Atlantic came out with a story about how Kash Patel has personalized bourbon stash. Here it is right there. And Kash Patel came out and said, "I'm not alcoholic." And yet We're back with a new controversy for the head of the FBI. The Atlantic reports Kash Patel has been gifting personalized bourbon bottles to FBI staff and civilian see encounters while carrying out his duties as FBI director. Patel recently sued the Atlantic which says it stands by its reporting over a different story alleging he drinks to excess.
MSNBC reported yesterday that the FBI is launching a criminal leak investigation into the journalist behind that piece, according to two people familiar with the matter. A spokesman for the agency denied that development. That reporter, Sarah Fitzpatrick, also wrote this latest Atlantic article. Let's bring in MSNBC justice and intelligence reporter Ken Dilanian. Ken, how unusual is it for the head of a federal agency to be giving out gifts like this? Branded bourbon. And what is the FBI saying about the reporting?
Anna, I would say it's fairly unusual for the head of any federal agency, but unheard of for the FBI director.
In part because the FBI has had strict rules for decades about drinking on the job, and it's a pretty straightlaced organization. Obviously, it's the America's premier law enforcement agency. You know, they wear white shirts and dark ties, or at least they used to.
And it's a pretty buttoned-up agency.
And so, this is being greeted with a lot of if if not alarm, perhaps discomfort among many many people within the bureau. Not everyone, but but a lot of people. And it's and it's sort of part of a pattern with Kash Patel of doing things that no FBI director has ever done. He's handed out so challenge coins with images of the Punisher, a cartoon character. He really sort of revels in the branding and the mystique of being the FBI director in a way that no previous director ever has.
Now, what's interesting is the FBI is not disputing this. In fact, they're saying that giving out these kinds of gifts is part of a long tradition at the FBI and consistent with ethics rules.
But a lot of other people have been telling The Atlantic Sarah Fitzpatrick that they again they're very uncomfortable about this. And they're put in an awkward position because if you don't want to accept a gift from the director Kash Patel, then where does that leave you? Does it Does it put your job in peril? That's the kind of thing that people are concerned about. Yeah, and I think we can all agree that it's not normal for this sort of thing to be happening. I mean, I know there's just so many things in this administration that are not normal and that we're so used to. I refuse to get used to it and Kash Patel also was recently it discovered that used Navy SEALs in two ports to transport and escort Kash Patel and nine other people on what a Defense Department email called a VIP snorkel trip next to one of the military's most sacred sites, the underwater tomb of the USS Arizona that holds the remains of more than 900 Navy sailors and Marines who died at Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Patel swam in the vicinity of the tomb for 30 minutes according to the Navy.
So, I'm so sick of this government just using all of our money to grift and to have fun and to create these lavish lifestyles for people who don't even have the skill, talent, or intelligence to be in these positions and yet we have to pay for them. It's It's just so absurd. And again, I just kind of feel like we should stop paying taxes if this is what we're going to do. I mean, what I would do is put the taxes you owe, put them in the bank account, you know, I'm not giving you advice, but I'm saying if this is what I would do. I would put the money in a bank account, save it, put it in a money market account, let it grow over time, but certainly save the taxes you owe, but I don't think we should be funding this The only reason why this stuff continues is because we allow it through our tax dollars. And I'm sorry.
What happened at Boston Tea Party?
They did that for a lot less. Why did the Boston Tea They were literally taxed 3 p per pound for tea and they created a whole ruckus. I think we're suffering a lot more and we're doing a lot less. We should change that.
All right, and I want to point out to that Elon Musk, you know, at least, you know, this is a maybe a positive story because though Kash Patel and all these cronies in the US government aren't suffering any consequences yet, they will, but not yet. Elon Musk is getting us a little bit of a preview of things to come because a jury dismissed all of Elon Musk's claims in a lawsuit against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. And Elon Musk, by the way, was just recently in China, and he was drugged out of his mind, allegedly.
>> [music] >> Look at this man. He is He is flying.
Woo!
Ketamine is soaring, baby.
>> [music] >> Just barely present. Barely present.
Okay.
Well, I wonder if he's awake for this because again, a jury did dismiss all of Elon Musk's claims. Says here, "Jury in California took less than 2 hours to decide that Elon Musk waited too long to file a lawsuit against his one-time business partner Sam Altman over the direction he steered the artificial intelligence company OpenAI AI since the two had a falling out nearly a decade ago. In a unanimous decision, the nine-member advisory jury said Musk was beyond the statute of limitations when he launched his case." The reason why this happened is because OpenAI is all in the weeds with OpenAI was a nonprofit, they turned it into a for-profit company, and Elon Musk didn't like that. And by the way, Elon Musk kind of just was salty that OpenAI was doing well, he wasn't involved, and Elon Musk launched his own AI initiative with Grok and all that sort of stuff, and we know how that all worked out. Anyway, so he basically fired filed a temper tantrum lawsuit, and he lost. Here's a bit more on that. Yeah, just this just in. According to Reuters, a US jury finds OpenAI CEO Sam Altman not liable to Elon Musk for straying from its charitable mission because and this is the reason given that we're seeing the reporting that Musk waited too long to sue which I think is perplexing us a little bit because we've been sitting here thinking well wouldn't that be a question you would answer on the front end apparently not but this is just coming at us now so Altman not liable I guess one of the questions that we'll get to right away is what difference does this make the fact that Musk lost in the courtroom here can we I go your direction first on that >> Thank you Brian Well it makes a big difference and it shows that these people are not completely invincible that laws are still real that decisions made by courts still matter and that the richest person in the world is going to have to eat and doesn't that feel good because we are learning all the time of all the corruption this government is doing it seems like powerful people who are in the Epstein files are powerful people who are doing things that are seemingly breaking laws in order to make more money and to give them more power and in turn give us less it's a nice moment to see that perhaps perhaps things still matter a little bit a little bit and I think there could be like a bit of nihilism in this country when it seems like awful people are getting away with everything it's nice to be reminded that actually things do matter and that we do have laws and laws are real and everyone has to follow them the richest person in the world and the poorest now I would like to live in a world where we had to follow them the same amount all the time we'll get there we'll get there we'll get there but this is a good start thanks for watching if you like the video please hit like if not subscribed, what are you doing?
