When pricing vintage collectibles for resale, sellers should research actual sold prices on platforms like eBay using sold listings and AI identification tools, rather than relying on listed prices, as these provide more accurate market value data. This approach helps ensure competitive yet profitable pricing for items such as vintage glassware, kitchenware, and decorative pieces.

Estate Sale With Vintage Glass Galore!Added:
Today, I am in Tucker Georgia for an estate sale. It's only a two-day sale and the pictures looked pretty good for this sale. I specifically saw a picture of a turquoise French bulldog figurine that I want if it's here and if it's reasonably priced. And they also have some Mikasa dishes in the strawberry pattern and I really don't need to buy any dishes, but of course I want to come look at them. So, let's head inside and see if they have anything that I could use in my antique booth and look for the turquoise French bulldog figurine.
Okay, these are the photos that drew me to this estate sale. [music] In particular, I'm interested in the turquoise French bulldog figurine on the top shelf that [music] you see here. It looks like perhaps alabaster or marble bookends behind him, a pretty elephant figurine, and a deer, and a dolphin.
So, that's what I'm interested in from this photo. And then this photo, look at this beautiful piece of furniture, this um buffet.
I am interested in what that yellow bud vase is. That looks mid-century modern to me.
And it looks like there's also some pretty bone china figure figurines on this. So, let's head inside the sale and see if any of these items are still here. All right, I'm in the kitchen and I really like this little milk glass decanter. There's a couple more milk glass pieces.
And some soup mugs. Those are pretty.
Lot of peach carnival glass and some pink depression glass.
This little display here. It's a pretty um candlesticks.
What is this? This looks It's a little handmade piece.
Um, it's very lightweight.
And I like the top, but it doesn't exactly seem to match. I don't know what it's supposed to be.
Here are the strawberry dishes, but they're not Mikasa.
At least not the ones I was expecting them to be. And here's a CorningWare casserole lid. This is a good find.
A hand-crocheted doll, I guess. I'm really not a wall hanging. I'm not sure what this is supposed to be.
Maybe just a potholder.
I'm not sure what this is, but I like it. What would you do with this thing?
It's two separate pieces.
Here's an Andrea by Sadek. I can't get the sticker to focus. I'm sorry about that.
It's not wanting to focus. Um, bud vase, I guess, for 75 cents. I'll get that.
The turquoise French bulldog is gone.
The little dolphins are still here. One of them has a broken nose.
They're cute, though.
Oh, here's some vintage children's blocks. These have some age on them.
But $15 is going to be cost prohibitive for me. Some really pretty vintage linens.
Vintage towels.
And more figurines.
Oh, dear.
Well, this is getting awkward.
A scary clown.
Okay.
Not too much in this bedroom.
>> [music] >> Here's an oil lamp for just $3. Um, I like this. I do have two of them in my booth already though, so I'm going to keep moving.
Some crochet.
Some vintage camera equipment.
This is my second spin through this room. The house is not very large, so I decided to give this room another pass.
Some artificial orchids. These wall pockets are lovely. They are by Hall.
You can see the signature there.
And they want $25 for the pair.
So this is all handmade rhododendron rhododendron wood Yeah. Furniture. Look at the headboard. And you can move that gold purse.
>> This is beautiful. So she's keeping her She's keeping everything in this room, right? Yeah. Look at this side table.
Yeah. The side table something and this >> And this >> and the dresser.
>> Oh.
So >> [laughter] >> you can just >> Oh, hello.
Yeah. You always have to go from the side. This is beautiful.
>> But isn't it amazing?
Yes. So Actually this is kitchen table.
That X means not for sale, right?
>> Yes. Do you want me to I can pull the blue off for you.
>> Oh, no, no, no. It's okay. Leave it.
But um and you made the table.
Wow.
>> And there's if you look behind the um checkout table, there's six chairs that match it. Oh, wow.
Lovely.
So just wild stuff. Yeah.
I wonder how old the furniture And when I It probably made in the '30s. Okay, wow.
So it's almost antique.
Oh, look at this old egg beater.
I like the red wooden top on it and this food chopper or biscuit cutter. I'm going to take both of these.
Here's some very, very well worn sifters.
What is this?
A label maker.
That's cool. I do not need a label maker. I just like the box.
Okay, I need to keep moving. I don't need this.
>> [snorts] >> Okay, more tools.
Um, the basement has a rather musty smell and that always gives me an allergy flare-up. So, I'm probably not going to hang out down here for too very long. But, of course I had to look.
Couple of lamps.
15 a piece on those.
There's the other one.
Um, look, glass still sells well for us.
So, >> [snorts] >> I'm probably going to get this.
Okay, so as I was saying, I spent $35 at this sale. So, these are Mikasa and they are called Diamond Fire. They still have their stickers on them.
They look fairly 80s to me. These were $3.25 and I'm going to price these at 20. I'm going to show you a picture here of recent eBay sold listings. So, that you can see how much these have actually sold for recently on eBay. Because just because something is listed for a certain amount does not necessarily mean they sold for that amount. Say someone put these on Etsy for $45 or something.
That doesn't mean that they actually sold for that much, and also, you don't know how long they've been sitting there priced at $45. So, that's why it's good to go to eBay and then filter the search items for sold. And eBay has their own little Google Lens feature, the little lens feature, where you click on the little thing that looks like a camera, and you take the picture within eBay, and eBay's AI will find matches, and then you can click on sold. So, I'm having to remember to do all of that.
Like, I'm having to retrain myself when I'm looking up things, because instead of clicking on Google or clicking on Chrome, I'm clicking on my eBay app, and then I have to remember to select sold items.
Okay, next, the milk glass vase out of the basement was free. It's very dirty. I'm going to put it in the dishwasher. I am going to price this at $14.
It's a nice, heavy one.
All righty, the ceramic vase, I guess. I thought maybe it was bone china, but no, I don't think it is. It's fairly heavy, and bone china is light lighter weight, isn't it? It has a hummingbird on it, and a lot of people collect things with hummingbirds on them.
I hope to get this in the booth by Mother's Day, because I think that this will sell.
It was just $2, and I'm going to put 14 on this, possibly 16. The roses are on this are just lovely with no chips or cracks anywhere. So, this is a really pretty piece. Okay, the hobnail milk glass decanter.
Now, I have no idea what this is. This is in the thumbnail for the video. I pulled up several listings of ones that said they were Fenton, but the Fenton ones have like a ribbing right here on the neck and they don't have the hobnail on the stopper. It's really nice stopper.
I'll just show you the bottom. There's nothing on the bottom. It's not marked, but prior to 1970, Fenton would have had a sticker and those stickers have become, you know, lost over the years on a lot of their pieces. So, I don't know what I have here. I could just have an Avon piece. So, I wanted to show you one listing here though that looked exactly like mine. This is from an Etsy seller and this seller says that she thinks that is Fenton produced around in the 1950s.
So, I'm not sure if I have a Fenton or just a fake, meaning an Avon perfume bottle here. Please let me know if you have any ideas on what I have here in the comment section. I did do some deep diving and read that Fenton does not have a pontil on the bottom and I don't know if what I'm feeling here would be classified as a pontil or not.
Maybe you can help me. There is definitely a rough circle right here, but it's not like some of the pontils that you see, which are very pronounced. [snorts] This one is definitely not prominent. So, there is the mystery milk glass bottle. Sure is pretty.
Um since I don't know what it is, I am going to put that is a vintage hobnail milk glass decanter or perfume bottle with a stopper and I'm going to price it at $20. I paid $5 for it. If you hear snorting, it's Bear, my French bulldog.
He's constantly making respiratory noises and that's one of the things that we're hoping is going to improve as a result of his surgery on May 21st is that he will be able to breathe through his nose and that he won't constantly be making respiratory noise, including snorting, snoring, >> [laughter] >> just constant panting. So, anyway, sometimes the noise you hear in the video is Bear.
And also Zoe, who for some reason is standing in the basement and walking around and meowing right now.
It's just never a dull moment.
>> [laughter] >> Okay, the next is this beautiful bisque box, heart-shaped box with another hummingbird on it. Also, this might sell for Mother's Day. This was just $3 and I'll put 18 on this. No, these little hummingbird beaks, I'm telling you, they are so delicate. So, if you can find hummingbird collectibles where nothing is broken, no broken wings, no broken beak, you found something special. Okay, next I got two separate pink depression glass cream and sugars.
These were just $4 and this sugar bowl is not supposed to have a lid. This one has a really pretty floral pattern.
Looks like big sunflowers in a panel.
I'll show you some eBay sold listings for these. They're not selling for super high prices, so they sure are pretty and I love the pink.
And then the second one, I like this one better. This one is called Cubist.
I just love the cubes in the glass. It was also $4 and I'll price it the same at 22. And I like the way the bottom on this looks.
So, all of this type is going to look so good in the booth together. Maybe it's sort of interspersed with, you know, some milk glass. Look really pretty.
Or these. All of this stuff is going to look so pretty together. All right, out of that basement which smells like mildew to me and I can't I just can't breathe that in for very long.
De- dehumidify your basements. I know we do. Okay. Um this needs a little >> [laughter] >> Should I put some WD-40 on it or should I leave it as is? It's very rusty. This was a dollar and these are going for high prices on eBay sold listings and I will show you here. I have to be realistic about what our customers are going to pay for something like this in our antique store and I'm going to try $14 on this. [snorts] I mean I'm seeing my kitchen so isn't this just easier than this?
>> [laughter] >> Anyway, it's pretty cool. And I guess that's an antique.
It's difficult to say unless you're an expert in antique kitchen utensils.
Now I bought all five of these. Show you close up.
I hope it will focus. Uh all five of these for $3. I don't know what these are exactly. I could not find an exact match. I'm going to call them vintage cordial glasses.
Okay, there's been a costume change. My little DJI Osmo Nano camera, I really like it but it overheated yesterday and so I'm back at trying to film this video on day two. So where I left off was these little cordial glasses. If I try to sell these as a set, they will probably sit there forever.
But if I don't sell them as a set, they will probably sell faster but then I could end up with just like one of them left.
Which don't want. I was thinking put about putting $5 a piece on these or maybe they're interesting enough to where I could just sell them as a set and they would move. I think that the green the chartreuse color is just flash painted on these. I'm I couldn't find anything that looks quite like them. And then this I misspoke in the video when I was shopping. This is not a bud vase, it's a sake pitcher. But since I don't have the sake cups that go with it, I guess I could just call it sake pitcher or bud vase. It's by Andrea Vaisey-Dexter and these are not selling for very high prices online. I will try $8 on this. I got a vintage apron in terry cloth.
It was in a free box and I love it. It's got pears on it. People like vintage aprons. I might just keep this for myself because when I'm cooking I'm constantly washing my hands and with this you have a towel wrapped around your waist. So it's super handy. I might keep this. And it does have a little bit of a problem right here which I think is appropriate for how old it is and how many times it's probably been washed. So I could stitch that back together and sell it or just keep it for myself. All right, coming down to the short rows here. Here is something I just picked up in the basement to help me carry my ornaments upstairs that I was going to get um cuz I got some Christmas ornaments. But this is a cute little basket. I paid a dollar for it and I'll put $6 in this in the booth. I might just put it some things in it for display.
And then the quick cut biscuit cutter.
These are selling for surprisingly high prices. I just think that people are into American made kitchenware, vintage kitchenware now because I just again, I was kind of surprised by how much these are selling for. The guy at the sale called it a cabbage chopper and I was like, "Oh, I thought it was a biscuit cutter." It is a chopper and you use it to chop up food, I guess.
So, I'm going to put $8 on this and my ornaments, I'm always looking for the vintage wooden Christmas tree ornaments because I put a small tree in my booth every Christmas and I got this one for 50 I got all the ornaments for 50 cents. So, this one and then a set of three snowman ornaments and they're also little bells.
So, these are super cute ceramic, nice heavy ornaments. I think these are 1990s, so not anything very old, but very cute. This is a set of three of them.
So, ornaments usually sell. Like these will probably sell for $5 a piece and something smaller like this, I'll probably just put $4 on it.
Super cute little guy.
A Santa with no beard. There's just something wrong about this.
All right, I will be back in 1 second with cat of the day and I also have some pet outtakes for you today as well.
Oh, I should probably mention as I was saying, I really love this little camera and I read the reviews and I knew that it was overheating for people.
I think it was just that that I was trying to do a clip that was too long and you know, I get really excited about vintage kitchenware and I just rambled on and on and I think that's why the camera overheated and then it shut down to protect itself.
But, it is a little concerning given that I was using it in the air conditioning. So, if I was outside this summer, most days here in the summer in Georgia, it's like 95° plus high humidity, I would imagine that it would create even more of an overheating problem, but I knew it when I bought it and I bought it anyway and I still really like it. So, that's my review of my DJI Osmo Nano.
Okay, cat of the day is this beautiful girl.
Say hello to Fetching Elka. Julie Climbs from Youngstown, Ohio shared this picture of the green-eyed beauty born to a feral cat in a litter where she was the only kitten facing a unique challenge. She has epilepsy, Julie explains. You wouldn't know it because she's now on proper medication and living her perfect life. Basking in the warm sun, getting her tushy scratched, and playing with her tennis ball. We're glad to hear the disorder hasn't broken Elka's confident stride. She's rocking it, confirms Julie. Okay, so this is Julie from Ohio.
And this Julie also has a silver tabby female who looks a lot like this kitty named Penny. I'm going to show you Penny in the pet outtakes today.
Well, hope you enjoyed today's estate sale trip and the information that I was able to give you during the haul. If you have any information what you think the white [music] milk glass bottle is, whether it's Fenton or just a fake, please let me know in the comments and as [music] always, I look forward to seeing you again in the next video.
Good morning, Bear.
Good morning, Ruby.
Good morning, Tom.
Good morning, Joey.
So, what do want to watch today, Zoey?
I'm watching Crazy Lamp Lady.
We're wondering why she skipped by all of the dinner plates.
Zoey, you only care about the toy section, huh? You don't care about the dinner plates.
>> [laughter] >> And there, you care about the dinner plates.
What you, Ruby?
You like the fancy teacups, don't you, Ruby?
Ruby is just extra.
This guy could care less about fancy china.
This girl says, "Whatever mom likes is what I like."
You're so pretty.
You happy?
Do you miss seeing me alone?
You're a sweet girl.
You're so sweet.
