[00:00:06]You are hit. P gun. On November 13th, 2025 at the SX gas station on Central Street West in Bagley, Minnesota, a law enforcement officer recognized 75-year-old Dennis Keith Hoy, a man wanted on outstanding felony warrants and attempted to take him into custody.

[00:00:24]But Hoy seemed intent on letting it end in violence.

[00:07:41]>> In the end, Hoy was shot after allegedly firing a flare gun at officers during the confrontation at his driveway. He was struck in the chest and later pronounced dead at the scene. Hoy was a Vietnam War veteran who, according to family, struggled with mental health issues linked to his service and had periods of not taking his medication.

[00:08:01]Records also show prior minor law enforcement contacts in earlier years.

[00:08:06]Following the investigation, the shooting was deemed legally justified and no charges were filed against the officers involved.
