London presents significant challenges for motorcycle riders due to its dense urban traffic, extreme heat conditions, and complex road infrastructure, making it one of the most dangerous places for bikers in the UK. The video demonstrates how air-cooled engines struggle to dissipate heat in stop-and-go traffic, causing engines to overheat and fail. Additionally, London's congestion charges, emissions zones, and constant surveillance create additional stress and potential penalties for riders. The experience highlights that while motorcycles offer freedom of movement, urban environments require careful navigation, proper cooling strategies, and awareness of local regulations to ensure safe and enjoyable riding.

Is London the Most Dangerous place for a Biker in the UK?Added:
I'm just pulled over here at the side of the road again. My bike just keeps conking out. Mine's dead. I'll never come to London again. Never.
Well, there's nothing I can do about it.
It's broken.
Good morning.
Post spin.
Now the challenge really begins. So, this is my £510 bike and this is my 400 exhaust. So, my costs have basically doubled and I've not even taken it anywhere yet. But if I can get this on the bike and it's all good and running properly, as I suspect most of the running issues is due to the hole in the exhaust, then I will still be under the,000 lb of our,000 lb cheap bike challenge. Or one of these studs are going to snap taking the exhaust off, in which case I'm in for a whole world of trouble and pain. Let's find out. So, I've been spraying penetrating oil on these studs and these nuts here pretty much since I've had the bike in the hope that these are going to come off a little bit easier. If they come off, we should be game on. If they snap, well, it's game over, really, because then we'll have to drill out the studs and then use a tap and die set to put new ones in. And that's beyond me. That's for a proper mechanic.
So, I'm just going to put light pressure on these and be gentle.
He's turning now. I'm going to move it back the other way. And basically, I'm just going to back and forth these. Just tiny amounts.
And I'm hoping that's going to break up the rust between the stud and the nut. I think that one's moving.
I think that one's going to be all right.
One down, seven to go. Patience is the absolute key here.
>> You're not one of them patient blogs, are you?
>> I am when I know how much trouble this is going to be if it snaps.
Well, I think that one's moving freely.
How do you feel?
>> I'm a little bit out of eight.
>> Yeah. Two out of eight. It's usually the last one, isn't it? It's always the last one that causes the problem.
>> Expected. Positive. Positive.
>> Yeah. Try >> [ __ ] >> That's not good.
>> What happened? That is gone, isn't it?
>> Oh, yeah. Well, that wasn't a good noise.
>> Maybe that was a freeing up noise.
>> Yeah. And I think we'll get some more oil on that.
My hope is that these have been off recently when somebody painted this engine block. That one's all right.
That's feeling good. Is off. Now, I often talk about this with newer bikes.
There's very little you can do in the way of maintenance and getting to know your bike. And I think that having an older bike gives you this extra layer, I guess, to motorcycleycling, something else to do. You learn a new skill. You get to know your bike much better.
I always quite enjoy this sort of stuff when it's going well.
I'm not going to remove that one cuz it's still taking the weight of the exhaust. I'm just going to loosen these off so there's a bit of slack.
>> Is that the dodgy one?
>> They're all dodgy. They're off. I think what's happening is I loosen one, it's putting more tension on the other manifold. That's exactly what I thought was going to happen logically. Not that I know anything about this.
>> Just waiting for the I told you so moment.
>> That's why you say you usually snapped the last one, didn't you?
>> Yeah, it's usually like that. Look at that. Number eight.
>> This is going well, is it?
>> Bet you feel like it just jumped out of place.
>> It ain't done yet. And we still got to put the new one on yet. We've not even opened the box.
>> But that's easy, isn't it?
>> Yeah. These things are never that straightforward, are they? Never.
>> 10 minute job.
>> Never. Here you go. We off. Look at that. And your super repair job.
>> That's top job, I'd say.
>> That went much better than expected. I was really worried about that.
>> Wait, I need to take a photo of you.
This is a great moment.
This is the equivalent of a man catching the biggest fish in his life. Smile now.
>> All right, let's see what's in this box, then. Better be an exhaust.
What's this? An IKEA exhaust.
Right. Well, that looks the part, doesn't it? Now, I've got dirty hands, and there's no way I'm going to do this job with a silly rubber gloves on. So, I'll have to put it together, and then I'll wipe it down before I start it.
Otherwise, I'm going to cook fingerprints and stuff onto it. Nice pack of Del Kevik stickers to cover up some scratches.
Obviously, we got the silencer and all the pipes and bolts and fittings and gaskets and all the rest of it.
Exhaust by numbers.
>> You might find the instructions somewhat if you're lucky.
>> Yeah, this is for me. We don't need instructions. Time for reassembling out.
So, I need to put these little gaskets in. Crush gaskets. I got the old ones out without any issue. So hopefully I'm just going to put a little drop of sealant on these gaskets and then hopefully they're going to stay in place while I start putting the headers on.
We'll see. This isn't really to create a seal. I'm just hoping that's going to help keep these bubbles in here. Now, unfortunately, either these pipes didn't come with new nuts for the uh for the headers or we lost the bag or something.
But luckily, I kept the old ones. I've had them in some parts cleaner for a while. So, I'll have to reuse these.
Pipe number three.
All right. You [ __ ] up.
>> What?
Your >> bracket go on first.
>> It would be too good if you didn't make any mistakes on this, would it?
>> Don't speak like that.
If I had to push that on there. Oh, I'm a [ __ ] mess. A >> brief scary moment. And it's almost on.
>> Hold this. Don't worry about the camera.
Damn, that's tight.
One down.
Right. See if we can find the lost spring. Is there one over there?
>> Found it.
>> Yeah.
20 minutes yet. You don't just get it like that, do you?
It's not how it works.
Before I got all these headers and everything tightened up. Everything's where it should be. So before I start it, I'm just going to clean it all off because otherwise you'll have all these fingerprints and once it's uh gets hot, it will bake it in and you'll never clean it off. So whenever you fit a new exhaust, give it a good clean down first and make sure to get all these stickers off from everywhere.
And again, something like this parts cleaner, it's what you want. A carb cleaner, anything like that, make like work of taking this sort of stuff off.
>> [ __ ] that. I bet you feel like a superhero now. Nothing has gone majorly wrong.
>> I'm not a superhero until we start this up and make sure there's no air coming out any of the gaps.
>> Oh god.
>> Yeah. So, this is the moment we're all waiting for. Let's fire it up. Let's see what this thing sounds like.
>> You in here?
Well, that sounds a lot better than it did before.
I'll just leave that a while to tick over. Let everything settle in. Cook all that paste off and then we'll give it a proper rev up and see what it sounds like. Let's have a little listen.
That sounds a lot better than it did before, doesn't it?
There is a baffle in this one I can take out, but honestly I think that's plenty loud enough.
I must say that I really enjoyed being with here with you here and looking how the exhaust system is done. There's few silly things that I thought was right but were wrong, but yeah. Well, like asking if the headers are hot yet and immediately touching it before I've told you, yes, they are hot. Yeah, that is a silly thing. Don't do that. That's one thing.
>> They are hot. Yeah.
>> But yeah, it was quite interesting. I think I could do this myself next time if I needed to.
>> Right. Well, the bike, as far as I know, is now mechanically good, but now it needs to be adventure ready, right?
Well, this lone rider gear is supposed to be universal. So, I wonder if it goes on a bike that was made 34 years before it.
Look at that. Like a glove, ain't it?
What's wrong with that?
>> I mean, it fits. It's going to be functional.
>> I'm happy with that. That's better than no bags.
>> Fusion of styles in here, I would call it.
>> Hey, we said we're buying bikes for grand that would do everything. And these bikes are going adventuring.
>> What else is motorcycles for if it can't go on adventure?
>> I mean, as long as it's functional, it doesn't have to look pretty.
>> Who says what's right or wrong? Now, we never actually cut the the straps on this because we always feel like, you know, we're going to be putting this on different motorcycles. And once you cut them to use, then there is a big chance it's not going to fit on some other motorcycle that you're planning to use.
I am about 2 minutes away from being properly packed. I tell you what, I am chuffed. Both of the uh bikes have got the full Lone Rider setup just as we usually have when we go off in any other adventure. and they look absolutely fine. This stuff is so modularly you can use it on anything. It's brilliant.
We're off on an urban exploration.
>> Well, we are going to London. I don't know whether our bags are going to make it or not. Of course, they are >> to London. We've got about what good 4 hours ride without stopping, which is obviously not going to happen. It's 9:00 now, which is pretty early for us. We're going to crack on, hit the road, and in London. We doing >> the bike shed uh annual bike shell at the tobacco docks. This is a a custom bike show where some of the best builders from all around the place are going to be arriving.
>> I'm assuming I'm not going to understand very much about bike builds, but I can admire all the hard work that's gone into it.
>> Royal Enfield have given shotguns to six of the very best motorcycle bike builders uh in and around the UK, I believe, and they've all built something special and it's all going to be unveiled tonight. So, we're looking forward to that.
>> That was a raffle.
>> Yeah, that's right. Yeah. also got some tickets on another um collaboration between Bike Works and uh Moto Pro, I think. A custom thing.
>> Did we get the tickets?
>> Yeah, >> we did.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, that's good. Maybe we're going to win one.
>> Tonight is the Friday night. So, tonight is the VIP night. So, we go along, we sort of um you know, get all the unveilings and that sort of thing. And we can film a little bit without music for YouTube.
>> Yeah, should be a bit more uh filming friendly. So, hopefully we get to see some stuff. Let's see if these budget bikes will take us all the way to London. This bike just sounds so much better. It rides like brand new as well.
It pulls like a bloody train, this thing. It's awesome. We failed to realize that this weekend is bank holiday weekend.
So, everybody's uh heading off and the A303 is absolutely infamous for it for this time of year. But I tell you what, I don't know about you, but I am loving my little bike. I have to admit I feel a little bit um bent over double. It is too small. Another adjustment I made on my bike is I just rotated the handlebars back a little bit. And that's um that's made a bit of an improvement, but I got to get some bar rises if I can.
The engine is buttery smooth. Really fun to sort of play with in the twisties, but yeah, sadly traffic has stopped play.
>> I think I'm enjoying this motorcycle, my Bandit. I feel like the left hand gets more vibrations. I don't know why.
Whether it's just a sensation, >> it's because you're leaning forward on it more all the time. You just need to relax and sit back as much as you can.
Take the weight off.
>> It's just a bit more vibe than a brand new motorcycle, which is to be expected, I think.
>> I'll tell you what's really good.
There's a product called Grip Puppies and that might do you well on that which is basically it's just like a a foam that absorbs vibration and you slide it over the handlebars and I've had great success with those before.
I absolutely love it. I picked well on this exhaust. It sounds awesome. I haven't messed with taking the baffle out or anything like that. I'm sure I will at some point. There were two options on the Delavic site. So, I got the the one that I've got, which is a longer one, and there was a shorter one as well, which said it would be more raspy and loud. And although that's good in the short term, when you go on long roads and long trips, it just becomes a bit of a drone after a while.
>> We've been riding on for about 2 hours with one petrol stop. And to be fair, I feel all right. Do you feel okay?
>> I wish my bike was a little bit bigger, if I'm honest. I do start to feel it in my knees and in my back a little bit. I do think raising the bars will make a big difference.
But um overall though, to be fair, I mean, we've done 2 hours. You do 2 hours on any motorcycle and you begin to feel a bit sore. Yeah, it's not particularly uncomfortable like that.
>> I think I'm cheating a little bit. I took two paracetamols before we left.
>> Such a grownup.
>> I knew this could be a problem. And it's about four, five hours ride today. So yeah, I took some precautions and uh we are now approaching Stonggh is famous for being always busy and there's loads of accidents happen as well because people on this road they want to have a look at Stone Hedge. Everybody slows right down in their car so the passenger can lean outside with a camera and that and take a picture and that's all that causes this uh backlog of traffic.
Luckily, they have put in this motorcycle lane for us straight down the middle, which is quite convenient.
>> We're just approaching the Stongh now.
You can see it in the distance. It's one of those places that pretty much everyone in the world knows what Stonehedge is. In reality, we don't have an exact proof what Stone Hedge was or who built it or where does the stone come from. There is loads of theories and uh not enough explanations, but it's definitely somewhere you need to visit at least once in your life.
>> It sounds fantastic.
>> Doing 2 hours and over 2 hours on a motorcycle like this is still pretty good. I do feel like I definitely would be aching a little bit, but it is still great.
>> Oh, I'm definitely going to be aching. I can't wait to stand up. See, should have taken some paracetamol. I >> tough it out.
>> Oh, what is he doing?
No, too tight. Well, we are at fleet services.
>> I always stop here because it's the last service station before you get into the really busy motorways of London, which is usually like a car park. Coffee time.
We're just uh coming into London now.
We've come into uh Richmond upon temps and we've entered into the uh ul area which is the um emissions charge for all vehicles going inside the London area.
And there's another charge as well if you go into central London, the congestion charge.
And I can't remember exactly what it is, but I think the total for a motorcycle per day to be inside central London is something like £25 a day with both charges, unless you go for any tunnels and things, in which case there'll be more charges. I've gone on to the Transport for London and you can register your vehicles to your bank so you don't have to keep going online and paying it. So they just take it direct out of your account. That's kind of them, isn't it? This will be though the first time we've been to London, our own capital city on motorcycles.
>> What I want to know is do you have to pay the same charges if you live in London? Because you shouldn't really.
You pay council tax, so you shouldn't pay extra charges.
>> I am pretty sure that you do. Yeah. And this is a huge problem. And if you're a workman or something like that and you're driving your van in the city, it's going to cost you a lot of money for the emissions charges and stuff.
Didn't you see the other day that somebody was saying that Europe as a whole is responsible for about 7% of global emissions? 7%.
>> And yet we've got probably the strictest rules. This is the first time ever for me riding a motorcycle in London. I've drove my car here a couple times in central London. Uh needless to say, I did get lost big style the first or second time. So, I'm kind of anxious riding in London because I don't really know the rules and this and that. What can you do? What can you not? But we rode in so many big cities. This should be no different and no more difficult.
You'll never know. This could be the first and last time we're riding in London. I would bet that there are more ways for them to find you here in London than there is in Bangkok or something for example. I don't feel anxious because of other people or it being busy, but I do feel anxious because you know you are so watched. If you take a wrong turn, if you stop in a yellow box, if you you know there's just 100 ways that they'll find to send you a ticket here. You got to be very careful. It also might be fantastic because we got these cheaper bikes now. So, you won't worry so much hopefully, no matter how busy it gets in London. London has its charm, doesn't it? It's one of those places that almost anybody, no matter where you're from in the world, would recognize from a few pictures. There's so many lovely buildings and things here. I'll tell you something I've noticed riding this bike. It is air and oil cooled and it is very toasty around my legs right now.
Oh, I missed London. It seems that everybody is leaving London for the long weekend. So, we've got pretty much no traffic. It's all good. And if we were to ride to our left, we would see Kensington Palace. But here is Natural History Museum where they have all the dinosaurs. That in there is an astounding building. I mean, it looks gorgeous just from the outside. But the things that are inside there, man, absolutely amazing. Museums are not always my thing. Not unless it's full of motorcycles, but yeah, that is one that is definitely worth coming to see. Black cabs starting to appear. So, that is the Victoria and Albert Museum. People taking photos of the red phone boxes. We take it for granted being here in the UK. We see them all the time at every corner, but tourists love the red phone boxes.
>> It is lovely. The posh London is one of the best things you can do or visit to be fair. Look at that car.
>> Wow. That's full gold. Oh, this is going We're going straight, Tommy.
>> Yeah, we need to move over left. Left after that.
It's so difficult to be looking on the road when you've got so much to admire.
Here ahead of us is the Harrods.
Anyone who loves shopping or not, you will know about Harrods.
There's a lot of beeping going on and I don't know if it's for me or what. It's a bit crazy.
>> Thing about London is it is a exercise in patience. It just has to be. There is no other way around it.
>> London for me a lot of the time is about food. Why? Because you can find the finest and the best food from every corner of the world.
My bike's just conked out. It is dead.
It won't start. I think the heat's done it. It's finished.
>> You have to push it.
>> Right. I've literally cooked this bike.
>> You can We can go there and you can push it. I have to turn here.
>> Yeah. Just keep moving. Find somewhere safe to stop.
>> How convenient. Right outside of Harrods. But there's only taxi parking.
Oh no.
Single lane. Maybe I can stop here.
Well, there's nothing I can do about it.
It's broken.
I'm just behind this white van. I don't know what I can do about this really.
It's just too what? It's absolutely baking. Bollocks. What a place to be as well. No stopping. I bet to stop it off.
I get a fine. Isn't this what happens to Harleyies? They overheat in cues and that. I don't think I can do anything about it.
All right, I'm back on. All right, get yourself ready.
Ch is I'm just going to sit in this traffic. It's just going to die again.
All right, I'm going.
Bite needs some air to it to cool it down, but we need to keep moving. I can't keep sitting in traffic.
What a place. I was hoping I got to walk around around Harrods once you try to fix it or cool it down.
>> Not this time.
>> Not this time.
>> Maybe that's the best thing to do. If the traffic gets heavy, then I'll just have to stop and let it cool off, I guess. I don't know what else to do.
I've never had that problem before.
>> You haven't rode this bike for long enough to have the problem, to be fair.
>> I've never had a bike that overheats in traffic. What a British problem to have being too hot. It's never too hot. Never ever too hot. This is the first really hot day since forever, possibly even this year.
>> Well, this looks plush over here.
There's an Aston Martin coming out the car park and a Ferrari. I'm really worried about this bike now. I don't know what damage it's doing letting it cook like that.
>> Let's just um the first place you see to stop. We should do that.
>> This is beautiful, isn't it?
What a place. Look at those flowers.
All these massive houses. cuz I wonder if they were residential addresses at one time. I can't sit in the traffic.
Keep moving.
Oh, it's gone again.
This is just going to kill this bike.
Yeah.
Oh, [ __ ] [ __ ] Right, me bike's been sat here for a little while. I think it's just too hot for it. But hopefully we'll be able to get to the hotel. It's 45 minutes from here, which is 4.9 mi.
Right, we got to do our best not to sit in traffic and uh let the old go have some air.
We have seen so many nice motors driving around here. Absolutely gorgeous. Here's what now. AMG, Mercedes. Look.
Come on, love. Going to try to squeeze in that car parking space. Oh, it's conked out again. This is no good. Look, I'm getting stressed here. I do not like this at all. People getting in my way over and over.
Um, yeah, I will lose you now.
[ __ ] [ __ ] me.
Sorry.
>> London is definitely a place to go on foot, isn't it? Absolute nightmare to drive. You need to stay towards the right. You're going all the way around the roundabout. Stay towards the right.
Woo.
Jesus.
Oh god. Okay, we got a green light. This is Hyde Park and we should be passing by Buckingham Palace in a minute. Oh, red light. Red light. That's no good for us.
We don't like red lights.
That was a dodgy maneuver.
Left.
All right, here we go. So, this is the central part now. So, you enter into the congestion zone, but this is where they do all the um parades and things, isn't it? Well, it's 20 m an hour here, so be mindful. It's Big Ben in the distance.
>> This is the the front of Buckingham Palace that everybody recognizes.
Very, very busy area.
>> Okay, we get a second of a view.
Oh, yeah. So, Buckingham Palace is just that building. It's a nice house and everything, but I don't think I want it.
It's a bit inconvenient being in the center of London, isn't it? Too much traffic for me. I'd rather live in the hills in Spain or something.
>> You lose so many things. You'll be forever looking for your stuff.
>> Yeah, right. Imagine losing your keys in there.
>> Cyclists, loads of people, more cyclists.
It's just lovely though.
Wow, there we are. Trafala Square.
>> Wow, I like this place. It's a lovely walk. This is just like a drive by, you know.
We're not actually enjoying the city as we should. Now, I mean, we've said this many, many times on our tours, which is why we tend not to come to cities on our bikes, that cities are best enjoyed on foot.
>> Oh, there is a protest going on. Look, >> what we arguing about?
>> I don't know. Oh, no. Someone is dancing. But someone else is protesting.
>> Bad dancer, is he?
>> Maybe.
Yeah, dancing going on.
>> This is where um people come and fight all the court cases, isn't it? where it's uh gone against you. I'm just pulled over here at the side of the road again. My bike just keeps conking out because it's just too hot. We've been going for so long now. We still got half a mile left.
Takes an incredible amount of time to get anywhere. There's no rush. Mine's dead. [ __ ] hell. This is [ __ ] [ __ ] I'll never come to London again.
Never. You can't stop or park or do anything here either, can you? You can't get out of this. This is absolute hell.
abandoned ship. What else can you do?
It's barely starting now.
Right, we sat there for another five or 10 minutes. The problem is that you move 15T and then you stopped in traffic again and the engine's just cooking.
Honestly, I want to turn it off and just push it to the hotel. This is unbearable driving here.3 miles to the hotel.
Right, I can see this place here is our hotel. this place called the corner.
>> God, that was a mission.
>> Yeah, as enjoyable rides go, that was not great.
>> Well, this is London for you. I did suggest to Rich that we should take a train, but he said it will be fun to ride our motorcycles. ride a bike in proper manner.
>> It's like that every time. We rode to Rome because he didn't want to take a plane. We rode to Poland because he didn't want to go on a plane. And it's just always like this.
>> Hey, it's not me and my bike that's a problem. It's everybody else. If they weren't here, I'd have a lovely time.
>> Yeah. And it's too hot out them all of days. It's really, really hot today. It >> is very hot.
>> Well, it's pretty secure at this hotel, I think. So, although anyone ringing the doorbell, we probably have the gate open. But we've got our hip lock locks. And then we've got bike covers, but we can't put them on yet because the bikes are too hot. So, now we're going to do the dreadful walk.
>> Just a quick glimpse at our hotel room.
We got to scramble because it took us much longer than we thought to get here.
Yeah, >> we spent 5 hours riding here today.
>> 5 hours.
>> It was hard going, wasn't it?
>> We had to have a shower when we got to the hotel. It Wow. But we made it. We just a little bit late. Just an hour.
>> We uh looked up to drive there. It was what was it? 21 minutes and to walk 18 minutes or something like that. So, we will be walking in London venue.
Some nice bikes parked up outside here already.
Hopefully, we're going to see some really cool custom stuff.
>> Surely we will.
>> We found our way inside the tobacco docks. It is absolutely massive here.
>> It's so easy to get lost, which we did, but been walking around a while, but we did manage to find an alcohol-free beer.
So, we're about to go down and have a look at the Royal Enfield Busted Knuckles custom bikes and they've all been unveiled here tonight. So, we should have 10 custom builds all based on the shotgun. I believe the 650 from all over the place by different builders.
So, this you'll all know to be the standard 650 shotgun. And all the bikes that we're about to look at now are basically custom versions of this. So, Eva's got our token here. So, the idea is that everybody gets a token when you come here and see these bikes. And we're all going to look at all the different builds that have been made for this uh this idea for the show. And then on Sunday, they're going to count up the tokens and see which one was voted the best. So, this one is uh from Crazy Horse. And uh yeah, as we can see, we got a nice Springer front and uh hard tail shot frame. So, this is the carburetor version of the shotgun engine. I didn't know that was possible.
I guess that simplifies it a lot.
removes a lot of electronics and stuff so you get that real bare bones look.
>> So this one is called the side gun 650 and uh for obvious reasons it has a side car attached to it. It's using a hon suspension shock between the uh the side car and the bike. This one is made by the vintage garage from Prague. So this one is the Royal Tribute from Unique Motorcycles. It's got lowered rear shocks on it, custom 16in spoke wheels on it, custom paint job, pipes, obviously got a belt drive on this one.
This one to me should be called the Bumblebee, but it's not. This is the Bat Cafe, and it's from KS Concession in Leyon.
Some funky wheels going on that one.
That's got the same tie as the hide now K60 Scouts as our does give it a bit of a unique look, doesn't it? This one's called Shan and it's from Moad Blazing.
So Germany, I'm guessing.
>> Very unique look.
>> Look at those wheels. Work of art. They are.
>> I wouldn't ride this. This is just You don't want to clean this.
>> Really nice switch gear going on there.
Everything really minimalistic. Cool bars. The exhaust system. Absolutely everything here looks to be custom made, including the foot hangers. And you can see that extended chain as well. They've had to put this one in the middle.
There's basically nothing left on these pikes really other than the engine that is the original shotgun. It's amazing what can be done with enough time and money and skill. So this one's the 1901 and all of this aluminium has been hand beaten. Every vill part on this has been custom made for this project. It's a proper one of a kind.
>> Well, it comes from Italy and Italians like to do everything in a unique style.
>> This is my bike. This one, you might have seen Moto Bob did a really good review on this one. And what they're doing is that there's 3,000 tickets for everybody that comes to the show. You can buy one of the tickets. So, a limit at 3,000. And then, yeah, somebody's going home with this. And I'm banking on it being me.
>> I really like that.
>> I think it's wicked.
>> Oh, look at that exhaust.
>> So, this bike is in collaboration of Bike Shed and Moto Works. So you can actually buy the kit, not in all if you don't want to. You can bring them your interceptor and then buy parts. So if you can't afford to have the whole thing done out in one go, you could go along just have stage one or stage two or stage three. And so that keeps you invested. So anybody now can have a custom bike, which I really love. And I really love the way this one's turned out.
>> One day I'll buy myself a Ducati.
There's just something about them. They such a work of art. Beautiful.
We had here the road skin and we're just talking about female clothing, how horribly difficult it is for women to pick something and what's the difference between single lined and triple lined. Basically what you got is with the denim on these, if it's a single layer jean with the with the denim actually has the kevlar woven into it. So if you see the green there, can you see the green there? Can you see the green on there?
>> So that green is kevlar. So that's woven into the denim.
>> Right.
>> Then we also put a bit of lyer in there as well, which makes it proper stretchy.
>> So this is a triple A rated jean. So you get a double AAA. AA being the best.
have to be a little bit careful because you also get level one and level two armor. Level two armor being the best.
But sadly, the way it goes, you can get AAA rated jeans. So, the best jeans but with level one armor. So, where you really want to be, AAA rated gene, level two armor, is the best you can get.
>> Right.
>> But that's a that's a Kevlar woven into the outer layer. Yeah. So, it's a single line gene.
>> With our caros, we do it slightly differently with a car. See the yellow there?
>> Yeah.
>> So, that's a line gene.
>> So, that's a line thing. So you got a kevlar line.
>> So this is like separate from the outside.
>> It's mixed sort of.
>> Yeah, it's a mix. So it's basically >> how many seconds would I slide till the bone on this?
>> It's a bane of my life. Slide time. It depends on how much you weigh. Depends on road surfaces and everything else.
The bottom line is if aa rated jean, you're going to slide for easily the length of this room. But you got to be careful because if it's a really rough surface, obviously it's going to wear through quicker than a smooth surface.
If it's wet, it's not going to wear through as quickly. If you weigh, we did a test with two of us in the warehouse.
Yeah.
>> Sat ground behind Harley's. You can see on our website. I weigh 16 stone.
>> The guy in the warehouse weighs 13 stone. He could do the same run three times. I could only do it twice before it wore out. Wow.
>> And that's a difference of three stone.
And we were going about in that about 100 m each time. So difference by 100 meters.
>> You hit something before you run out.
>> Well, this is why the armor to me is as important.
>> Well, the fatter you are, the more protection you need.
>> I wouldn't say that either. It's a little bit harsh.
>> Basically, a little bit of truth there.
Yeah. But thing is, in my mind, you'd be better off a double A rated gene with level two armor than a AAA rated gene with than level one armor. It's only personal view because as you know if you have an accident you're more likely sadly hit street furniture, hit a car, hit something solid. You're not going to be like Valentina Rossy and slide 200 y into a gravel track. It just doesn't happen. So the arm is really really important. But at Roadkin we only sell all our products only ever have level two armor full stop any game. We don't we have nothing level. hate that when I ordered something on sports bike shop from many different brands and the gen's nice but they include the cheapest possible armor, you know, like that outdated stuff.
>> You do realize if you have a AAA rated jacket, >> you can buy a AAA rated jacket with no back armor at all.
>> Yeah.
>> And it still passes AAA. How that works, I don't know. You can get a foam pad. I know the reasons why it's done because basically it's an upsell, isn't it? So, oh, you need DH that is another 50 quid, please. Yeah, you know, which to me is wrong. It's just wrong.
>> Morally, it's not the best thing.
>> No, that's why every single one of our jackets, level two back armor, full stop end game is standard. Every single one.
>> This is Rosekin's new double A jacket.
This is called the Dakota, which is quite nice. And I like it's got this mesh panel the entire length down through the middle. So, when it's hot, obviously, you can open that up. And same on the back. There's a a zip that comes across to let the air free. You get decent air flow.
Do >> you know what? You just tried the brown one and I think I like you in a brown one more.
>> They've got a lot of nice kit in they >> put the brown one on.
>> This one is the cold which is the AAA jacket now from Rose Skin.
>> Oh, I can't decide which one's better to be fair.
>> This one's very hipster, isn't it?
>> Oh, I don't know.
>> I guess you would have to decide.
>> This one is the Ranger, which again is AAA. But what's cool about this one Inside we've got this really furry extra layer, but it's removable, so you're good in the winter and in the summer as well. You can unzip that whole layer inside and it's just like the other brown one. This is the Rion armor. Look how thin this is. And you can actually see through it. So the air comes through, which is perfect for these more summery jackets. But what's fascinating is you can see all these parts here and how soft that is, how malleable it is, right? which means that it's really comfortable to wear and yet when you hit it hard it's absolutely solid. Wow. Wow.
Incredible.
So, this is the Dakota jacket which I was trying just now but we figured out that we think that these come up a bit bigger than they should be. This jacket is actually a size small and I do not usually take a size small.
>> God, I bet you feel like a superstar right now.
>> Of course I am. Yeah. J, listen. My advice is if you fancy one of these, I would probably size down, but I actually like this. I like the >> I think you should get it.
>> I think I've got it.
>> We're here at the Hitbox stands now, but hope you can hear us. Okay, there's a lot going on at this show. You just don't know where to look. We wanted to show you some of their products here.
Some mega stuff here. So, this is the uh the lot that we've got currently protecting our bikes at the hotel. We got the DX000. So, that's the bigger one of the two, but I think they're pretty much the same. I've also got one of these little fellas as well on the disc of my bike. So, it doesn't fit every bike, but uh yeah, it's working well on mine. What I like about it is you get this little reminder tag. So, it's magnetic. So, you take it off when you fit your lock, whack that on your uh ignition so that you don't forget the thing. They got a game on here. You got to spin it, get the code. You got to spin the the wheel and if your code opens the case underneath then you get what's in the case.
>> My go now.
>> Easy.
>> 451. You reckon it's zeros?
>> Yeah.
>> No, it's not 451.
>> Guys, this is Jake Hiper. And Jake is the fellow who supported us with the locks that we recently put on our bikes and keeping our bikes safe. And I said to you, a lot of people said to me, "Have I tried to cut one off myself?"
And he says he's going to send me one that I can have a go with.
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> And in the meantime, we're take one of these to give away back to the community and to your community and get their bikes locked up with the best locks on the market.
>> These guys really care, not just about selling a product, but about keeping the bikes safe.
>> Exactly.
>> You know, and you know that that's what we're all about as well. So, we're going to give this away in this video. Comment Hit Block in the comments below. You can also enter on Facebook and Instagram as well. Enter as many times as you like, but you must be following us on Instagram and you must follow Hitlock.

We're heading out now. It has been a fantastic evening here.
>> We've been here a few hours. It's almost 11:00 now. So, it's time to go. It's been great.
>> All the bikes here, all the people that you can just the passion from everybody you speak to here about bikes is so awesome. And honestly, I hope this video gave you a bit of an insight of what London bike should is bike shed show.
>> Yeah, the tobacco dock show. Yeah, I would highly recommend if you get a chance to come here. Really, really good.
>> Definitely.

We're going to walk back to our hotel room. We'll see you in the next one.
