[00:00:04]It's why does evil seem to win? Is that not not the most repeated question you get? Why is there suffering? Why do people not escape suffering? You know, the Bible has some things to say about it. Doesn't sugarcoat it. But for the skeptic, Koheleth takes you to the end of his logic, which is what? Grim, unyielding despair.

[00:00:25]Isaiah saw the what the preacher saw.

[00:00:27]Isaiah saw princes were rebels and companions the thieves. He saw rulers buying up land and pricing out the poor.

[00:00:34]Amos saw what the preacher saw. Amos saw the righteous sold for silver and and the needy for a pair of shoes. Amos saw it. Micah picks a fight with Israel's leaders. They turn greed into policy.

[00:00:44]They're coveting fields. They're seizing homes. They're dispossessing families of what they've earned by legal maneuvers.

[00:00:51]The difference is that the from the preacher and the prophets is not what they saw. They saw the same thing. The difference is what they did with it. The preacher says, "It is better for the unborn not to ever be born." And the prophets say, "We're going to tell the truth until the day the comforter comes."
