In 1988 in Paris, Miran Karimi Nasari arrived at Charl de Gaul airport but couldn't board his flight after his documents were stolen. With no passport or identity, he couldn't enter France or leave, leaving him stuck inside the terminal. What began as a delay turned into years, living off help from strangers and becoming known as Sir Alfred. His story inspired a movie, but even after global attention and offers to leave, he refused.
