[00:00:40]I'm going to throw a trout magnet. The color is called salmon fix. It's almost the same color as my shirt.

[00:02:11]So, there's some upstream wind and it's There we go. Now, we're moving a little bit. It was keeping me dead still.

[00:02:26]I got bit there, but it was when I looked down to readjust the trolling motor there and I looked back up and it was under.

[00:02:40]So, I have this set up for like a Provo rig. So, I've got a um There we go. Got a tippet ring [snorts] for my braid to my mono.

[00:03:03]Just get fixed here. And sometimes I get stuck in the eye of the rod. Not always, but every once in a while.

[00:03:21]I think I'm going to fish this a couple times right here before I drift on here cuz right up in there is where I usually get bit on the pink power bait worm which is this is similar. It's just shorter and uh yellow instead of pink. I did bring some pink ones of these though.

[00:03:45]Oh dang it. if I'm gonna like this or not.

[00:03:50]I almost took off that tippet ring for that reason right there.

[00:03:58]But if you cast it nice and easy, it goes [snorts] all right, we'll drift down through here. We'll just go. Was hoping I could get another one to eat it right up there, but I didn't use I'm not using the pink power worm just cuz I didn't want to.

[00:04:46]that upstream wind. I'm having to having to kind of force the trolling motor downstream a little bit here or force the boat downstream. Put the trolling motor Um, didn't really hear a whole lot of reports. I did hear one report from a couple that went on a guide trip and they caught them really good.

[00:05:34]Other than that, I haven't heard much yet this morning. It's like 11:30, I think, right now. So, reccast this. I'm going to get over a little closer.

[00:06:03]So, if I didn't have that tippet ring in there, I could cast this. I'd be able to cast in a mile.

[00:06:14]As soon as I go and try and put a little bit little bit more power behind the uh cast, that's when it tend that was when it was uh getting caught up.

[00:07:09]be perfect for the pink power. We're doing the same exact thing, just having the pink worm on instead.

[00:07:29]Yeah. See, I'm going to start hitting the bottom. There's that little hump is right here. If I can get on the other side of it. It's a little deeper, but kind of made it. [snorts] We'll see here.

[00:13:01]>> Yeah. So Monkey Island is downstream from the resort.

[00:13:05]>> It's the only other island down there that shallows up again like this. Fish that whole area real good with that. And you should get him right there, I think.

[00:13:46]>> I mean, the wind is just enough to where I mean, the water flow is not very much, so it doesn't take much wind to stop the boat. [snorts] I want to be over farther, I think, which I'll adjust here after I get this one back in.

[00:14:36]So, these trees right here, I don't think you can see them on the camera yet, but I like to fish real close to them as I'm going down.

[00:14:52]You got to keep you got to stay on this side of them a little bit just so you don't get hung up.

[00:14:57]But there's usually fish there.

[00:15:01]I'm opening my bail because I'm letting a little bit of line out because I don't want to pull my float. I want it to just drift.

[00:15:08]So if I have to adjust the boat and it starts to pull it, I just open it and I can my drift can keep going.

[00:15:23]When the sun comes out, I mean, it's the water is crystal clear right now. I do have on 4B, 4 lb Seagar ice, which is like 2 lb everything else diameter wise, but most of the time I've been fishing 3 lb of the ice. I just didn't have it when I was rigging, but I had the 4 lb real quick. So, There's one little guy.

[00:16:17]He almost hooked me.

[00:16:19]That was a little bitty guy.

[00:18:49]So, there's this bottom tree that I like fishing pretty close to.

[00:24:01]I don't know if I'll be able to do a whole another drift, but This time I'll start farther over that way, closer to the bank instead of starting so far out.

[00:25:14]lots of messed up props. People just don't understand that that left side up here where that creek comes out or short creek comes out, there's a big old rock. That's the second boat to hit it since I've been here.

[00:26:11]So, I'm not casting this with p a lot of power. I'm just laying it on the water behind me, then lobbing it. So, by laying it on the water behind me, the water is like uh water loading my rod, so it helps me cast it a little easier.

[00:26:28]I have to try and force it out there.

[00:26:46]Probably should have switched to the pink one, but it's okay.

[00:27:24]Oh, I got some line over the top of my reel here. I'm going to get bit doing this. It's what always happens.

[00:27:37]That is anytime you ever do anything like that and you're not paying attention, that's when you get a bite.

[00:28:07]I normally don't like do a jig and float and then move it just cuz I've always done better just dead drifting it. [snorts] But a lot of people do better moving it a little bit under the float just with me. I haven't so I don't do it hardly at all.

[00:28:38][snorts] Trying to get on the other side of the shaw here cuz that shaw's right here and then it dips down. I want to be on the other side of it. Hopefully I can drift through there and not get on the bottom like I was that first time when I was coming through. Getting the bottom.

[00:29:32]Before this tree was here, I used to fish right through there. Like, I'd put the boat a little bit closer and fish down that bank cuz it's a trough right there.

[00:45:09]I'm going to see if I can see it. The water's really clear, so I'm thinking he at between him and I. Um, it hit something and just snapped it cuz he was on the bottom and running.

[00:45:26][laughter] So, that float's probably wrapped around something underneath him. Maybe in this tree.

[00:45:38]And he was hooked in the mouth cuz when he was coming a little bit that first before he took off he was my line was going right to his mouth.
