[00:00:00]>> Hello gamers. Welcome back to console copper to champion where I go solo queue to champion. I mean, we're gold one already, so the progress has been amazing. But as I play these matches, I'm also going to explain my thoughts and my plans so you can learn to think like a champion, understand the game a little bit better, and hopefully have some more success in your games as well.

[00:00:17]So, got a pretty decent lineup. I'm feeling pretty good about this. Made a bit of a soloulless room. Just reinforce all our, you know, walls, our main walls, the default walls, you know, get our little sight setup going. The one wall a lot of people miss is this one in the corner of Hookah, which basically just allows him to take 90 control and then spray through Hookah here, which stops you from, you know, denying um that aqua side push. So, it's actually really, really strong to take this hallway if you notice that people aren't reinforcing that consistently in your ranks. Anyway, we're going to head downstairs. We're probably just going to play for some sort of plant denial, but also we want to waste as much time and hold as much space as we possibly can, which the Rome game is an excellent thing for doing that. Just going to hop on these cams, see where they actually spawn. Nothing service side or front door, so that helps us out a lot. Sounds like there actually might be one out there, but I'm not 100% sure. Just looking for drones right now. If they do go to this awkward pel, we could actually impact out of this. Going to wait to see. There's that drone. Wow.

[00:01:09]Somehow we missed that. But hey, it's gone now. Slightly concerned if they come. Sounds like there's one side blue bar. He might be coming. Sunrise. I'm just going to fall off of this now that we got the drone. They might start to react to me down here. They just reposition.

We're very, very kill hungry on this. So, there's that drone. So, we can rotate off that. And again, because we know this lobby side's clear, a really good position to uh safely retreat from that, right? So, that's just the power of checking a little bit of a default cam there, boys. So, now we've just given up that space. That's fine. We've wasted a minute and a half, waste a couple drones, and they still don't know where I've gone, right? I could still technically be downstairs somewhere, and they might waste even more time looking around for me. So, that's a lot of value. It's a very effective roam. And because we're alive and didn't die, we're able to actually rotate down later to deny a plant still. So, really really like where we're at right now. Just going to hold this hallway for any walk up. Wow, there's a guy in VIP the whole time. Where did Ash come from? I mean, Rook was there, too. I don't even know.

[00:02:34]Whenever we feel like we can go back downstairs, probably going to wait till the last like 30 seconds since that's when all the, you know, diamonds seem to finally push into the bomb site. I'm just going to force a plant. If they can't plant, they can't win, right?

[00:02:47]I am actually just going to impact this just in case they start pushing through the site.

[00:02:53]Put this scanner on. See what we can find. It's just brim beast for now. We can actually ping that drone. Never mind. It's gone. Just going to see if they actually are going for this plant, but they're not yet. So, I know I'm pretty safe to just post up here. Oh, is a guy in VIP? Wait, wasn't Rook there?

[00:03:16]Probably could have just rotated back down white. I was thinking that somebody might still try to lurk up that staircase, but this is good. The team's finally pushing up. I'm surprised they didn't go go for a plant off those bees, which is really why I was confused why waited so long. It's 2v1. Nice retake.

That is the first like actual good plant in retake that I think I've seen in these diamond ranks. So, that makes me happy. That makes me excited. Might be some more competition on the rise, which I am looking forward to cuz it's felt a little almost too easy, like suspiciously easy. And I'm like, is this all console players have to offer? I hope not. So, that that gives me hope. Uh they use the grim actually very very well there. I wouldn't mind banning the grim. The Jana was okay. Okay, I'm I'm So where did that Jana clone come? So the Jana cloned he must have cloned from the roof, dropped it down, and then cloned Aqua that way and then rotated around to penthouse, which makes more sense. A lot of rotating going on, which hey, it worked. It worked on me. It rotating doesn't work as well on PC. Somebody asked me this one time in like a Tik Tok com or something like, "How come you always like push? Why don't you ever like rotate somewhere else?" And the reason is because like you can just hear so much better directionally on uh on PC. Like if if you rotate, they're going to know at least if they're like, you know, half decent players. We could play the uh two bro here. We already have the tub. Um I honestly don't mind picking like a Valk or something going below. I think we'll do it with the mute. We'll play the C4 below so we can stop the plant from below. We can still again waste time on that ro, get rid of those drones. Uh be pretty impactful. I don't want to overcommit though. Uh, like I'm not going to bring my mammers downstairs. Like that's not going to do a whole lot for me because they could just kind of walk through on me anyway.

[00:05:09]So, we'll set up the site. We just want to reinforce the site, make the site a bunker, make it harder for them to actually get into the site. They can't get into the site, they can't plant the bomb, they can't plant the bomb, they can't win the round unless everybody throws and runs at them, right? Which unfortunately happens most of the time.

[00:05:22]Um, we'll mute this off. That just mutes the uh bathroom, the bathroom hole. So, if they try to drone from bathroom, they're not going to get as much info on bombsite. And again, we're just trying to be like, "Hey, you want a drone?

[00:05:31]You're going to have to put some work in in order to do it. if you want to get accurate info. Otherwise, you guys are going to be guessing. And if you're guessing, a lot of times you're guessing wrong. Now, we could actually, now that I've set up those jammers, I think we should actually set up a side. If we set up hookah side, we can actually, you know, mute this off so they can't drone mute off our cool vibes and actually play around the cool vibes area. Might be more effective than playing kitchen.

So we know nothing coming Aqua, nothing coming. Uh potentially one coming Sunrise. cuz I think he just shot the sunrise door down.

[00:07:08]Even though they rotate around from VIP, which if they do that, I could get into hookah and actually contest that outside door. I think that's a pretty good idea just because somebody's probably going to try to rotate here late based off their last round. I'm thinking, okay, so they rotate late.

[00:07:25]>> If they're struggling to get into the site, they probably try to rotate around here, thinking I've left or gone somewhere else to support the site. So, we'll just hold it for now. I mean, we have the man advantage. There's no need for me to leave. And here he comes.

[00:07:41]I mean, why would I be here, right? This is just such a strange spot to be. Makes no sense. And we have the diffuser. So again, just simplicity is the name of the game when it comes to defending.

[00:07:52]People over complicate it so much. Like we saw what they did last round, we adjusted, accounted for it, and now we have another easy round win because we've just adapted to how they play the game. So we got the diffuser. I mean, we could just give this up at this point.

[00:08:05]Oh my gosh, this guy's running out on the guy on the brereech. They're still on the brereech even though they don't have the bomb. 5v1. We really should play this smart and play this safe, you know, knowing that our team will probably throw. But let's get it over with. We know we're going to win this round regardless.

[00:09:02]>> It's so funny cuz it's just so much easier to whiff on console. Like you see it even at these top ranks, just like full mag whiffs, which is very rare in PC. It happens in PC, you know? I do it too, but it's very very rare, especially like through a wall or something. Um, where it's like you see their legs, but you can't see their full body or whatever. But right there, it's like full TCSG. It's just so it just makes puts a little smile on my face. It's a little goofy. All right, who do we ban here? We could ban literally anyone. I don't know. I didn't even click in time, so doesn't even matter. We're up 2. Uh, we could could totally lose this round.

[00:09:34]Like, we really should be locked in and be like, "Hey, we got to ban, you know, Ram. We're going kitchen next." Like, we should be focusing on the next round, especially when we have all that time in that 5v1. You know, that's just more time to plan for the next round and what you want to do, which I need to start getting ahead of the curve because I've been slacking in my strategy department.

[00:09:49]Uh, we could play top or we could do a Sunrise Hold. Honestly, I kind of want to play like someone fun like an Orics or a Fenrier or something. Maybe an Alibi. Do we do the Alibi? Do we do the Maestro? I don't know. Let's do the Alibi. Oh, let's do the Thunderbird, man. Oh, it's too late. I missed I missed it. I'm sorry. I got your hopes up for nothing. Put the alibis down. Um, I'll just put them around. What do you want to do? What do I don't know what they're going to do, but I don't think they're going to do anything good based off what we've seen so far. I mean, they opened up one wall. This is like the emerald problem I was talking about uh la in last week's um emerald guide is like emeralds will just >> sit and wait and do nothing and then eventually they just rotate. So, it's just like if you just like kind of hold your spots, they don't have a second part of their plan. So, their initial plan there was like, okay, we're going to thermite the wall. But then the question is like and then what? and then they just leave and go somewhere else and hope it's clear because they open up one wall and you know it's a pretty it's just it just doesn't work because eventually you're like oh they're just going to they're just never going to push the bomb site so we just make them run out of time every time and there you go you've won an emerald. Um so anyway that's a pretty effective plan. I'm going to start just uh >> sunrise side put put a prisma for this doorway. Very good prisma. Do some footooth holes on this.

[00:11:09]Hopefully, they have a drone on it. And then when they shoot that, I can actually peek from the office door potentially. Or I could just replace the prison with myself.

These outside cams tell you where they are, right? If nothing's south and west side, they all have to be north and east, right? So we can just rotate our body over there. We have that glass. They might be going for a direct sight take. If they take the site, it's not looking good for us. So I might just open this doorway and get ready to I might just run out right away. There we go. That's that glass. You see them on the repel a lot of the time.

Like, I know you guys want to see the console series, but like truthfully, console players are so bad at this game that it actually is the one thing that actually annoys me is just like sitting round after round to a guy baiting every single game. I'm pretty sure I'm on like a 10 win streak and I'm still just annoyed because there's zero competition and it's so pathetic. Like, it's like you guys need to do better. We need to do better console players. Two of my deaths are just running at the last guy cuz you're so boring. You know what I mean?

[00:13:55]Anyway, that's my little rant. But, you know, the difference is uh I'm going to be a console champion and then it's going to be fine. It's going to be fine once we just get out of this like emerald diamond ranked and we start playing consistently champs. But then again, on PC, you do play a lot of diamonds and emeralds, even in the champ rank. So, you know, this might just be it. This just might be console, guys.

[00:14:18]Maybe we'll go back to Think Like a Champ for a bit. I don't know. We got the got the test server coming up and stuff, too. So maybe we can get into that a little bit. We'll see. We'll see what happens. Um let's lock in for this round. Let's show you guys a nice little strategy. Let's give you guys some tips and tricks. All right, you're attacking on coastline. One thing we can do that's very effective is open up that quad wall from the roof. Uh because it basically just cuts off all of billiard side and it makes taking aqua really really easy.

[00:14:45]And if you have aqua and you have billiards, you can plant the bomb behind the bomb and it's very safe. The other thing we could do is just super super pound uh hookah. So we could bring like a Flores or Ying or Grim and just blast all the hookah and our teammates can hit from other directions which is really effective too. Um so we got options guys. That's all I'm saying is we got options. I'm going to see what my team is doing where they're spawning and see if I can just be this like little pinser maneuver. I kind of like maneuver maneuver. That's it. Um I kind of like going here. You see the the U Monty and the Calli both going Aqua side. This tells me they're really going to be working hard for aqua control. So if I go underneath I could bring a buck here which could be kind of fun. I don't think I've played Buck yet. Uh we do have the Soulless below. So that's one concern. Maybe if I brought like I would I would recommend a Nomad here but he's already picked so it's fine. I'm thinking we could probably buck this Aami out from below. Downsides we can get flanked really easily especially if the Souls is downstairs. Um, and also like she might just run away from the bucks, you know? She might just run away from the skeleton keys and then yeah, it gets rid of the position, but it's not doing a whole lot. And I don't really have much backup options if that's the case. Check my spawn kills. You should definitely do this on coastline. A lot of spawn kills on this map. You see this guy running out the door here. So, just going to wait. I'm just literally just going to wait. Actually, I'll go shoot the I'll just go spawn a different way.

That's just the difference between emeralds and diamonds right there, I guess. Let's get into another one. All right, gentlemen. We've officially made it to platinum 5. Let me know if I have surpassed your personal best console rank within the past 5 days. Uh, because I have kind of just smashed all of these together in a few days. Um, yeah, I've been grinding, guys. I've been on the console grind.

[00:18:00]We're back on Border. We're starting on attack. Um, I'm trying to think of just like a cool little strategy we could do.

[00:18:10]I haven't done the ram strategy into office in a while. Oh, actually, gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen. We're going to bust out the Amaru. How does that sound? I have not done this strategy, I don't think, ever in a Think Like a Champ, but I haven't done it in a really long time, but I think it could be nice for you guys. So, I'm going to bring the G8. I am gonna bring the SMG11 because I don't think I need the shotgun.

[00:18:34]Actually, the shotgun could be useful, honestly. I'm gonna bring the G8 just because we had an IQ round on Oregon a couple days ago and uh that was nice. It was just nice. The G8 is just super good on console apparently. So, what I want to do is I want to try and come up this office hatch. If I can get into the office hatch or up the office hatch, sorry, safely, I can then kind of walk through found just start pounding the site really fast. But I want to make sure I have the right info to do it. So my first drone here in the in the prep phase, I want to get underneath in that bathroom tellers area. I want to know if it's safe to firstly get into there. And actually, now that I think about it, I am going to bring the shotgun, which I I don't know if I have it on right now or not because I want to come in through the bathroom wall. I can basically shotgun it. Yeah, I do have it on there.

[00:19:15]So I can basically hop in this window, shotgun through the wall, and instantly get under the hatch. And from the ground here, I can throw my second drone all the way up to the roof, which will then allow me to see if office is clear from the skylight. So, I'm just going to leave my drone here. This is basically just my info right here. Actually, you know what I can do? I can actually put it into like bottom lobby here. So, I'll see if anybody rotates in the bathroom.

[00:19:38]The only problem is I have to bring it back. I don't know. I think this is okay for now. Uh because technically there could be a guy that goes and hides in bathroom. Would be a little bit weird, but I think it'll be okay. I'm just going to move it to vent actually. That way it's close by and I can quickly drone it out before I actually hop in the window. So this is a basically a Maru strat, but it's gonna be very very safe. Right, we're gonna wait for the right moment to do everything before just like running in doing it and just hoping that it all works out. We're have the appropriate information using our drones to make it work very effectively.

[00:20:06]And actually, you know what I'll do first is I'll also open up this archives door. So this will actually distract the archives players a little bit. So add more pressure to the site directly, you know, make them worry about that a little bit.

[00:20:16]>> So we'll hop off this repel. We got a drone on the roof. Got a drone underneath. Oh, our drone on the roof fell through the skylight. That was an accident. Uhoh. Oh, get there goes our plan, gentlemen. It's fine. We can still get into the bathroom real quick here.

[00:20:36]>> There we go. So, here's our hatch. And if our team just hits a site, we'll just go, right? Cuz that's going to be a lot of pressure on site. We can take a lot of that pressure away by flying up the hatch. Let's go see if we can figure out if this guy's still in office. He's probably not in office at this point, but the more info the better. 4B2. Let's see what we got going on.

[00:21:05]And now we have this control and this guy's stuck into sight. Now it is a warden. Probably going to turn into blasted on from that. They got a Val cam on me. I'm gonna look around for it. I'm not sure where it would be.

Unfortunately, everybody died, which obviously makes things a little bit harder. We don't need this flash cuz it's a warden anyway. Let's see if he'll peek onto me here.

[00:21:47]Wow, crazy play by the warden. Literally no reason to do that, right? We're pushing into these choke points and we're at a huge disadvantage. This guy's just this guy's just running into the middle open for no reason. Like he could just sit here with a shotgun and we're just kind of Wait, was that other wall not reinforced? Was that a soft wall on archives? Could have made a rotate there. I think it was. Oh man, could have just made a rotate into sight.

[00:22:07]Okay, I was too busy looking for val cams. All right. Well, Amaru strategy it was okay. You know, I think some hard breach tools would have been nice to open up that back wall, which is something, you know, Amaru has. I was more thinking like we're kind of doing a bit of a backstab. Like, we're probably not going to be in a position to actually use the hard breaches. And because we're kind of doing it quick after getting that info and going up the hatch, you're typically, you know, flashbanging the guy and going in just because it's awarded, we can't just like flash and push him. Uh, so that made us hesitate a bit, but normally I think the flashbangs are still the right call. So, that's probably what I'd still stick to with that. But hey, there you go. Little Maru strategy. Hope hopefully you liked it. I don't No, I don't play Amaro much obviously. Who else do I play? Knock.

[00:22:43]Zero. Uh, Zero might be fun. I haven't played Zero much on console, but he's actually not too bad on border. So, we'll see if we could do something with that. Like CC flank we can really lock down and then we can even go for that main wall. Uh, the other thing about Zero on console is because audio isn't as directional. Like, it's not as accurate. Like like uh PC audio is so precise. It's so good. Um, but console's a little more difficult, but that helps us play zero and, you know, actually get the cams to be effective and shot less because they are, you know, harder to hear. So, maybe we'll do something there on that 1.6 1.3 win loss. Still have not lost a game. We're on a 10 win streak now, which is pretty good. Uh, going to go drone up into sight. Are they customs or the K just run downstairs instantly?

Like, this the problem with that is like the second you play anyone who knows how to counter a spawn peak, you instantly lose all the time. So, like firstly, if you're getting spawn peaked all the time, learn how to counter spawn peaks, which means, you know, like we saw in Coastline, using our drones out of spawn to figure out where they're peaking from. Uh, also just playing shields. Like you can just run down spawn pe if people are fully invested in spawn peaking and not in their sight setup and actually playing space, you can just bring a shield and just run at them and then they just die, right? If you're spawn peaking and I'm blitz and I chase you down, you're just going to die. Um and you're not going to be able to shoot me because I have a shield in front of my face. So like if you're getting spawn peaked, firstly counter it. You know, just invest in killing those guys because you can see like, okay, it doesn't matter what their setup is and what their strategy is. If four of them are dead, right? Four of them are dead in 30 seconds. It's going to be a 4v1. We just gang that guy. uh unless he hits like a crazy clip, which happens a lot less often than the fact that we win. So, pick the ops, counter the spawn peak, go from there. Like, that's my best advice for dealing with spawn peakers. And if you're the guy spawn peaking all the time, just realize like this is very easily countered, right? I don't Do you guys ever see me spawn peak? Like very very rarely. Like maybe once in this series. Well, I did once because it was recently and it was on console. But that's not the point. The point is you got to be careful about it.

[00:26:42]You got to be careful about it because it is a high-risisk, high reward play style, which if people know how to counter it, you might be in for some trouble. So, I'm going to get my drone on site. We might be able to just hit the site window. I mean, again, most important part of the map. If you can take the sight for free, do it because that's all you need to win around, gentlemen. So, we have this Ella, we have the Legion. Honestly, should be pretty easy to just hop in the sight window with like could do the Blackbeard cuz we can nade the stuff off the window and then we can still push him with the shield. I I kind of like the idea of the thinker, though. kind of like that idea.

You know, we saw our team just running through the map, including myself a lot of those rounds, but because they're picking warden Valk Vigil every round, they don't have those traps, which are like super super strong. Um, we definitely want to set up archives. This is probably where I'll kind of hunker down with my echo cams.

So that's something we can check safely and then we can kind of figure out, we can also move that office cam around if they're not pushing office side. So based on where they're pushing, we will uh kind of adapt and adjust. So I think actually Whoa, I don't know how what happened there. Definitely want this one for CC off the start. I I don't love using my boost if I don't have to.
