Immigration policy changes can create significant uncertainty for green card holders, potentially requiring them to return to their home countries to adjust their status, which raises concerns about income, shelter, and financial stability during the process; therefore, immigrants should make provisions back home such as purchasing property, investing in businesses, or maintaining savings to ensure they have resources available if circumstances change.

Where are we going to adjust our status? | the uncertainty |@SHARINAMERICA追加:
Hi everyone, welcome back to Sharon America people. Quick and fast. So I got a call from my friend the other day. She was asking me, "Sharon, you hear the news, the new immigration news?" Me say what? Cuz I never hear it you know people. Me never hear nothing. So she said go search it up man. Me say anyone tell me no man cuz you know me they are work man tell me. People, she was telling me about the new the new immigration policy. People, I don't know if it's coming effect yet or it's is something that they're proposing. I don't know. I want you to come on this platform if it's in effect as yet or it's something that they're proposing. So I'm asking to come in the comment section and tell me about the new immigration policy if it's in effect or or it's something that they want to put in place. But people, as far as we may know is like the immigration the green card holder are in trouble.
Why people? When I tell them that I'm making a preparation for Jamaica so anything happen I have something they won't believe me you know.
Listen me people. I'm telling all you immigrants who are in this country make preparation if something happen or you can go back on your country or you have something out there.
Or you buy them a little piece of land, fix up a little house. If your mother or your father or your granny or whoever dead left anything out there or even if they're alive and you guys have something out there put on a little one room, put on something upstairs because a lot of uncertainty is going on. Can you imagine you come on your your student visa, your work permit and there is so many uncertainty as as to what is going to happen?
And those marriage based green card holder, you don't know if you can adjust your status. They want you to go back to adjust your status. Can you imagine if it's somebody that you to get your papers?
Right? Can you imagine if you give them a little percentage already, you have some more left for you, and you go back over there. Can you imagine if they change their mind and don't want to do it again for you?
Can you imagine if you don't have anything in Jamaica, you don't have nowhere to go, but you still have to go out there to adjust your status? What are you going to do?
Huh? Where are you going to stay? What are you going to use to sustain you?
What income are coming in for you to to have out there while you wait on your adjustment of status? People, those are the question I'm asking today. If this law really coming to place, or if it's already on the table, and they're just waiting to implement it.
People, as I said, I don't have information. So, whatever information you have, put in the comment section so I can know more about it cuz this thing got me worried. Can you imagine those people that come over here legally, but they don't want to do go back?
And they stay, what is going to happen to them? I know people are going to lobby for this thing not to be put in place because America can't run by itself, you know. America needs immigrants.
America needs immigrants, you know.
There's a lot of American over here that don't want to do the work that immigrant do. Enough people don't over here for do to to to work on the farm.
Enough people don't over here to do certain things. That's why for for years for years this country has been depending on immigrants.
If people have you know your history, the Indians, the Chinese, they have been coming over here for years doing work. America cannot do without immigrants. So, I know people are going to try to overturn this thing that that um they try to put in front of parliament, or this thing that is on the table re green card holder.
Well, people, this don't look good. This don't look good at all at all at all at all. When my friend call me and tell me about it, I don't know what is going on with her, but I know that she's okay.
She's a citizen She has been here for a long time cuz she said when she came here, someone someone petition for her to come over here and work. So, she is okay, but she's talking about a lot of people that are here and have been here for years. What are they going to do back home? There's a lot of people that came over here when they were children.
And even now they don't get them papers.
What are they going to do? Some of them just start. Some of them just see a little light.
What What are they going to do?
A lot of people have the resources they need to build back home.
A lot of people have the money that they could put back something home, but because they don't have no intention of going back to their country or even putting something back there. They don't even think about it.
People, I could not do it. I could not I could not be in a country that there's a lot of uncertainty and I don't make provision back home. We need to make provision back home. So, all who are listening to me, start make preparation. It ain't too late. Send back your little money. Send back something where we can do a little business. But for those who don't have any ties in Jamaica, boy, I don't know what to tell you know. Maybe we have to go to a different country. Maybe you guys have to go to a different island, a different country. I don't know what to tell you guys.
But this looks serious, people. This looks serious.
And I know a lot of people are worried.
Remember that immigration law that was passed, that they passed the interview?
I think it was last year or early this year.
There were no interviews going on. So, there's still a backlog.
But they're still telling you to file, do your your I-130. But remember there was a pause. Can you imagine? That is there and now this one come about with the green card, you have to go back and adjust your status.
At least when you're over here, when you adjust your status over here, you get a work permit, you get a travel document.
Now when you go over there, what are you going to do when you go back over your country?
What are you going to do for income?
What are you going to do for shelter?
People, as I said before, this don't look good.
This no look pretty at all. This no look good. But I just want to come and say to you, start making provision because a lot of changes are coming in immigration. I'm not no immigration lawyer. I'm just talking to you because I'm a migrant that came over here.
And I've been coming on this platform when I say that I'm making provision to go back home. Right? Because anything can happen.
Anything can happen. The table can turn.
What do we have in our country to sustain us if something happen? What are the provision we make if something happen? Don't be like the person that Buju Banton sang about.
We say, "You never send your your money go back a yard they rich you." Don't do that. Make some provision. Start sending back some money. Start fix up your little old house where they are country.
Start clean up the the land where you make overgrown with bush and trees.
Start clean it up. Fence it off because two more things happening, people.
Remember I know Remember Sharon said to you know, make provision because there going to be a paradigm shift. Eh.
Mark my word. A lady said me too emotional, but people, I have to get emotional, passionate about this immigrant thing when we come to people country and we don't want to make provision back home. Even if you don't make provision back home, make provision in another country, in another highland are something but anyway anyway people this that's just my little video I just want to come and say to you what my friend called me and say to me and ask me what I hear. Yeah, so put in the comment section what are your thought on this new immigration law or this new immigration law that they want to pass.
Tell me what you think about it. That's it for Sharon America. Please I must you to like, share and subscribe. Tell a friend to tell a friend about Sharon America. Until another video.
