What Does the 9th Commandment Really Mean?

Well, it says that you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, which like in the technical definition of that means like in a courtroom, you're not bringing false charges and you're you're not testifying about him incorrectly. But beyond that, it essentially means that you're an ambassador for the truth.

[00:00:18]You're not, you know, at the at the disadvantage of others promoting some version of truth that's going to advantage yourself. And at the bottom of this, God is repeatedly described as the truth. Jesus says, "I'm the way, the truth, and the life." God brings forth truth. So, truth is his very essence. To get away from is to attack the very essence of God, the design of God for this world. But it's essentially boils down to you're an ambassador for the truth. You avoid falsehood and deceit.
