Outside the Royal Courts of Justice today, my thoughts before the hearing. Bridgen v Hancock.

[00:00:01]So, here I am outside the Royal Courts of Justice at 10:30 in court 68. We're going to be hearing Hancock's uh appeal um against the refusal of his second strikeout um in my defamation case against him.

[00:00:19]It's going to be a tough gig for uh Hancock's lawyers today.

[00:00:23]When you look at the uh skeletal arguments, I think theirs is uh Well, it's very thin, and that's being very, very polite. I do not sure how he managed to get approval for an appeal in the first place, but uh we will see.

[00:00:38]Uh my barrister, Chris Newman of New Litigation, is uh rearing to go. He'll be on after lunch. Uh so, first of all, we'll be hearing from, I think, Aidan Eardley, KC, who's uh Hancock's uh barrister.

[00:00:54]And uh I think they're going to have to the judges will have to not only rewrite defamation law to find for Hancock, but they'll also have to rewrite the Oxford English Dictionary.

[00:01:06]We'll see what their appetite is for that.
