Are there viable alternatives to the main contenders in Armenia's election?

[00:00:00]Anybody who says that this that it there are no alternatives is not being truthful because if you're informed voter you will the alternatives are there.

[00:00:09]Now the problem is that those alternatives are vastly out communicated by the two dominant parties that keep telling you it's between the formers and the currents and some value the Russia or the current government.

[00:00:21]But I mean if you look at this field there are three or four people that what I call the third way candidates and what are the third way candidates? Third way candidates are against the old regime against the current government and generally pro-Western.

[00:00:36]I wouldn't say anti-Russian because it depends from place to place and who are they? It's Hayk [snorts] Marutyan it's Aram it's Arman Babajanyan Arman Tatoyan and to a lesser extent our very unique friends at Bolorin Dem.

[00:00:52]You know so yeah. So anybody who and of these four that I just mentioned two of them have a realistic chance of passing and getting into Parliament. And what's interesting about and both Marutyan's and Tatoyan's messaging is they're anti-old regime they're very virulently anti-current regime but they're also very strong nationalists.

[00:01:18]And that's really quite interesting for Marutyan because Marutyan is probably more EU than this government.

[00:01:23]But they're all recognizing that someone's going to own the flag and that this government being so perceived to be so anti-nationalist that that's a place for them to go.
