Fish cleaning stations on residential docks are highly productive bass fishing spots because they attract crawdads, which in turn attract bass; anglers should use bottom-contact lures like Texas rig worms, jigs, or creature baits when fishing these structures, as the discarded fish parts and crawdads create a concentrated feeding area that bass frequently patrol.

On The Water Vid!…NEVER Pass Up Fishing One Of THESE When You See One…Added:
Hey guys, welcome back here to the Fishing Teacher and appreciate you guys swinging by the channel and checking out a little on the water video today. Guys, today we're going to be talking about one of the most in obvious overlooked fishing structures on any lake. If you see this guys, you need to pull up and fish it cuz you can catch some quality fish on it. Most people just blow on past it. So, I'm going to show you guys what it is. About any lake across the country has them on it. So, we're going to dig into that in today's video here.
I'm also guys, you probably heard me talking about it quite a bit the last couple weeks, but I've been using these new KastKing ALTI baitcaster reels here.
Guys, if you're looking for a new baitcaster reel and you want something that's freaking awesome, try this out.
Brand new from KastKing guys. It's got this halo magnetic vortex braking system on it. It's like impossible to backlash.
You can cast the thing without even thumbing it. It's got the world's first all titanium spool, 11 ball bearings, aluminum frame, super light. I'll have the KastKing or my KastKing link in the description of this video. And if you use the promo code with it, Randy B, you get an additional discount. So, you might want to try those out. And also guys, real quick, one one thing I want to remind you of, anybody interested in booking a private one-on-one lesson with me, just go to my Facebook page Into the Angling with Randy Blockett and uh shoot me private message. So, really appreciate you guys enduring the plugs there. I know it's irritating, but uh got to got to keep the lights on in the tackle room.
Okay guys, here it is right here. See that? That's a fish cleaning station.
And about any lake that has boat docks on it, residential docks that is, you're going to have these fish cleaning stations out there. And they've been around forever. And one of the first times that I realized how good this was was a long time ago. Um my mom and dad had a trailer house down at Grand Lake in Oklahoma and it was a in like a little mom-and-pop resort. We didn't have a dock, but our trailer house was, you know, just on top of the little hill down from the cove on Grand Lake. And our one of our friends had a house right on the water in that cove, and he had a dock. And he had a fish cleaning station just like that on it. So, I'd go down there ever since I was a kid, and I'd fish off that dock, and I'd crappie fish off it, and I'd, you know, cast plastic worms off it. And guys, my favorite spot on that dock was in front of that fish cleaning station. I could get on that dock and cast right down the side of that fish cleaning station, and more than not, I'd catch a good bass. You know, crankbaits, worms, or whatever.
Couple different reasons for this. It's like, first of all, this is sort of like a feeding station for the whole food chain, because when people clean fish there, you know, they're throwing their fish carcasses in the water. There's little bits and pieces of skin and meat and that type of stuff. Brings in minnows to feed on it. Brings in perch to feed on it. Plus, it brings in a lot of crawdads, and that's the main factor.
These crawdads live around these these uh fish cleaning stations all the time, and bass are not stupid. They go right to it. So, there's a lot of bass that will take up a resident around these residents around these docks around these fish cleaning stations, and they just pull up there and feed, you know, whenever they're hungry. Don't ever overlook this thing. Now, the the main thing as far as fishing it, you need you really need something that's on the bottom, because a lot of that stuff falls to the bottom, the carcasses. So, having a lure that's on the bottom usually gets you more bites than like a spinnerbait or topwater. I have caught them a few on a crankbait with it, but just like a Texas rig worm, a jig, a creature bait, something like that. Just cast around it when you see it.
Um never pass that up. And also, guys, another thing while we're here on these docks, you see that dock right there?
It's got the ladder.
A lot of these docks will have ladders off them. There's one right over there.
But anytime you see a ladder in the water, that's another fish magnet on a dock. Um bass love to hang around those ladders on docks. And there's different places that they use all the time. I mean, depending upon time of the year, a dock will use I mean, a bass will use every single part of the dock. But, I can promise you guys, if you have a fish cleaning station on there, there's always going to be some decent bass around it. So, anyway, guys, just a quick tip here. Just a something you may may or may not know about that, but give it a try. It's worth it. Next time you see one, just make a few casts around it, and it will help It helps out. But,
