Reckless Walmart Shoplifter Gets Surprise of Her Life | Karens Getting Arrested By PoliceAdded:
So right now you're just getting the payment for shoplifting. Okay. All my buy stuff. Somebody else paid for it.
Can I please pay for it? I have the money. I have the money.
>> I have the money. Please, please don't lock me up.
>> A routine shopping trip at Walmart suddenly turned into a tense confrontation when police discovered something unexpected in her bag.
>> You know, they give you a bond, right?
Can I please put your hand? Please sir, >> please put your hand.
>> Please, please, will you please let me please?
>> She claimed she was just shopping, but when the camera was revealed the truth behind her small bag left the entire store in shock. Morning at Walmart suddenly turned into a tense confrontation when police opened her shopping bag.
>> So, right now, you're just getting the pay for shop. Okay.
>> Oh, no. don't buy stuff.
>> You know, they give you a bond within their right to >> is this?
>> She insisted she hadn't left the store, but the officer replied coldly, "You don't need to leave to commit a crime."
Debate between shopping and stealing had officially begun.
>> How are you?
>> Hey, ma'am. So, right now, you're just getting detained for shoplifting. Okay.
>> Oh, I'm buying stuff.
>> So, right now you're just being detained. You're not arrested or anything. So, as of now, you are >> But I'm trying to buy >> do what?
>> I'm buying some stuff.
>> Are you buying super glue?
>> Yeah, I'm buying some stuff >> in your purse.
>> Yeah, super glue.
>> I was going to buy >> Okay. And when you're going to buy it, do you normally put items in your purse?
>> Well, sometime they um like cars they let you buy.
>> We're 1026 right now. So, what I'm going to tell you right now is as against the law, you can't conceal items within your purse because that is part of statute.
So, as I as I said, right now you are right now you're detained. Yeah. With like a purse like a like a a shopping bag that you buy from them. That's your purse. So, right now you're just detained. Okay. Until we can see video footage and from there they want to press charges, they can figure that out and you can talk with them about that.
Okay.
>> Can I talk can I talk to them because I I you know what I'm saying? like >> we we'll review the video for this.
>> Okay.
>> But I want to buy the store.
>> Okay. As of now, you're just detained.
So, as long as you're cool with me, I don't plan on putting you in cuffs while you're detained. Just don't do anything crazy with me. Sounds good.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. So, put all that in this basket right here.
>> Is there any other items?
>> Yeah, I'll put in Publix. You can put stuff in a bag >> in in a in a dedicated shopping bag that has been bought by them. It's a recyclable bag. That's your purse that has all your other personal items in it.
>> It ain't nothing ain't nothing. It's empty. Ain't nothing in there but my phone and my money >> with your personal items, right? So your purse, your little phone, and then everything else in there. So with the statute, it is concealing items >> in a bag. I went >> when the store manager appeared, a single decision was made and it nearly broke the woman on the spot.
>> Just video real quick.
>> Um, so M is stating that, you know, obviously, hey, I'm going to buy these.
Um, I was just putting them in my purse uh till I go to check out. Um, so it's probably here to dispel any kind of confusion as to why this is shoplifting and, um, if you'd like to press charge of this, ma'am.
>> Yeah. So, um, did y'all get everything out of the >> Yeah, there's like a dozen items that were in the purse.
>> So, I mean, you have a cart. So, the cart is what the what's, you know, let's be real. I mean, honestly, you have a cart. That's what the cart is for, not your purse. You don't put the items in your purse. And if you were just doing that, why you you do it so secretly like that? That's not how people shop and get their >> But that's that's not secretly on right there on the island.
>> Okay.
Um well, yeah, I want to prosecute. So, we'll let the um the judge decide.
That's fine. So, the judge may agree with you and the judge may say, "Hey, she was just putting it in her."
>> Okay. But I'm saying I got I can't pay for I was going to pay for the stuff.
like I wasn't going to walk out the store with this stuff.
>> Okay. And you can tell the judge that.
That's fine.
>> Just one casual remark from her. My kids are waiting in the car. Led the officer to uncover an entirely different secret, turning the situation 180°.
>> Is your child in the car, Jody?
>> Yeah. Like I want to pay for it.
>> [ __ ] I just pay for it.
>> Jody, which car is he in here? She in?
cuz we we got a bigger issue now. Was your what car? You said you were dropped off here.
>> No, I had caught a ride.
>> Is do you have a child outside, ma'am?
>> Yeah. Yeah. With my ride. I don't know if they >> Your child's with your ride.
>> Yeah. I I leave my child in a car by themselves.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> But I'm saying But what's your name?
Have you been caught with them before? I mean, yeah, but from here >> you said that you bored from here.
>> Yeah.
>> Yes.
>> Joey, give me your stuff.
>> What?
>> Give me your stuff.
>> Come on.
>> I'm saying.
>> Jody, come on.
>> Wait. Can I talk?
>> You know, you're actually bar. You're not supposed to be here. Come on.
>> Okay. The next thing.
>> Jody.
>> Ma'am. Okay. But I'm trying to talk. Can I >> You don't need to talk to her. This is our business.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> You're bar for this location. Come on.
>> Okay.
>> Jody, come on.
>> Officer has it.
>> Stand up.
>> Stand up. Please.
>> Just bring those up and get a receipt.
>> This is You You violated the the trespass. So that's on them. They They take They take you for that. That's what I mean.
>> I'm saying I know. You know what I'm saying? like where it looked like, but I have the money to pay, >> right? But you weren't supposed to be on the property to begin with.
>> I thought they said um I was barred from OK.
>> Well, you stole from them, too. So, you're barred from them, too. I would assume she got caught in both places. So, how >> come?
>> As she was led to the patrol car, she still asked, "Can I go home today?" The officer's reply left her speechless, and the audience could only sigh. We have it in the system, huh?
>> We have it on the system. How long are you borrow?
>> We'll just do this out here. That way ain't nobody else around. Okay.
>> So, will I get out tonight?
>> Probably take a look at your criminal husband and everything. And if you you know, if they give you a bond within your right to >> I will have a bond >> to I I'm not sure. Once you get to this jail, we ask them, we'll let you know.
As long as you cooperate, we'll get you on the phone out of there. Okay.
She got borrowed from Walmart. Okoney.
>> Oh, tonight.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Huh. For criminal trespass. Yeah.
>> Do you know how long it's going to take?
>> I mean, here in Athens, it's usually pretty quick. Like 24 hours or less.
>> 24 hours.
>> I mean, that's a day.
>> I don't want to do a day.
>> I don't want you to do a day either.
>> I ain't going to get no bun when I get there.
>> You should. You don't have any pockets, do you?
>> Mm-m.
>> Okay. You don't have anything on you that you don't want to take to the jail?
>> So, what are they charging on you?
>> Um, criminal trespass due to the barring and uh shoplifting. Obviously, I don't know how many counts that you have, whether it be a misdemeanor or a felony.
I think it's up to like four. You have to shoplift like four or five times before it's a felony.
>> It's not that many.
>> Okay. So, it just be a misdemeanor shoplifting. In Georgia, retail theft can result in penalties ranging from fines and short-term jail to long-term imprisonment depending on the value of the merchandise and the number of offenses. He was charged with two offenses: retail theft and trespassing.
Up next, police received an urgent call from Target and the girl's reaction turned the situation extremely tense.
>> What I do? Um, so I believe you had a previous incident a couple weeks ago where you ran out the store with where you attempted to rob some items. So I had trespassed you that day.
>> No, you didn't. No, I don't. No, you didn't.
>> I did trespass.
>> No, I I wasn't I didn't talk to anybody or anything.
>> I had trespassed that day and I told you you were trespassing.
>> No, but you didn't tell me anything though that day. I promised you.
>> I tried to tell you, but you ran out the door and then you left, so I couldn't even get a chance to speak to you.
>> So you're trespassing me now? I'm trying to get home to my five kids. I lost my phone. Is that okay? Yeah, it's okay.
But you you got to wait one second.
What's your name and date of birth?
You're >> freaking me out. Oh, my buggies over there. I'm trying to find my phone. I lost it in the store.
>> You have anything in the car? That's not pay for it.
>> No, sir. No, no, no. You can check that.
I got the receipt. It's in the car.
Yeah, I lost my phone in here somewhere.
I I don't remember you doing saying I promise you I don't. I really >> You remember me stopping here?
>> No, I really don't. Like, I don't remember.
>> That's why I don't know if it was >> You do want to borrow her?
>> Yeah, we're >> How long do you want to borrow for? Two years. Two years. You know what that means?
>> Yes, sir. Play with the process.
>> That's fine.
>> Two years.
>> Am I still able to find my phone, though? My kids are trying to get in touch with me.
>> Uh, that's that's up to you.
>> Can I look for my phone? I'm trying to get them a call from here. You can walk with me, please. It's my phone. I just got it.
>> Can They're trying to call us.
>> Hey, guys. We'll call it. We'll walk back.
>> Please. That's all I want.
>> Hang out in the office for a little bit.
See what we can come out with. Um, or I mean I would rather just stand here while y'all y'all do it. I mean, >> that's fine.
>> She denied all accusations, pleaded and worried about her five children. Yet, the truth was still waiting to be revealed.
>> I brought it up, too. I got a jacket in here.
>> This I found in the parking lot.
>> This This Oh, I did not I did not know this was in here. I swear to God I didn't because somebody else paid for my stuff. Can I please pay for it? Please. Please. No, I didn't. I didn't. Somebody else paid for it. Can I please pay for it? I have the money. I have the money.
>> I have the money. Please. Please don't lock me up. I didn't know.
>> Please don't lock me up, sir.
>> Here is all that's in there.
>> No worries. Now, we'll get >> Please don't lock me up. I'm sorry. I didn't know it was in there.
I didn't know. Please don't. Please don't lock me up.
>> We're good.
>> Please don't lock me up. Please. I need no sorry.
Here.
Please don't lock me up here. That's all that's in there. I promise. I got my phone, my paperwork in here. That's it.
You can look. There's some makeup.
There's my ticket from the other day.
Crossing the road.
>> Sorry. I don't need that.
>> It's in the bags, guys. And these bags.
Look, there was two bags that were in there that I got from the hotel that I stay at. So, there's a couple makeup bags that were in there. I promise. And that that's my roommate's pill bottle.
>> That was in the parking lot with that.
>> I promise. I promise you can search for me. Like, I promise.
>> I promise you can search me. Like, I promise it's not mine.
>> Oh, my phone's in my back pocket.
What do you know? Good job.
>> That wasn't mine. That's not mine. I promise it's not mine.
>> That's in all of your bags. I mean, >> no, these are >> Every bag and item was thoroughly checked, and she kept insisting. It's not mine. But would anyone believe her?
>> I found it outside.
>> Oh, rock.
>> Okay.
>> It's not mine, though, y'all. Please don't lock me up.
>> Okay.
>> Please don't lock me up. I'm begging you not to. Please.
>> Calm down. Calm down. Yeah, you need to calm down for real.
>> Huh?
>> Just calm down.
>> No, cuz I don't want to lose my kids.
>> Please don't lock me up.
>> Please don't lock me up.
>> Please don't lock me up, guys.
>> Please don't lock me up.
>> It's not It's not the end of the world.
>> It is because I'm going to lose my kids.
>> You can't be doing this around the kids anyway.
>> So, you're going to take me to jail?
looking like it.
>> Please don't take me to jail. Please don't take me to jail. Please don't take >> Please don't take me to jail. Please don't take me to jail.
>> That's my roommate.
>> That's not worried about whatever that is.
>> Please don't hang.
Please don't hang.
>> I think you said that more than once.
>> My kids. We're going to try to decide what we're doing from here. So, we just see what all we got here. Okay.
>> We're getting a dollar amount for you guys, right?
>> Okay.
>> All right.
>> So, this isn't your straw either.
>> No, I'm just saying no.
You got those bags. I'm just trying to I don't want to go to jail.
>> Listen, this is a big thing. Like, we we I do this for 12 hours a day.
>> I understand that. Okay. It's a strong I don't like being lied to.
>> I'm not trying to lie to you.
Why do you have so much stuff in your purse? It's not in like a bottle or something.
>> Cuz honestly, like from where I found from where I was at between the I just find stuff out there in a parking lot. I just throw it in there.
>> No, seriously. Like I really do like >> So no, what I'm saying is you got ibuprofen in here. Do you take ibuprofen?
>> Yes, sir. I take >> So why would you take ibuprofen that's in a bag with all the stuff that you pick up in a parking lot and throw in a bag?
>> Yep.
>> Huh? Why would you have IV protein in here that you take >> and then throw all the bunch of stuff that you pick up in a parking lot?
>> I don't know cuz I I mean I've dumped when I was home cuz I would dump your D and stuff. So, >> but that makes no sense. You wouldn't want to take pills that have been in a a purse with a bunch of nasty things that were found in a parking lot.
>> Pleading, worrying, and endless promises. As the officers prepared to take the next step, the tension reached its peak.
>> Suggest cigarette, sir, please.
>> Okay, see >> there's just had for my kids. Can I please please >> go ahead and empty your pockets. Take everything out your pockets.
>> I don't have anything in my pocket.
Except her money, my gloves.
Please, please don't go.
>> Please.
Here.
Please. Wait. I'm begging you. Please.
My phone. I didn't know it was stuck down in here. Ro, I had no idea it slipped down in my pants.
Please don't smoke a cigarette. Please be Please. Please.
Sir, please.
>> You got to stop.
>> Oh, I promise. Please.
>> Can I please? Will you put me in?
Please, sir.
>> Turn around.
>> Please put your hands.
>> Please, please, sir. Please. Please.
Will you please let me please? That's a second. You know, >> I'm asking you please.
>> I know.
>> Please, please, please, sir. Please. I begging you to please.
Please.
Sir, you're not going to let me. Even though I'm cooperating.
>> Cooperating.
>> What about my food?
>> We'll go figure that out in just a second. In the end, the unexpected outcome left everyone stunned. Theft and trespassing would not escape legal consequences. The woman was charged with retail theft and trespassing.
>> You were here yesterday. It shows you purchased two bucks of cologne and it shows you took a keychain for the display case. I mean, >> and as they were bringing you up, >> just the the is the the iPod holder. I know, but as you as you as you were bringing up the cologne, >> I looked at the uh iPod holder, but it didn't fit, so I didn't buy it.
>> Well, but you walked out with it cuz they didn't >> No, no, I did.
>> Did you ask them if they can look around to see if it fell today? Because it's really small. It doesn't >> They don't have it. And you walked out with it?
>> No, I did.
>> And then you came back to me to the store and that's why they recognized you, >> right? I came back to I didn't do anything wrong. That's why I came back.
If I did something wrong, why would I come back?
>> That's That's what happened. So you walked when you came back to the >> It's not Let me tell you, it's not a keychain.
>> So what is it then? It's not a keychain.
What is it?
>> It's a AirPod holder.
>> No, on the on the video. There's no only AirPod holder, but I see.
>> Oh my god. I That's the only thing I No, that's the one. It's silver. That's the only thing I looked at. Why I'm waiting for It's Yes, it's a AirPod holder. I don't need any keychain. It's not a key chain.
Oh my god. I don't know how to air holder.
>> I didn't find it on you. Let me check your bag. I couldn't find it. a keychain item.
>> You know what? I'm rich. I have money.
So, if they want to pay it, fine. But it's not a keychain. It doesn't fit this. I took it out. Why don't we look at the camera carefully? I took it out.
I put it in. So, did you see me putting it in?
>> No. I see you took out the the iPod and you looking at the keychain.
>> To put it in there.
>> What?
>> To put what? To put the keychain in there.
>> To test this to see if it fit, >> right?
>> It's not a keychain. I'm a fashion designer. I know. It's not a key chain.
What was it?
>> It's a AirPod holder. It's a airpot case. Call as it's airpot case.
>> They swear it was a keychain and value at $330.
>> That's it.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh my god.
>> Gucci keychain. It's not cheap.
>> That is cheap. That is really cheap. I buy some for like thousands of dollars.
Okay. This Chanel bridge is $7,000.
Okay. It's not a keychain. It's a haircut.
>> Huh?
>> I got the whole Gucci. The whole thing.
I have it. They brought it to me on >> Can you tell them >> that's the tracking number?
>> Yeah, that's the tracking number.
>> And I don't have it. Seriously. And then and then a little while later she shows up. 000 0123.
>> It's an AirPod holder. I don't know why you keep saying it's a keychain. It's not a keychain. It's >> the OP guy. I just numbered his name.
That's the the mention. Oh, is he over there now?
>> Yeah. Josh's there now.
>> The police left the scene and went straight to the CCTV room. And from that point on, nothing was in the woman's control anymore.
>> Did you submit the video yet?
>> Yes, I've submitted the video.
>> Oh, gotcha. So, she's going to come up.
She's arguing if it's a keychain or air.
>> No, it's a keychain.
>> Air holder.
>> Slides underneath her wallet and just keeps it and go forward. She never brings it back out. She never put it back. I know forever the counter. Walks over. Gets them distracted. Get them all flustered. I walk forward. She keeps going around 3:08. Let me show you that.
She watches out. She's going to go down the fragrance and then puts it back.
Still has the holder and then she walks.
I can just walk her out of 308.
>> At no point she pay for the item.
>> Nope. And then just walks out. Her husband's outside. I think her husband.
>> Can I see the beginning of the video where she just see her face again cuz I was supposed to she was taken. And that's the same lady you recognize that came back today.
>> The same probably.
>> Oh, she said she's come back today.
>> No. Okay. Um, you guys want charges?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. I'm going to need I know you probably need to take it online. So, I can't grab that because it's already been submitted. I'll grab another statement for you. You don't mind filling that out?
>> Sure. No problem. Um, and then we'll go through that. Let's see what she has.
You guys did inventory of everything and you know, not me. You're arrest. Just need your detain.
>> Sure.
>> And then I want to ask a question.
>> What's detained? This has never happened to me before.
>> You're detained cuz you're not free to leave.
>> Wait, what was it?
>> You're not free to leave right now. We just do the investigation.
>> So, I can leave.
>> You're not? No.
>> You're not. You're detained.
>> What does detain mean?
>> Like you're being held. Can't go anywhere right now.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh. Oh. Not arrested but detained.
Meaning that you have to wait.
>> We have to investigate.
>> Exactly. We have to investigate the facts before we can make determination.
That's what we're doing right now.
>> All right. If you have the right explain, do anything.
>> Yes.
>> When the verbal narrative cracked under the video, the only question left was who was telling the true story.
>> You were checking out with the bottles of cologne where you put the keychain back at.
>> Yeah, that's where I looked at wherever that was. So maybe that's what I was trying to tell. Maybe can they search the whole story? It might have fell somewhere before they deal with your story. All right. It's not true. I removed the video. You're seeing putting it under your wall. They have a camera right above.
>> Yeah, I know. I see the camera.
>> You know Gucci? Obviously, I can see everybody with >> Everybody has camera. Okay. Camera.
>> Okay. So, you take it's 330 bucks. All we're asking All we're asking is cooperation and admission. All right.
I'm not asking you to sit here and continue makeup stores.
>> You put the keychain holder under your wallet. You walk around the store and you exit. You never once drop it in.
Okay. Everything in that store is >> I have never taken anything.
>> Is it possible that you >> you were at home? Did you forget and that's why you came back there?
>> Nobody's accusing you of DMT.
>> I'm not obviously tell I can afford all this.
>> I understand. Is it an accident? Is this a misunderstanding?
>> Maybe. I don't know. It's really crazy cuz this never happened to me before. I was in a hurry because I sang at the Teletron in um >> Where is it at? Do you have the home?
Can you go back and get it?
>> Get what?
>> The the airplane.
>> I don't have it. Maybe it fell somewhere. I don't have it. Seriously.
>> But if you wanted to pay, I I don't want to pay. I don't have it. I swear to you, I don't have it. If they want me to pay, I will pay.
>> Is it in your car?
>> I don't have a car. I've been taking Uber.
>> I don't live here. That's why.
>> Where do you live?
>> I live in California. I don't have it.
Seriously.
>> But you told me you put it back right in front of me.
>> No, I don't remember. I I think I throw everything back once my husband was rushing me out because we were late for the show. The only reason we came in here because his outfit was malfunction.
So, we went to Demon and bought a suit.
But you do remember yesterday picking up the keychain, testing it out and then >> not a key chain.
>> The whole >> I tested I tested it didn't fit. So I put it back into my my my my um LV thing and then I don't remember what happened to do you know what I mean? Because if it fit I wouldn't buy it. It didn't sit.
I tried it. It didn't fit. You should look at camera carefully >> and they check your purse and you'll >> I tried it. He looked at you looked at the whole purse.
>> Are you okay if I look at it?
>> Oh no.
So I I don't remember what happened, you know, to that thing. Maybe. Can't they search the store? They can't search the the store for it.
>> Uh they did. They do counts like >> that's really Or did they check on the cologne side? Because I went back there to make sure.
>> I checked the entire store.
>> Okay. Cuz I went back there to make sure the cologne was incorrect. He gave me the wrong one.
>> And the moment every misunderstanding disappeared, the handcuffs came out with only one destination. Orange County Jail. Right back at this time you are being placed under arrest.
>> What is that?
>> Uh for retail patty, >> but I didn't take it.
>> The video shows otherwise. They did an inventory of the store.
>> I didn't take it. So what again? I can't go home.
>> Unfortunately, ma'am, because you're not a resident of Orange County or OciOla, I'm not able to do what we typically do, which is a bar or Huh.
>> So what do I >> uh You're going to go to Orange County Jail and you're going to be you're going to bond out from there.
>> So somebody has to come and bond.
>> Yeah. Somebody have to come out and bond you. Your bond will be $1,000.
>> Okay. They can do it right away.
>> Uh I don't know as far as like on their end how long it takes, but you will be able to find out as soon as you get there. It's just a matter of how long.
>> Can I tell them?
>> I'll let them know.
>> They're my only.
>> Give me a second. Can you get Somebody's going to go do a statement at Gucci.
>> Do you want all your property?
>> Do you want all your property to go to?
>> You want me to say your family over there? Your >> friends, but can I talk to basically?
>> I'm standing here.
>> Just put my head out.
Do you want them to know that you're being arrested?
>> No, I don't because this is crazy. Can you stand here and talk to them? Go to this door.
>> We're going to get them to your property. How what are they supposed to know about?
>> Otherwise, where is it going to be?
Here.
>> You'll have to go to the jail. But I mean, I don't know. Where's your vehicle at?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You'll get it back. My >> So, I can take it with me.
>> My only concern is because one, the price dollar of your bag and two, if they don't allow that in the jail because sometimes they're very that nobody's taking care of it.
>> Yeah. I'd rather give it to somebody you know. That way there's for >> Okay, I can give it to Jo to I'll explain to him.
>> I'll bring her back here.
>> Yeah. No, I can talk to her.
>> No, no, no.
>> No, no. I'm not going out there. Just bring the door.
>> We'll bring her back here.
>> I need to tell them this is a big misunderstanding.
>> She was arrested for petty theft, handcuffed, and transported to Orange County Jail. Her bond was set at $1,000.
Next, a woman walked out of Target and was immediately handcuffed. But the reason behind it lay in a series of transactions no one could easily explain. Stop.
>> Jesus. Hi.
>> Hello.
>> Hi. You're under arrest. Put under arrest.
>> Are you stealing?
>> Put your hands behind your back.
>> Put your hands behind your back.
>> You're under arrest for like five counts of fing.
>> Excuse me.
>> For like five counts of felony retail.
>> How?
>> Merry Christmas.
>> You'll find out.
>> I'm really serious.
>> We will fill you up with details. Let's go to the office.
>> We literally watched you on camera. So >> I I for what exactly?
>> Did you have anything on you?
No, >> nothing on you. Okay. No pockets or anything?
>> No.
>> Okay, perfect. Go and have a seat for me.
>> You've been caught on camera since like September of this month doing the $500 or $300 skiping stuff all the time. It's all on video. It's all documented. Well, Hold on. We will ask you the questions and do all that stuff after the fact.
But at this point, there is like five cases of retail cash found.
>> Okay. Is your ID in here?
>> Um, my wallet's in there. My wallet's in there.
So, we're going to go under the car where there's more cameras and more microphones. I'm going to read you your rights in the car so you know what your rights are and I'm going to ask you if you want to talk about this whole thing and and I'm going to tell you the details of every single case that I have on you, >> okay?
>> And the the dates, the times, the totals, all that all that stuff. I'll even show you pictures and videos of you doing all this stuff.
>> Doing what?
>> It's called skip scanning. You scan one thing, put like three or more in a bag, and vice versa. So, it's all on video.
So, >> we'll chat about it if if you want to >> I need my you to call my husband and I actually don't want to chat.
>> That's your right as well.
>> Sure. What you >> I'll still fill you in with all the details.
>> You guys Okay.
>> Okay.
>> I would have zero reason to steal. You know that, right?
>> I'm assuming who I am.
>> Everyone has situations in their life. I don't know what your life entails.
>> Point is I Okay.
There were I don't know whether receipts from this morning.
Yeah.
>> Well, there should have been a purchase one and then a return one.
>> This is a purchase form.
>> When the cameras were mentioned, the denial no longer matched the items that had been recorded from the shelves to the checkout. There was an incident on October 23rd when there were multiple things of PSD underwear taken, a Champion t-shirt, like the Champion brand t-shirt, and a Cat and Jack toy.
>> Does that ring any bells to you?
>> What do you say, sir?
>> Yeah, I have all of those things. Not paying for them or scanning them or whatever is being Okay. I mean, I have Yeah, there's no way for me to know what you're talking about or how.
>> Okay. So, >> so the total that day was 386.
Okay. And there was one more. I'll I'll go over it with you just so we can kind of attempt to get some kind of understanding of what we're having to do. So the 16th of this month, so two days ago, that was the biggest one, it was 582.
>> Yeah. Which would have been on Tuesday of this week. It's Thursday right now.
>> What?
>> Yep. Let me There was facial cream like a Peter Thomas branded facial cream. There were some Lemi gummies vitamins. Are you able to see like what my credit card actually paid for?
>> So, I cannot see that on the like the law enforcement side of things.
>> The twist was the car which the police decided to impound under policy despite the owner insisting she didn't do anything >> when you showed up in the black BMW 2 days ago at around 9:30 in the morning. If that rings any bells at all.
>> Yes.
on that day. Like what you're saying?
No.
>> Did you make any selections of like like PJ clothing or anything like that? Like pajamas?
>> Yes, I did.
>> Um that's today's >> today's at 500 >> 500 >> today. Oh, just now. Just now. Okay.
>> Um we'll touch on this on today's thing in a second. Um, being the fact that we now have enough probable cause to arrest you for multiple cases of retail theft, we're also going to be seizing your car.
Okay? We are required to do that by department policy, county policy. So, my partner and my other partner are going to go to your car, make sure nothing else illegal is inside of your car, inventory the whole car, and it's going to get towed. Does that make sense?
and >> so being that you're >> so when you go into my car and see that there's no inventory that they are accusing me of steal >> you still tow my car >> right so it's being seized or towed and seized because of your multiple retail theft cases it doesn't matter if the propertyy's there or not anymore the fact that you're the owner of the car and your car was used >> well actually >> is it Ryan >> pretty sure >> okay well nevertheless the car that you brought here is the one that's going to be getting used or seized. Um, if there is property in there that checks to one of these cases, it'll be then brought out and brought back into the store to be able to, you know, put them together.
But at this point, that's what's going to happen with your car.
>> In the end, the numbers and the video spoke for everything. And her next destination had nothing to do with the store anymore.
>> You would have stuff in your left hand, scan something in your right hand, and then take everything together and put it in the bag.
That literally happened. I watched it happen on the camera. We also watched you select the boxes of Lego toys, put them in the cart, and never actually scan them ever.
So, that that definitely happened, too.
But I watched it happen on camera.
>> There were two transactions.
>> Yeah. They watched you the entire time in the store from the time that you picked up the Legos. Just to talk about the Lego stuff, the time that you picked it up to the time you were met with us outside right here, the Legos went in the cart and never moved.
They were always in the cart.
>> Does that make sense?
>> Yes. The one box that's doesn't fit back. I don't think either of the boxes, which is also why the flipper on the one receipt that I heard wasn't.
>> So, I can go over all these items that were not scanned >> because today it's 587. It's it's the new new highest total today. It's a bunch of health products. There's Coca-Cola. There's whatever mint it is. I don't know what it is. Um the Legos are both on here.
I mean, it's it's I we've all watched the videos. We we've seen what's been happening.
>> Um I'm not trying to say you're a bad person or anything like that. I'm just trying to do my job, but from what I've seen, I have to make the arrest. I I haven't got a choice. Does that make sense?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. So, there's going to be four counts of retail theft, I think. at least four counts of retail theft. Three out of the four are going to be felony level, which is over $300.
One is going to be like 120 bucks. So that's misdemean.
>> In Illinois, theft over $300 in a single incident or over time is punishable by 2 to 5 years in state prison and fines of up to $25,000.
The woman was charged with multiple theft counts, including three felony counts over $300 and one misdemeanor count of $120.
She went to the register and she feels like without standing.
>> All right, man. Do me a favor. Stand up for me. Stand up. I need you to stand up here.
Put Put it down. Come on. Stand up and turn turn around.
>> Put your hands behind your back.
>> They want They want to press >> what it is. Stay right here. Do not move.
Can I get my medicine, please?
>> I'm not pee first. I got to pee so bad.
>> Ma'am, >> please sit in.
>> Officers remained calm and assisted step by step, but they were preparing for what they knew was inevitable.
>> I understand. You're just delaying the inevitable.
Ma'am, please take my daughter.
>> Come on. This the seat is up. You got to You got to You got to get up, ma'am. You got to get up.
>> I know. I am.
>> Okay. Come on.
>> Here you go. Come on. Sit. Sit the right way.
>> I had anxiety.
>> You're fine. You're fine.
Watch your Please, how do you me? Please don't take me with my daughter. Please, >> you're fine. Just breathe. Just breathe.
Okay, >> I got to breathe. Can I get a Can I just breathe? Please, Ma'am, you're going to fall. You got to breathe.
>> You're going to fall.
>> Okay. So, I'm going to You're fine. I'm going to let you sit like this. I'm going to buckle you in after. Just sit down and relax. Okay. Just breathe.
>> Okay.
>> All right. Nothing else in here. But she just got arrested for, too.
>> No possession.
Okay.
That's just a smile.
>> We're going to let you smoke cigarettes.
I'm going to let you out. Need you to just listen to whatever we say, though.
>> Okay.
>> All right. Come on.
>> I got you. Go ahead.
>> I I took my shoes off. I had an ID.
>> It's fine. So, here you go.
>> My drink I did pay for it.
You want You're going to You want me to put it in your mouth for you and then light it up?
>> No, I got to >> I'm not going to take you out of the handcuff though.
>> No, I know.
>> You You got it. Okay. Here, I got you.
I'll I'll light it up for you.
>> Here you go. Okay.
>> But when given the chance, she chose an action that made her pay the price herself. And everything immediately got 10 times worse.
>> You shouldn't have done it tonight. I was I'm sober. I've been 13 days over. I shouldn't have done it. I should have.
>> That's fine. You're going to keep your shoes off for now. You're fine right now. You're good.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I just want to crawl off.
>> Oh, okay.
>> I shouldn't have done it.
>> Ma'am, don't move from right there.
>> All right, ma'am. Go ahead. Take >> I'm going to keep >> I will toss the cigarette. Don't throw it on the ground. Here. I got your >> your bottle. I'll throw it in.
>> I don't think you're allowed to leave cigarette.
>> I know. That's why I'm telling you not to toss it on the ground.
Sorry.
>> Hey.
I can't. I can't. I can't.
>> Stop. I can't. I can't. Please. Please.
I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't.
No. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I can't. I lose everything. Please take.
>> How many opportunities did we give you?
Huh? Let's smoke and then we're going to start taking off. That's what that's now. Get in. Get in.
step up.
>> In the end, the plea of I'm a good person came far too late. The legal system doesn't run on promises or tears.
>> Sit back.
Please give me a chance.
>> Well, you just made it 10 times worse.
>> Why did you think running was going to be smart?
>> I don't want to lose everything. I'm a good girl. I'll play. I just I just got mixed up with the wrong guy. Oh, I'll pay for everything. Why can't I pay for everything and and be done with it?
>> We'll debrief and talk about it all later.
>> Oh, I already know what it is about it, right?
>> Yeah. So, I know what's what's coming out of it.
>> It's not something we're just going to happen, right?
>> No. Yeah. Yeah.
They guaranteed >> with the highest >> never again going together.
>> One ruins it for all, bro.
>> She was charged with petty theft and resisting arrest. A gentle question about whether she took anything suddenly turned into a tense screening as she repeatedly insisted she didn't steal anything.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Did you happen to steal anything while you're in Hibisports? No.
>> May I search your stuff? Make sure that you didn't take anything related to sports.
>> I mean, I didn't steal anything, so you have to search >> to see if that's accurate or not. I They're They're advising that you had taken some items.
>> If it's If it's nothing major, then it's not that big a deal. But especially in today's climate.
>> Yeah. No.
>> So, there's nothing in there.
>> No. Okay. So, >> all right. So, get your ID with you.
>> Yeah.
>> May I see it, please?
>> Yeah.
Oh, it's in my purse or in my car.
>> Hold up. Grab it.
>> Grab it on my car.
>> Is somebody else with you?
>> Um, no. I'm by myself.
>> Okay. Which card?
>> The black car.
>> Couple black cars. The little Chevy.
Yeah.
>> Okay. Let's walk over there.
>> Yeah.
>> The passenger side, please.
>> Yeah.
>> Edward Lincoln 58932.
Edward Lincoln 58932. Go ahead.
>> So those items that are under your arm, those didn't just come from Hibbits?
>> No, I've had these.
>> You've had those?
>> Yeah.
>> What is that?
>> They're just sweatpants.
>> Sweatpants?
>> Yeah.
>> What's the tag on there?
>> There's no way. I've had them.
>> Standard fit high-rise.
>> Yeah.
>> Where did those come from?
>> I've had them with me, >> but Where where did you get them from whenever you initially got them? Okay.
>> And I don't steal. So if I need to get in trouble, I need to get in trouble. I don't steal [ __ ] Never have I stolen [ __ ] >> Okay. But this is the this may very well be the thing that they're quick questioning.
>> Okay. So >> give my keys. Give me my ID.
>> You've been arrested here before?
>> No, I've never stolen.
>> Have you been arrested in this show before?
>> No.
>> Sure.
>> Yes. Positive.
>> What's your name?
>> Janelle.
Adams >> look familiar.
>> Our rare Mickey are now freaked out.
>> The store employee entered the picture detailing everything from removing the tag to slipping it into a bag to walking out the door.
>> Set your purse here on the hood. You don't have anything on you. I need nobody, drugs, knives, bombs, weapons, nothing like that. No needles, no open razor blades. Put your keys in there.
I'm just going to pat you down real real quick. Make sure you don't have anything.
Okay, do me a favor. I'm going to have you have a seat in here.
>> Maybe pants on her.
>> What's that?
>> Did she have the pants on her?
>> What pants?
>> They're these.
She left the tag in the hand.
They size large in there with these here.
That's what she should have had.
>> I don't know if she got something else.
>> That's what she has.
Fit high res. That's them.
She says she bought them another time.
>> She did not. I watched you come in her bag.
>> We've got her. I think the officer Yeah.
Officer Lamb is handling this. He probably wants to talk to you. I'm going to take this out there with me.
>> The item's value was confirmed and the store manager faced a choice. Let it go or press charges. And they chose the option that took things much further.
>> The uh hanger and the price tag and she walked me over to pants rack and that's what you got the standard highrise.
>> Okay.
>> 70 bucks.
>> Okay.
>> Are they want to increase some charges for retail product?
>> Okay.
>> What are you looking to have done here?
>> Van for sure, but I don't know who wants to if we touch charges or what we do.
Okay.
She They have She has the pants on her.
They stopped her. What do we do? You want to press charges? What do we do?
>> Okay. He's going to call our um loser real quick. Okay.
>> Never gotten product back before. It's a new one. Did she was on I think she was on her way back here.
>> Had she made it out to her car yet?
>> I didn't see her with the car. I went out there to vape and she was walking down that way.
>> Okay, >> that's when you guys grabbed there. She I watched her. She stole over here, hunched down, shot the horse, zipped it up, put the hanger there. I held the tap there and she walked around and then I went back to call and she walked out.
>> Okay.
>> Hello.
passages.
>> Okay.
>> Management that wants to pursue charges.
>> They do.
>> Yes.
>> Okay. Standard highrise.
>> From a few initial denials, she suddenly heard the one sentence no one wants to hear on the street. At this time, you are under arrest.
>> Okay.
So, at this time you're under arrest, retil. Okay. You get your hands, put them out in front of you there. I'm going to cuff you up front just to make your life a little bit easier. Okay.
>> Yeah.
Turn your wrist like that. Thank you.
I'm going to double lock those so they don't clamp down on any by accident.
I didn't miss anything on your person or anything, right?
>> No.
>> Okay. So, just so you're aware, they uh watched you put that in your purse. So, you have the right to remain silent.
Anything you say can will be used against you in court or other proceedings. You have the right to an attorney. You have the right to have one present with you before any question if you wish. You can't afford one, but you point it to you for even a cop to you for questioning if you wish. Okay. I'm having a hard time with this. And >> yeah, I already got it. Okay.
You don't have to speak to me or answer any questions and and you can stop at any time. You understand that, >> ma'am?
>> What?
>> You understand your rights? You know what your rights are?
>> No, I never do. I always get chained to manage. How can I help you?
>> Okay. So, I'm just advising you of your rights.
>> And what is that, sir?
>> You have the right to remain silent.
Okay. You understand that?
>> Yep.
>> Anything you say can and will be used against you in court or other proceedings. Do you understand that?
>> Yeah.
>> You have the right to an attorney. You have the right to have an attorney with you before any question if you wish. You cannot afford an attorney. Want to be appointed to you free of any cost before it if you wish. You understand?
>> Okay.
In Georgia, retail theft with a total value of $500 or less is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 12 months in jail and slash or fines of up to $1,000. She was charged with retail theft with the case subject to prosecutorial review and possible court proceedings.
>> She a regular or >> was that the lady that was standing up earlier?
Hey, come here. Got one sping me off right off. It's going to be towards the back of the side.
>> Hey, come here.
>> What's wrong with you?
>> Put your hands down you, sir.
>> Listen to me right now.
>> Listen to me. Put your hands right here, sir.
>> Let me see your hands.
>> I will I will tase you. You don't put me.
>> Please don't scare me, sir.
>> All right. Face face towards the back.
>> Please don't scare me.
>> All right. Come on.
>> What is wrong with you? What are you doing, sir?
>> Ma'am, you're scaring me.
>> Let's go.
>> My mother, relax. Stop moving, ma'am. Stop moving.
>> I don't want to slam you on the ground, ma'am. I need you to relax. You understand me?
>> Stop moving. Stop resisting. Stop resisting.
>> I have a medical issue.
>> No, you do not. Stop resisting.
>> While being escorted to the patrol car, she tried to negotiate and asked to call a family member while officers had to keep her steady to conduct a safety check.
Ma'am, relax. Right.
>> Going.
>> Make sure you have nothing on you.
Relax.
Relax.
>> Stop.
Stop.
>> I don't have anything on you, man.
>> Ma'am, I need you to relax. All right.
Stand fast. Don't move.
>> Okay.
>> I need you to put your legs shoulder width apart for me, please. Shoulder width apart. You have anything out here?
>> Nothing.
>> Got your camera looking?
>> Yeah. Yeah. What are you doing? I'll >> make sure you have no weapons on you.
Okay.
>> Stop playing games. There's no scary.
You know exactly what you're doing.
>> Allow the deputy to do his job.
>> No weapons.
>> I don't have any weapons.
>> I have no idea.
>> What in the world's going on right now?
>> Have a seat.
>> What is going on?
>> Relax, man. Being detained.
>> You're being detained right now.
Question. When I told you to stop or when I told you to stop, you took flight. Okay. Yeah, but I'm scared cuz I'm literally You know why?
>> Relax.
>> Move your feet.
>> Okay.
>> So, my question is, you guys want to call?
>> They call.
>> We call, right?
>> She said she has an appointment next door for her hair.
>> Soon as you guys came.
>> Mhm.
>> I you know, she should walked in there and tell her she walk over here to let her know, let you guys know that she's over there. her mom or her family paid her transaction.
>> Okay. So, what is this about the credit card?
>> I don't know. You got to ask them.
>> Nail salon employees revealed a shocking detail. Multiple unseen cards were being projected from her phone along with unusual transactions that rire of fraud.
>> So, we got a call here for a fraud obviously with the credit cards.
>> Yes.
>> Okay.
>> So, she randomly walked in. and she wanted to buy $700 worth of services.
>> Were the credit cards to her?
>> How do you know it was not >> They're in her phone. They're all in her phone. She had like 17 different cards all in her phone and she >> had a mobile wallet.
>> No.
>> Or a picture.
>> She wouldn't show me.
>> Okay.
>> Cuz I She's like, "You have to manually put them in." And I was like, "All right, well, show it to me and I'll put it in." She was like, "No, no, I'll I'll just do it. I'll do it." And she wouldn't let me see her phone >> or see if they were typed or if it's a picture of the card. So, I don't know.
But it was all on the phone.
>> Okay.
>> And then they kept getting declined. It was like declined. Fraud. Decline.
>> Fraud. Fraud. Yeah. It kept saying fraud for a bunch of them. Two went through.
And then I had three clients call here and say, "Hey, Bank of America just sent me a message. Someone's trying to use my card at your business. It's not me."
>> Okay.
>> A woman walked in. She said she had a pants from her mother with her and she wanted to pay for services.
>> And how do you identify this woman? What was she wearing?
>> Uh, she was wearing a black t-shirt that said from Medilene on it. Um, and then she had short blonde fluffy wavy hair to her shoulders.
>> Describe to me how she looked like in terms of was she black? She's Hispanic.
>> Uh, she's Hispanic and uh she was a little larger.
>> Okay. All right. Keep going. Describe to me what happened as you were saying earlier regarding to the transaction.
Um, so she wanted to purchase $700 worth of services. Okay.
>> And so she told me to try to put it all on one card first. It was declined. It said suspected fraud. She gave me another card. It was declined. Suspected fraud.
>> How do you figure it was suspected fraud?
>> It showed up on my screen. It said it was declin declined. Suspected fraud.
>> All right.
>> So, um, two. So then she was like, "Well, let me split two. I'll tried 100 on this card and 300 on a different card. Those ones went through. Um, and then she still owed another 300. So, we tried like seven more cards and all of them were declined and said suspected fraud. And then she went next door to get a pedicure. Um, and I had three people call the salon and tell me that Bank of America or whatever bank they were using, sent them a message saying someone tried to use their card at this business and it's not them.
>> The climax hit when the bank contacted the real card holders and a formal complaint turned the beauty appointment into a criminal case.
>> Did you recall, ma'am? She You were like 14, 15 around there.
>> Around 15. How many cards was the transaction on your on your guys' end?
How many times did she use the cards?
>> How many different cards?
>> I manually put in so many >> guys. All different names.
>> I didn't see the names. Thanks. She has the card numbers in her phone and she wouldn't let me look at it. So, she would she was typing the card in.
>> Yeah. Were they Were they actually physical cards or >> No, they're all on her phone.
>> On her phone.
>> Everything's on her phone.
>> Pictures of the card. I don't know if it was pictures of the card or if she had like the numbers typed in. She wouldn't let me look at it.
>> So, yeah, these are >> I think I think it's going to be this last one that I just talked to right before I called you.
>> So, she came in here. She's using her card to scan. You're saying?
>> No, I had to manually type the cards in cuz she didn't have any miss numbers.
>> Yes, cuz I said if you have all these in your wallet, you can just tap it. I don't have to manually put them in. And she's like, "No." And she's like this.
And she's like, "Let me get this number." Okay. And then she was reading it to me. And then eventually she was just like, "I'll just type it in myself." And I was like, "Well, if you show me the card, I'll put it in." And she was like, "No, no, no. It's it's fine." She wouldn't let me see what she was looking at.
>> About 14 or 15 different numbers you typed in.
>> Yes.
>> Did she type it any herself?
>> Yes.
>> And they all came up for suspect fraud.
>> Yeah. Except for these two.
>> Those two went through.
>> These two went through. And I don't know who these people are.
>> So I don't know if I should re refund it cuz it's probably not her cards.
>> That's not hers. This is not hers.
>> No, that's not hers.
>> And those are her.
>> That's a different client. Yeah, these are the only two cards that did go through. All the other ones were declined or suspected.
>> The woman was charged with felony credit card fraud and resisting arrest. Next, an 18-year-old girl walked into a luxury car dealership with highly questionable paperwork and immediately prompted staff to call the police. Just a quick rundown. So, she gave us a credit app.
She had trouble filling out her information. Signed on the back. Her name's Emily. Signed it with a second E in the name.
>> Came in saying she wanted >> like at the beginning.
>> Yeah. No, it's Emily and then instead of just L Y E L Y. and that's not how her name is on the license. She just has like a temp license.
Um, she said she wanted a 450 payment.
Wasn't sure if she'd get approved.
Showed her a $1,200 payment. She signed right away. We looked up the address.
Doesn't line up. She says she's in Cincinnati. Works at Cleveland Clinic.
Nothing. She got dropped off. She said random. I mean, didn't call in about the car and it's a Range Rover. So, >> you guys have her license?
>> I have the temp license in there. You want to go where by her or do you want to go around?
>> I just want to see the license. Maybe I can run it and see.
>> It's where the and the temp license says she got it at a um the Elllet at like up here. This doesn't We pulled her credit.
We asked her if she had any previous car loans. We could see that she did. She said no.
>> Huh.
>> Does the picture on her look like it?
already know because it's been like copied.
>> So, she sign >> obviously that doesn't really match that >> and then she signed it again here with the kind of second >> when we asked her just simple questions about her credit report like previous auto loan. She didn't she didn't know if she had one or not. This is a $54,000 loan she had before and she's from there. She says she works at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. It's a 216. And then look where she got this at. Right over in LA.
>> Where's Mason?
>> That's Cincinnati.
>> Yeah, downtown Cincinnati.
>> Where she saying she's living now.
>> She says she's lived here for 3 years and 3 months.
>> But you see here, she almost screwed up that.
>> Was she looking at her license when she's filling this out at all?
>> So my sales guy, my sales guy said that he has making a copy of this. So he had had it with her.
She was struggling to fill this part out without the >> Faced with direct questions about her identity, she repeatedly changed her information, evaded and denied everything, causing the situation to escalate in ways no one expected.
>> Um, >> can you guess?
We have no idea.
>> Okay. Is it my >> Yeah, folks.
They're telling me, and you can tell me this is >> true or not. Where do you live right now?
>> Um, >> look at this. Where do you live?
>> I live on park.
>> Cleveland?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Do you have a real ID on you?
>> No, not right now.
>> No, it's not yours.
>> Um, not at the moment. I don't have my ID, but I do have my driver's license.
What's your name?
>> Mama.
>> Okay, stand up. Put your hands behind your back.
>> So, you know on that piece of paper that you made up?
>> Mhm.
>> You know how it says?
>> Read that.
Did you read it? What about forgery park?
>> Yes.
>> Okay.
He says there. Do you have anything on you that's illegal?
>> No.
>> Anything sharp, dangerous?
>> No.
>> Drugs?
>> No.
>> Weapons or anything like that?
>> Nope.
>> Okay.
>> Police decided to act. They handcuffed her and read her Miranda rights on the spot while she tried to explain that she was just following someone else's instructions.
>> Why you out here without fake license?
>> It wasn't even my idea, bro. Somebody did something.
>> So, whose idea was it? What were they trying to do? I guess they were trying to put a card, get a card down and just keep it or whatever, but I told them I don't think that's a good idea because >> 14.
This is me taking a big ass.
>> On top of that, this is my ID. You know what I'm saying?
>> It's my stuff. On top of that, I'm still young.
>> So, when I had came in here, they had said >> So, you were you were told what >> to be an 18-year-old. They they told me to come. They had drove me all the way down here. Gave me that. Yes. Gave me that and told me just go in there and say that you want a car down for 100. I mean for $0.

>> Not buy it.
>> Not buy it. Then what?
>> I wasn't going to buy it.
>> It was zero down. I was going to try to see if I was going to get approved for it. So, >> okay. You're going to try to get approved for it. If you got approved, then what?
>> Um, nothing.
>> You going to walk out the door?
>> I was just going to try to get the car.
>> No, I couldn't. I I can't drive the car.
I ain't driving it. But I was going to see if I could get approved then. I was going to come back, you know, next day or something.
Well, whatever they wanted to do, but I I was just trying to see if I could get approved for a car.
>> Okay. You're 18 years old.
>> Yes.
>> Have you tried this before?
>> Nope.
>> It's my first ever time experience ever doing something like this.
>> You been arrested before?
>> Nope.
>> Even as a kid?
That's expon.
>> Additional evidence and statements about a person behind it all emerged, opening up a story far more complex than a routine car purchase.
>> Uh, tell me about these insurance documents.
>> Huh?
>> They sent that to me. So, they showed you.
>> They sent it to you?
>> Yes.
>> Okay. So, you didn't come up with them yourself?
>> Was it the same person that TA four person sent you these things?
>> Uh, show me.
>> Okay.
They're up in Cleveland now. This type person or you hang out with them in person at all?
>> Well, this is actually my second time meeting them. They shouldn't be that far. Not too far from here cuz they the ones who dropped me off and was waiting.
So, >> is it was it the guy that dropped you off?
>> You dropped you off?
>> Yes.
>> Um, did they were you supposed to call them to come pick you up?
Well, they was when I came off, they supposed to be waiting right there where they dropped me off at, but I they supposed to >> They probably saw me and took off, I bet.
>> Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. But >> what kind of car they got?
>> Um, it was a Nissan >> color.
>> Um, gray gray Nissan.
>> And when I first pulled up, I was s I was sitting over there.
>> They were sitting over there. You can see them.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. Yeah, they probably took off.
That'd be dumb to hang out.
This is so stupid.
>> Excuse me.
>> Yes.
>> Is there any way I could show you the text messages or like his number or anything?
>> Yeah.
>> I ain't going to fix >> Yeah. Um, what are like what are you trying to say?
>> Like I ain't trying to get put down for this, right? I got a life. I got >> But you did.
>> But I'm not the one who made the the thing.
>> You got to be careful with what you do.

>> You'll be able to do that in here.
