Hasan Piker’s trip is a textbook example of performative activism colliding with the cold reality of federal law. It proves that ideological signaling in embargoed zones carries legal risks that no amount of online clout can bypass.

Hasan Piker's "Humanitarian Aid" Trip to Cuba Might Cost Him His FREEDOM!Added:
Hassan [ __ ] seems to be up a creek without a paddle. He seems to have stepped in it just a little bit. Hassan [ __ ] you you'll if you don't know who he is, I don't really know who he is. I think he's Chank Weaguer's uh nephew or cousin. It's his nephew, Hassan [ __ ] He's a Twitcher. He's a, you know, live streamer, podcaster, a so-called, you know, communist revolutionary.
He arguably spews some mildly vitriolic uh rhetoric out there. Do do I need to get a summary of who Hassan [ __ ] is?
Let me let me do it because you know if there's if AI is good for one thing, uh it's giving summaries of people. Who is Hassan [ __ ] Let's see what Let's see what Grock has to say about this. You know who Hassan is. You've seen his clips. He's a charismatic individual with a you know a large following and a and a equally large mouth at certain points in time. and he's now um he's in a bit of doodoo because it seems that he and a uh one of the co-founders of Code Pink, which has been in the news because uh Thomas Massie had the good judgment of appearing with them, uh went to Cuba to support, I want to say support, I think by their own admissions, we'll get to it in a second, support the Cuban people.
um and may or may not in having done so violated the law. They had Hassan has not faced any charges yet, but he was issued a subpoena purportedly and he clearly feels that he's under some uh risk or exposure as we shall see from his own statements and videos on the interwebs. From Huff Post, May 24th, 2026, that is today. Hassan [ __ ] and Media Benjamin reportedly subpoenaed for their trip to Cuba. the leftist Twitch streamer and CodePink co-founder along with hundreds of others went to Cuba to deliver humanitarian aid. Now, we're going to talk about Nick Shirley in this as well and whether whether there are in fact any material distinctions between what Nick Shirley did in Cuba versus what Hassan Per and the other person are alleged to have done in Cuba. uh and whether or not Nick Shirley may or may not have violated some provisions of these laws that are intended to ensure that uh embargos on countries are effective because you don't have people bypassing them, giving aid to the people who are supposed to be, you know, not the people that are the object of the embargos, but the government. If you're bypassing an embargo on the government, you're sort of bypassing the actions of your own government. And it could be problematic, and we're going to find out if it is. to deliver humanitarian aid.
The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has sent subpoenas to leftist Twitch streamer Hassan [ __ ] and codeping co-founder Madea Benjamin over their March trip to Cuba. Quote, "The American government would rather try to criminalize delivering aid to a country we starved than punish the Epstein class." Per wrote on X in response to the report.
We'll get to that post. [ __ ] said Sunday on his Instagram story that he hasn't received a subpoena. And on his live Twitch stream Sunday, he said before his trip to Cuba, he cleared it with the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the office that Fox News reported issued the subpoenas. [ __ ] called the alleged subpoena unquote intimidation tactic from the American government. Benjamin also said in a statement to Huff Post that she hasn't been served a subpoena, though quote perhaps one is on the way. co-founder of the feminist anti-war organization said she traveled to Cuba under the authorized category of providing aid to Cubans and she stayed in a hotel allowed by US regulations. I it is kind of wild because if you don't know uh that there are these these restrictions or these provisions, you could run a foul of the law, but I suspect everybody knows if you're traveling to Cuba uh to know what the hell you're doing. I have never been to Cuba. Don't plan on ever going to Cuba. Um, and this is not something I have to worry about, but it might be something that Hassan and maybe Nick Shirley because he stayed at a specific hotel. We'll see. It's outrageous that the US government would target people for bringing humanitarian aid to suffering Cuban children, Benjamin said in her statement. But even more disturbing is the cruel and deeply immoral policy the United States continues to impose on Cuba. A policy designed to strangle the island economically, deprive people of food, fuel, medicine, and basic necessities, and make daily life unbearable. There there is the moral, theological, even political, practical argument as to whether or not embargos, whether or not sanctions actually do anything except for punish the people. And I'm of the opinion that by and large embargos and sanctions do nothing but punish the everyday people and do very little to punish the political class. I mean, you you think the sanctions in Iran, they might be having some impact on the government, but uh by and large, they hurt the people because the corrupt political elite that got their people into that position in the first place, aren't exactly starving, aren't exactly suffering, nor will they. They'll find their means through other means, but the people will not. So, set that aside. And now, let's take a brief pause from this video for a word from our sponsor, The Wellness Company. Americans love sushi.
Over the last two decades, raw fish consumption has exploded. Sushi bars are everywhere. Grocery stores and gas stations sell it, and millions of people eat raw fish weekly. But there's a hidden risk most people don't think about. Parasites. Salmon was one of the most popular fish worldwide. But it's naturally contains more than 70 parasites. Most are tiny and nearly impossible to see, and they are making their way into the human body. Once inside, parasites can hide for years while frequently laying eggs before any symptoms appear. That is why physicians are raising awareness about parasites and parasite exposure. Dr. Peter McCulla recommends doing a parasite cleanse at least once a year as a preventative measure. The wellness company offers a hard to access RX parasite cleanse, USA compounded ivormectin and mabendazol.
Ivormectin paralyzes the parasites nervous system while meendazol starves them. Each capsule contains 25 milligs of ivormectin and 250 milligs of meendazol. Lab tested to quality, you can now get a more budget friendly 45 capsule option that costs $250 less, giving you two 21-day parasite cleanse cycles. Same formula as the original, just a smaller quantity. Head over to twwc.health/viva and use code viva for $35 off plus free shipping. Once again, that is twwc.health for the promo code for your discount for my audience. Thank you the wellness company for sponsoring this video. And now back to the vlog. Once it's in effect, you're dealing with law and you're dealing with the law of the land and you're dealing with arguably violating the law of the land, even if you think you're doing it for altruistic purposes. What did I say here?
Fox News reported that the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued subpoenas related to questions about whether [ __ ] and Benjamin violated US sanctions laws through the quote financing, coordination, or delivery of goods to Cuba. [ __ ] and Benjamin's trip to Cuba was made with the Noestra America Convoy, an international movement formed just a few months ago to bring humanitarian aid to Cuba. More than 600 delegates and 120 organizations participated in the trip. According to the Associated Press, neither the Treasury Department nor Noesta America issued a comment in April. In a video, [ __ ] explained his trip to Cuba saying he wanted to see in person the problems Cuba experiences because of the trade embargo imposed by the United States, as well as to see the socialist society in person. kind of exactly what Nick Shirley uh also said, but they might have come to different conclusions where Nick Shirley while apparently on Cuban soil talks about how you know it might be ripe time for US intervention invasion. Uh so they come back with different conclusions. Hassan [ __ ] is obviously going to come back with the conclusion that the embargo should stop the communist the communist regime of Cuba should be allowed to you know thrive and so should the people.
His trip, he said, was part of a humanitarian mission to pro to bring aid to Cuba because the United States wouldn't after Cuba's electricity grid collapsed in March due to a US imposed oil blockade, leaving 10 million people without power. Benjamin wrote on X on Saturday, "Taking medical supplies to basic pediatric hospitals in Cuba is now a crime. Saving the lives of babies is a crime the administration is beyond grotesque."
We're going to get to some of these um posts as to whether or not they should be making them and or admitting to the material elements of potential crimes.
The investigation into [ __ ] and Benjamin part of a larger effort of the United States government to stop what it sees as harmful foreign influence on the United States. More subpoenas are expected. According to Fox News, the scrutiny reflects growing concern among federal authorities and lawmakers over whether foreign actors and aligned organizations are attempting to shape American political discourse, mobilize activists, so discord normalize rhetoric that could encourage violence or undermine US national security interests. They so that that's the article. Let me just close this one up and uh keep one in the backdrop there for a second. That's what's going on uh in terms of what they did. Now, just so we can get the AI summary of Hassan Doggan [ __ ] And so nobody thinks I'm lying about it. Let's just get him. Uh, this is Gok summary, peeps. Born 1991.
Holy crab apples. Is he not that young, but pretty young. Better known as online as Hassan Ababi, Turkish Twitch streamer, American, sorry, is an American Twitch streamer, YouTube influencer, prominent left-wing political commentator known for being a long form yada yada yada. Let's get there. 3.1 million followers. He discusses current events, reacts to news clips, covers politics, etc., etc. I'm not showing the two because I forgot to here. Boom. Background. Let's see here.
Let's see here. Political views and controversies and recent events. He's faced criticism and platform penalties for comments, including a 2019 remark that America deserved 9/11, which he described as satire about US foreign policy. These people saying things and then saying it's satire doesn't work when there's no satirical element to it.
America deserve I I actually do remember that one. Use of certain slurs leading to Twitch bans. What slurs would those be? Rhetoric around Israel Palestine which has drawn accusations of anti-semitism which he denies framing as it anti-Zionism. As of May he had this particular controversy.
Now when you want to get to the u we all know this in criminal law uh and there might be some civil sanctions for allegedly what they've done but you know there's the actis rees and the men's rhea the act of having done the act which is illegal you don't have to have done the thing that was let me rephrase this there's the act of the criminal element and then there's the intent to have committed the act of the criminal element so you got your actis rees which is the act and your men's rhea which is the intent to have not broken the law but the intent to have carried carried out the act that is itself uh illegal. And now if you had any doubts and this is the problem we're like you know at some point silence is is golden.
Hassan Assabi he comes out here and basically I mean we we talked about it earlier but leaves no doubt as to what his intentions were in doing what he did. The American government would rather try to criminalize delivering aid to a country we've starved than punish the Epstein class.
That is an admission of the Actis Reyes of this particular crime. And if you had any doubts about the other one, Media Benjamin who puts her admission online as well and writes as follows.
Taking medical supplies to pediatric hospitals in Cuba is now a crime. Saving the lives of babies is a crime. this administration is beyond grotesque.
Whether or not you agree with it, the second that there is a an embargo and official laws in place, uh you are dealing with potentially breaking the law, even if you believe it's for good reasons. Now, what are the uh potential laws here? The it is um kind of amazing uh the laws, and this is again, you don't know that these laws exist until you find out that they exist because you allegedly may have broken them. Cuban Assets Control Regulations, CACR, section 31, implemented a long-standing US Economic Sanctions embargo on Cuba, primarily under the Trading with the Enemy Act, PWIA, International Emergency Economic Powers Act, ie EPA, the ones that Trump tried to implement tariffs on, um, which the courts said no, or at least it wasn't being exercised in that particular way. Okay. And then Cuban liberty democratic solid. Okay. Uh so it involves humanitarian projects, general license. It means that if you go do it, you got to get authorization from the government. Uh it mean there was one by the way where you're not allowed staying in certain hotels.
And here travel lodging and restrictions prohibited accommodations list.
Americans cannot spend money at many government affiliated hotels without violating the rules. Reports note the convoy. Oh, this is dealing with what they potentially did. You're not allowed staying at certain hotels. You're not allowed making reservations at certain hotels, giving money to certain hotels because they're staterun hotels, the ones that didn't lose power during the the power outage. And then the argument becomes if you break these laws, even if you think it's to circumvent the embargo that the US has imposed on Cuba, as if it's the reason why Cuban babies are not getting medicines in hospitals is because of an embargo and not because of uh potentially decisions made by the Cuban government. And if you go in and alleviate the consequences of the decisions of that Cuban government, uh, you might be breaking the law. And if you stay at hotels, you might be breaking the law as well, especially if they're government run hotels. Now, Nick Shirley was down there. He put out his video from a Cuban hotel saying he's being tailed. He's being surveiled.
There's someone down in the lobby of the hotel, and he's scared, and he's trying to find a way to get out of there. And if he gets out of there, you'll see this video. There's an argument and a question as to whether or not uh Nick Shirley might have also violated the accommodations restrictions. Uh, by the sound of his video, it really did sound like he got clearance or authorization or was operating in coordination with the administration. Uh, but one thing is clear that Nick Shirley was not down there to admittedly by his own admission offer aid to Cuban people. He was down there to document the horrors of communism to create whether or not you think it's propaganda to create uh content that might bonafide that might enhance the sentiment that maybe what was done to Venezuela needs to be done to Cuba so we can liberate them. So they did two different things overlapping at least potentially on the hotel and whether or not Nick got authorization or not. Uh Hassan [ __ ] is crying selective prosecution much like uh Kilar Rogo Garcia although he hasn't been subpoenaed yet and he hasn't been charged with anything yet but he's in big trouble and uh let me see if I had I had a I had a couple of videos of Hass Hassan here was another another good one of him uh >> when was this one from May 25th. This is another one where, you know, silence is golden and you can't really dig the hole any deeper if you just put the shovel down. Hassanabi says, "Every centrist blue MAGA who celebrates these subpoenas is a [ __ ] [ __ ] They think you're all communists, they're coming for you, too." Well, what's amazing is this is exactly what everyone would have been saying on their side to the Camala Joe Biden type of communism. like, "Oh, you think it's cool when you celebrate the lawfare against your political adversaries? They're coming for you, too." He understands how it works because that's how he works, but doesn't piece it together. Camala and Hillary lost to Trump because they tried to present themselves as moderate establishment candidates. It was the Dem party's failure that gave us Trump twice. The Dems and its free consultants on this website are entirely out of touch with the base and diametrically opposed to its demands. Pro-Israel Dems have no real constituency but represent most of the political and media class.
Blue MAGA is crying a lot lately because the left flank candidates that are for M4 anti-Israel are winning insurgent races in the Dem primaries and this makes a lot of Blue MAGA folk on here scared. I tried posting on Twitter and it didn't work.
Well, maybe Trump can take off my off my problem.
There is a tendency right now on on X and you're going to see a bunch of accounts saying man if we just lock up Hassan [ __ ] it'll actually unify a lot of people. The issue is going to be one of you know non-malicious uh application of the law applying it equally to everybody. There were people questioning how it was that Nick Shirley went down in the first place. And some are going to say if Nick Shirley got authorization to stay at the government run hotel and now they're going to potentially issue subpoenas and investigate Hanabi Hassan [ __ ] then we've got, you know, a two-tier justice system. The bottom line is you flirt with risk and push the envelope. And coming from a man, by the way, who talked about violent revolution. Coming from a man who has no problem with weaponization of the legal system so long as it's done against his right people, basically saying as much in that post, we need to go harder because they're going after me right now. And this is a game of kill or be killed. Metaphorically speaking, lawfare to death or lawfare to death.
And we'd better make sure to do it to them as we tried to do because they're going to do it to us if they ever get into the position of power. Anyway, we'll see. Uh it doesn't look good. It looks like they not only did what they did, but admit the intent behind what they did. And we will see if anybody gets arrested and whether or not this unifies anybody. But all you ask for is the fair, consistent application of the rules, even if you don't like the people. You don't go after them harder because they will gladly do the same thing to you. Alas, however, they won't learn that lesson.
And if they ever get back into power, they will do the same thing to you.
Which is why you got to make sure not to do things that bring them back into power. Hassan, we'll see.
>> And I'm not going to lie to you guys.
It's It's not great. The news is not great. Okay.
Um I mean, it's [ __ ] but still not great that, you know, they're they're after your boy. They're up my ass.
And I'll obviously get into it right now.
I'll tell you all about it, but let me blast off real quick.
We will free you, brother. Yeah, free me. Free me.
Free me.
I can't believe I'm saying that.
