The Klyde Apartments were in the process of being sold and the attorney for the current owner said today he has identified an Addison-based company called Barba Drilling as the firm that ruptured a gas line while it was digging for soil samples. WFAA reached out to Barba Drilling via phone and email. We have not received a response. One resident has now filed a lawsuit against Atmos Energy. Today crews were on the scene from Atmos. Our cameras saw them there. The lawsuit claims Atmos failed to monitor conditions at the complex, but Atmos says it was not doing any work in the area on Thursday, which was the day of the explosion.
