Pull behind sprayer setup & use

[00:00:05]Well, hello guys. It's Lee. So, today what I'm working on or messing with is this new uh sprayer.

[00:00:14]Now, I got this off Marketplace, but it was brand new in the box.

[00:00:18]Um like the guy that bought it bought a bunch of them. I don't know how he did it, but um but it is a I'm going to have to read it. It's a Yard What is it?

[00:00:29]Yard Guard. It's 25 gallons.

[00:00:33]It's uh Now, the video I did right before this one or a couple before this one maybe, but anyway, is uh I assembled it.

[00:00:42]So, anyway.

[00:00:44]So, now but I haven't used it yet. I haven't even put water in it, used it, or anything. So, that's what I'm getting ready to do. So, what my plan is right now is I'm going to put, you know, couple gallons of water in it, and I'm going to run it up and down the driveway and spray, and that's just water. But, the reason I'm doing that is so I can see the spray pattern, get a good idea of mental note of how big the spray pattern is, and you can do that on the concrete, and uh you know, see what it looks like.

[00:01:14]So, that's what my first intention is.

[00:01:15]So, one thing I'll caution you on on buying one of these is this electrical cable right here.

[00:01:24]Goes up to your mower. Well, if I had a battery under my seat like most guys do on a mower, that would be fine.

[00:01:34]But, my battery's all the way up here under the hood.

[00:01:38]These cables aren't going to reach that.

[00:01:41]Some of my John Deere, some of my other garden tractors I have, the battery's all the way in the very front of it, like it behind the grill.

[00:01:49]It's not going to reach.

[00:01:51]So, luckily, I had a hot battery in the shop, and I'm just going to hook it up that way. But, when you're buying one of these, s- pay a good uh special note of how long that cable is and if it's going to work for you, cuz that's what I got to do.

[00:02:13]Not a big deal. I'll probably will run across a mower that it'll work on better, but that's what I'm doing for today.

[00:02:21]So, let's uh So, not that it matters, but I put 5 gallons in.

[00:02:25]Well, you can't barely read that.

[00:02:27]I'm going to have to get a Sharpie and mark that. But, anyway, so let's just uh let's turn it on see if it works.

[00:03:11]All right, so I'm just going to set it up right here, run it by here, and we're going to look at the s- spray pattern.

[00:03:20]It looks pretty good.

[00:03:38]So, you'll get a So, I'm going in uh first gear.

[00:03:43]I think that's the best spray pattern right there.

[00:03:49]I'm going to gas it, you know. [clears throat] probably not 10 ft. It's probably more like 7 or 8 ft.

[00:03:59]But that gives you an idea of how to uh it'll give you an idea what the overlap is when you're out in the yard. Cuz when you're in the yard, you just can't see it.

[00:04:17]But I yeah, I think first gear is it.

[00:04:36]Now off camera, I'm just going to run out that 5 gallons just so I can see how long it takes.

[00:04:44]So I can get a good judge of uh you know, how much time I have doing the yard.

[00:05:00]Yeah, it looks pretty good.

[00:05:37]So, I did 5 gallons. I did the crossbow.

[00:05:42]I went in second gear because I'd rather do it too thin than too thick. I mean, I don't you know, it might kill all my grass tomorrow. I don't know.

[00:05:51]But it's reasonably cool out here today.

[00:05:54]It's first part of May, but it's 60° or mid-60s.

[00:05:59]So, that's good because if it was 90, then it might really hurt my grass. But right there it is.

[00:06:06]Um I'm going to do 10 gallons in a couple of days when I know the rains and may it could rain tonight. Who knows? So, I might have wasted that. But uh anyway, that was a It was a good solid stream.

[00:06:24]Uh and I didn't get tape measure out of course, but it's probably 7 ft wide uh going across the sidewalk I mean the driveway like that was a good idea I thought to so you could see it.

[00:06:37]And out there in the grass you can't.

[00:06:38]So, um Anyway, that's it.
