[00:00:00]Deep in the Amazon, there's a caterpillar so painful, they call it the fire puss caterpillar. One stink can feel like your skin is literally on fire, I'm going to let it sting me on purpose. And the locals warned me not to touch it. They said the pain gets worse every single second and lasts for days.

[00:00:15]By the end of this video, you're going to see exactly what this thing does to the human body and whether the stories about it are actually true. And you're going to see her rub caterpillar poop on my arm. Let's do it.

[00:00:40]The fire puss caterpillar. How do I know this is the fire puss caterpillar? It's because Coyote Peterson, my boy, he found this also in the Amazon jungle, but he was too scared to be in the absolute pain ever in the entire world for 12 hours straight. I got hung seven times with a bullet here. So, I think uh I'm strong enough to handle this little caterpillar.

[00:01:45]This tiny creature might not look dangerous, but here in the Amazon rainforest, people know to never touch it. This is the fire puss caterpillar, also known as the flannel moth. And those soft hairs aren't actually fur.

[00:01:58]Hidden underneath are venomous spines designed to inject toxins straight into your skin the moment you make contact.

[00:02:03]People describe the pain as burning electricity. And what makes it even scarier is how harmless it looks. These caterpillars are found throughout tropical rainforests, and because they blend in so well, people sometimes brush against them without ever realizing it until the pain hits. It's starting to get a little swollen ball and it's starting to hurt really bad right here in my lymph nodes. It doesn't hasn't gone down here to my hip yet, but it for sure it's in my lymph nodes and hurts.

Um, don't please don't do this. Don't do this to yourself. Don't do it. For every single little spot I got stung, which is probably in the hundreds or thousands.

But if you're in the Amazon and you want to impress an indigenous girl and she says that you shouldn't do it because it doesn't hurt really bad, that means you probably should do it. You know, just a little flex just to, you know, show you the big man around campus around there. Okay. It was not worth it at all, dude. I mean, what's the point of it, right? What's the point? Just to show off, you know, if you're not showing off, never do that in your entire life. But, uh, if you are showing off, you know, you can survive it. No big deal. You can survive it. The final pain rating in comparison to the bullet ant which the bullet ant is considered a hot iron nail driving through the bottom of your foot according to the what is it the Schmidt index there's a sting index by this one dude to get stung all around the entire world by the most you know uh venomous uh venomous um insects and he rated the most painful sting in the entire insect kingdom was the bullet ant. So, I would say the bullet ant was right here cuz I got stung like seven times. That was really, really, really bad. This was probably like a like right here. And then in comparison, let me show you all the way down all the way down here on the ground.
