Alaskan City Welcomes Midnight Sun With Final Sunrise for 84 Days

[00:00:00]The United States' most northerly city in Alaska saw its last sunrise for more than two months yesterday. Time-lapse footage released by the National Weather Service shows the sun set at 1:48 a.m.

[00:00:12]In the town of Utqiagvik, the sun won't set again for 84 days until August 2nd.

[00:00:18]The NWS says it is due to the Earth's tilt, pointing the Northern Hemisphere toward the sun.
