At first glance, this quiet region of dense forests and calm land gives little away.
But beneath the soil of Madya Pradesh's Pana lies a hidden treasure, diamonds.
Spanning nearly 50 m, this diamond belt is believed to hold reserves of around 1.2 million carats. Here, locals lease small plots of land, hoping to strike fortune beneath the surface. The diamond mining operations in Pana are regulated under the supervision of the National Mineral Development Corporation and the state government. But beyond minerals, this land carries something deeper. Hope. Every handful of soil here reflects patience, effort, and the possibility of change.
