[00:00:01]It doesn't come straight from metal. It starts with a rock called bauxite.

[00:00:06]Bauxite is mined from the ground, usually in huge open-pit mines.

[00:00:10]Massive machines dig and transport the ore, but bauxite is not pure aluminum.
