Plowing the North Dog Trail with the TD-6 IH Cat May 06 2026

[00:00:01]Okay, Wednesday morning in the kingdom and we're going to plow some snow. Yes, we're going to take the communist cat out and plow some snow because the dog trails too hard to hawk for the old guy and the old dogs. All right, this morning we woke up to minus 8 Celsius, but feels like minus3. That's why I'm standing in the middle of the yard because hopefully we don't get censored by the Mi phone cuz it got chilly. Yes.

[00:00:21]And turn the volume down on the yo-yo scale. Plus 18 Fahrenheit, but feels like + 9. Ooh. 18 - 9 equals 9. Oh, pretty smart thinking. E, I stayed at the holiday in last night. All right, so the me phone didn't like me last night.

[00:00:36]I worked late and then I went to, how would you say, transfer the pictures and videos from the Mi phone to the computer and it had a hissy fit last. An hour later, I was able to get the pictures change transferred over. Unreal. So, they'll work hard all day and then get home and then the wife's in a grouchy mood. So, the me phone Oh, smokey. Oh, all right. So the me phone was acting up just like the wife. All right. So that's why the video was late, work late, and then malfunctioning computers is trying to control me. And yesterday the track popped off probably for the first time in six years. The last time it popped off was the same thing. We rubbed up against a hidden rock. But then again, we keep the tracks loose on the cats because we play in snow. Snow builds up and makes them tight. Yes, they're snow cats. Yes, seems how we live in a land where we have snow 10 months of the year. and five hot days of summer. All right, let's go. Quick scroll. See the sunshine? It's over here as I'm getting smoked out. Yes. Oh, yeah. This reminds me of the forest fire smoke from last summer because of the Gong Show mining company. But I'm got smoked out trying to stay warm. Yes, the sun is over here somewhere. I can't see anything. There's a glare on the screen. The staff is coming over cuz we have the block heater plugged in on Communist Cat. So, it'll be the world's greatest smoke show. Yes, it'll be a farting and putting and cotton cutting until it warms up. We got to change that thermostat to 190 to make him happy. Yes, he starts good when he's been plugged in because the cylinder head is warm and it everything is happy and then the motor cools the antifreeze down and the injectors aren't happy. All right, so there's almost one one full rotation. These lips aren't working for some reason. Oh, wait. I'm old. I'm tired and I do this every day. Stand here and hold a stick. Oh my, what was I thinking? I could be married and living down south and mowing my grass three times a week and wearing shorts and doing the family stuff. Oh well, I chose this life after the great divorce. Oh, we better go. Here comes the boss.

[00:02:42]Wednesday morning in Whoville's just after 9:00 a.m. and as you can see, the sun is shining. There's a few clouds in the sky, but it is beautiful out here right now. Looks like it's going to be a nice day. Let's head inside. Let the dogs out to make breakfast. Then at 10:00 a.m. I'll get the quad out and head over to the kingdom and see what we're doing this morning. I am also using my old Mi phone for video today since my new phone was acting up yesterday.

[00:03:04]Almost 10:00 a.m. and I just got the quad out. Now I will head over to the kingdom. I have the air tank on the back so I can fill up the tires on the box trailer because I have to fill that today as well. So let's head over to the kingdom and see what my dad's doing.

[00:03:17]Made it to the kingdom and it sounds like my dad has communist cat running.

[00:03:21]We are going to plow down to the rabbit tower and back. That way my dad can walk the older dogs. They are having a hard time in the snow. Plus, it's slippery.

[00:03:30]So, we'll head over there. I do have the Insta 360, so hopefully I can set it up on top of the rabbit tower.

[00:05:19]Made it down to the rabbit tower. I am on top. I have the Insta 360 setup, so I'll get a few videos on there and then I'll record some. My dad is going to try and get up the hill over there and plow as much as he can. It is hard to walk on. As you can see, there is a lot of snow.

[00:13:09]Just finished plowing down to the rabbit tower. We were able to make it all the way over to Roadrunner Rock on the corner and then plow back down so it'll be easier for my dad and the old dogs.

[00:13:19]Now we'll head back into the kingdom and park the cat.

[00:13:22]11:00 a.m. We're back up in the kingdom.

[00:13:24]Just parked the cat. Now I will get the mini out and take the box trailer down to the wood pile and fill it.

[00:13:31]11:30 and I'm down at the wood pile. My dad pushed it up yesterday, but not much melted, so I ended up digging some up and pulling it back. Now I will fill the box trailer and the wagon. 12:00 p.m.

[00:13:42]and I just got the box trailer and the wagon filled. Now I will head back up into the kingdom and put the mini away and cut up some trees for the shop and the ho shack. Hopefully within the next few days all this melts and I'll be able to pick some more. Just finished cutting up a bunch of trees for the shop and the ho shack. I had to give my dad a hand putting the grill on. Everything looks good. It fits. This is just a test fit.

[00:14:04]Then we can take it off and do the final adjustments. But all the holes line up on the top as well. Now I'm officially done in the kingdom. So I'll head back into Whoville and make lunch. 2:00 p.m.

[00:14:15]and I'm just finishing up lunch and fed the dogs. I switched over to my newer phone since I'm not at the kingdom and I can't airdrop all my videos like I did this morning. So hopefully the sound is okay on this one. Now let's head inside and let the dogs out. Then at 5:00 p.m.

[00:14:28]I can do the weather. Okay. After lunch in the kingdom and it's a good day. The crow fits. The splash thingy looked pretty good when it was on. So, that's a victory. Yes. And the communist cat actually ran normal today out in the wilderness. Yes, he was pushing snow and he was happy. It wasn't acting like a total All right, let's get going here. We got some more booger welds to do. And then we can, I would say, call this thing done. Take it apart and then regroup and then we'll find the We got the fenders and an inter fender panel to make and then we can start mounting fenders. Oh, yes. Let's get going. The boss will be pleased. Okay, 3:00 coffee and I think it's done. And we've done enough booger welds on it. What? Day seven, I think of it. The hardest part was getting this to go on here because this is how thick this is. Okay, that's the angle iron I used right here. And this is thin and rusty. So, as soon as you get close to it, can we say vaporize now? But that's close enough. Yes, we'll take uh silicone and go over that to make it a nice and smooth. Oh, wait.

[00:15:29]There's body filler known as Bondo. All right. So, very pleased. We started with nothing. seven, eight days ago and we stayed with it and got it done. Yes, we didn't give up and cry. Even if the Hobart Handler 100 was giving us problems, we stuck it out because we had no other choice cuz we live remote. Yes, at the end of the world. I don't know what I was thinking, but I moved up here after the great divorce. So, I think I'm punishing myself. Oh, wait. No, that was the marriage. Okay, 5:00 and we got the painting done. Yes, the staff was gifted some uh paint last fall and she painted her tank, shed her house and her water tank here in the kingdom. So, there was a little bit left that had a little dry crust on it, but we keep the brush inside. So, I was able to make it flow.

[00:16:11]I wanted to use this paint because I want it in here down in there. I want it to flow in where the impossible is, especially down in here. Seems how I have so much metals butting and overlaying and lapping. So, this worked out very well. Yes, very well. Once I'm done the video, I have to remember to seal the lid. Put the lid back on. I should remember that. But that's what we want because we want it on thick as a protective coat and then we can work with it. And then when it's time to be on the truck and paint it properly, that'll be somebody else's problem cuz I'm not a bodyman or a painter. I'm a welder. Just like Katie Perry's an astronaut. All right, let's go check on the flags because we're quitting early today. Oh, wait. Regular time.

[00:16:54]5:00 p.m. And this is the temperature we're sitting at right now at 0 degrees C, which is 32 degrees Fahrenheit. We even had the feels like on the bottom.

[00:17:01]It was extra nice in the kingdom this morning. And as you can see, lots has melted. They even plowed the road here, so that will melt as well. Now, let's head inside, let the dogs out, make supper, and end my day. Okay, we can stand in the middle of the yard for the end of day. Yes, look at that. It's not too windy, but it is windy. It is a cold wind. We have lots of firewood for July.
