To efficiently solve radical expressions like √12 × √24 × √8, factor each radicand into perfect squares and remaining factors, then multiply the extracted square roots together and the remaining radicands together; for example, √12 = 2√3, √24 = 2√6, √8 = 2√2, so the product becomes 2×2×2 × √(3×6×2) = 8√36 = 8×6 = 48.

How to solve this radicals? #radicals #maths #mathematics #mathreviewAjouté :
How do you solve this radicals? I will show you three different ways on how to solve them. Usually, if they see something like this, they multiply the numbers inside or the radicands like this. 12 * 24 * 8. That will be 12 * 24 and you will do it this way.
Then, after that, multiply this 288 by 8.
And it will take you so much time. So, this is not ideal. Smart way in solving this is factor each radical. Like for example, square root of 12 can be factored into 4 * 3.
24 can be 4 * 6.
8 can be 4 * 2.
Square root of 4, that's 2.
Then, leave 3 inside. Square root of 4, another 2. Leave 6 inside. And then, square root of 4, that's 2. Leave 2 inside. So, you will multiply this. 2 * 2 * 2, that's equal to 8. Then, multiply the radicands. 3 * 6, that's 18 * 2. You will get 36 inside the radical. So, it will be 8 * square root of 36. We may get 6. So, your answer will be 8 * 6 = 2 48.
How about the Indian way? So, what they do here is factor square root of 24 into 12 * 2. So, you'll have square root of 12 and square root of 2. And multiply this and this. 12 * 12, that will be square root of 144. And 2 * 8, that will be square root of 16. And square root of 124, that's equal to 12 * square root of 16, that's 4. 12 * 4, you get 48.
