This video demonstrates how Bruce Lee's martial arts principles, particularly his emphasis on speed, precision, and efficient striking, translate effectively to modern MMA competition. The virtual fight showcases Lee's signature techniques including head kicks, body kicks, and rapid hand combinations, illustrating how his philosophy of 'being like water' and utilizing the entire body for striking can be applied in contemporary combat sports. The knockout victory demonstrates that fundamental martial arts principles remain relevant and effective in modern fighting contexts.

BRUCE LEE vs. Jason Jordan (WWE)😱😮 (EA Sports UFC 4)
Added:Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event of the evening. When the action begins, our referee in charge of the octagon, Dan Mgliata.
And now, [screaming] this is the moment UFC fans around the world have been waiting for. LIVE FROM the sold out Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City, it's time. [screaming] Five rounds IN THE UFC FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION. Introducing first, FIGHTING OUT OF THE BLUE CORNER. This man is a kickboxer making his professional debut here tonight. He stands 5' 11 in tall, weighing in at 145 lbs, Goliath.
And now introducing his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, this man is a mixed martial artist making his professional debut here tonight. He stands 5' 7 in tall, weighing in at 145 lbs, FIGHTING AT LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, Bruce the Dragon [cheering] Lee. Hey.
[cheering] >> All right. Read through the rules in the lock room. I want you to obey my commands at all times. Protect yourself at all times. Want a nice clean safe fight. Touch gloves. Back your paws. Not [cheering] [cheering] >> you ready.
All >> [cheering] >> right, crowd getting excited as this fight gets underway. And you hate to call any fighter on this UFC roster a specialist, but on one side you have a definite striker taking on a true five tool player.
>> And you see a guy in the striker who knows exactly who he is. He knows where a fight needs to be. He knows what he has to do in order to be successful.
Let's see if he can keep his opponent off of him. When you're in a clinch, you can pull down on the head and land these beautiful punches to the head.
>> Defense.
>> Work his head.
>> Well, perhaps a sign of things to come as he lands a kick there. Nice kick landed by this gentleman.
>> PUT YOUR HANDS UP HIGHER. COME ON.
Real quick leg kick.
>> What a body kick.
>> Big powerful punch lands. Now he gets back to range.
>> Oh, he got that inside leg kick to the target there, DC. You don't want to eat too many of those.
>> No, you can't. It starts to beat up the inside thigh. That is a technique you use to really slow down your opponent.
>> You're okay. You're okay.
Look at the whip action that comes from him throwing that kick.
>> That right hand hurt him a little bit.
>> Over and over. He's landing these big body kicks.
>> Oh, nice job to land a knee to the body.
Man, I wish I was that tall.
>> There you go. Look for the shot.
>> Under three minutes now to go in the round.
Come on, guys. Keep it moving. Let's go.
[cheering] >> Oh, and he connects with a punch there, DC. You got to like what you're seeing thus far.
>> I mean, the speed at which he throws is crazy.
>> He's got to be careful dipping his head when he's throwing that jab.
>> I got to see some more strikes from you.
COME ON. LET THOSE HANDS GO.
>> Come on. Keep busy. Keep busy. Beautiful hand skills here. The right then the left.
>> Oh, and he caught the kick.
>> He's grabbing the back of the head, pulling forward on the head, and then landing those beautiful punches. Really has got his opponent on notice here.
>> Oh, that's a good right hand.
>> Just over two minutes. Round one.
>> Head kick lands and he's hurt.
[cheering] >> More than one. more than one >> trying to go to the body here. Unable to find the target.
>> He loaded up there on that high kick.
What a shot.
>> Big head kick. [cheering] And now his opponent in a world of trouble.
>> Such a sneaky head kick. He did not recognize it. Was coming high.
[cheering] And now he's got him hurt bad.
Big kick land. [cheering] Oh, he needs to start looking to finish now because he's got his opponent hurt very bad. [cheering] It's >> very tricky when he throws that body kick.
>> Oh, HEAD KICK.
>> OH, THE JAB FOLLOWED BY THE RIGHT HAND.
[cheering] >> All right, let's go. LET'S GET THOSE HANDS GOING NOW.
>> Come on. Keep busy, guys. Keep busy.
Single collar tie now.
>> Good punch land.
>> 30 seconds now to go in the opening round.
>> Oh, massive head kick there. We'll see if he can finish.
[cheering] >> Oh, now he stuns him beautifully with the left hand.
>> The left hand is so accurate. He's so educated. He's so able to fight for fight.
[cheering] He has a commitment to kicking tonight and it shows. [applause] >> Round two. [cheering] >> A lot of highle highlights from that last round. DC, take us through the replay.
>> If he fought like this, I would be comfortable entering him into a K1 level right kickboxing competition. He's that good at finding and landing those kicks at will. He needs to continue to do this as the fight goes on.
>> Your tail that last round, that's not going to happen this time. I need you to get back out there. Aggressive. Let this guy know who you are.
>> All right, DC, buckle up. Here we go with our next round. High number of kicks landed in the previous [cheering] round, and he'll look to keep it going.
>> He'll look to keep winning the fight with his kicks. He's throwing high kick, leg kick, body kick. He's even throwing a couple spin kicks in there. This guy is so educated with fighting with his legs.
>> Liver kick. If you take those kicks, it's going to shut your body off.
[cheering] >> Oh, huge kick to the head.
[screaming] Good job keeping that head off the center line. Slips to avoid the right hand.
[cheering] >> Break it down with a low kick.
>> Look at him whip his hip into that kick.
He blocks the punch.
>> Look at how he turns his hip into that leg kick. Let's get going now.
>> Great punch. [cheering] He lands. He lands. And maybe time to get the bonus checks ready.
>> I mean, this fight is about done. He's got him hurt very bad kicks. Now he has to find one more strike to end the night. [cheering] right under the elbow.
>> Let me see those kicks.
>> Well, he's been pretty accurate tonight.
He's landed some significant strikes, but his corner is looking for him to mix it up a little bit more and just throw more volume >> because they don't see too much of a threat. This guy has to have confidence in knowing that when he extends his combinations, he's still safe, but he's also going to be able to land. He's got to be finding that confidence in his mind that all the reps in the training room are going to pay off.
>> Able to check the high kick.
>> Oh, and he lands yet another knee. And sometimes it pays to be the taller fighter, DC. I know you can't necessarily do that.
[cheering] >> Lee gets hit with a kick here. Let's see how he responds.
starting to do some really significant damage to the body here. Another strike lands there.
>> That would nice.
Beautiful body kick. [cheering] >> Huge block there.
>> Hands up. Hands up.
Straight up.
>> Well done to catch the kick. We'll see what he can do with it.
>> And they separate.
[cheering] >> Big punch lands over the top. How's he going to follow this one?
[cheering] >> Look at him drive his chin into his opponent's body with that body kick.
[cheering] Well, a really good second round for him thus far. After a somewhat lackluster first round, he has found the rhythm and found his striking range. Scary proposition for the opponent now here in round two.
>> What a punch. [cheering] connects with a right hand. Pretty good punch that one.
>> Nice right punch by this young man.
>> Well, some fighters when they get cracked in the mouth, they respond well.
He got stunned earlier in the round and hasn't really recovered or gotten back into things. People react differently, right? Some people just get back going.
He's having a hard time building his way back into this fight.
>> Counters with a straight right hand.
That'll work. Oh, he lands another strike to the body. really starting to connect on a lot of shots to the midsection and these will take their toll as this fight goes into the latter rounds.
>> It's nice wide kick.
>> And they separate.
>> Lee gets caught with that punch.
[cheering] 20 seconds to go. Round two. [cheering] >> 15 seconds.
>> Keep going. Keep going.
>> Look at how he turns his hip over when he throws that kick.
[cheering] >> And the horn sounds on round two.
All right, let's check out some of the action now from that previous round. And he really kept finding a home for those kicks.
>> Yeah. And why would you change it if your opponent is not going to check if he's going to stand there and he's not on his toes and he's stationary? You keep driving those kicks into his thighs, into his body until he makes some sort of adjustment.
>> Let's punch into that clinch this guy.
He has no answer for your clinch. He's not defending the right way. He's open.
>> You ready, dude? You ready?
[cheering] >> Oh, that's a nice strike.
[cheering] >> Well, just as he did in the previous round, he continues to connect on a high volume of strikes. And a good sign, too.
Doesn't seem to be slowing down whatsoever.
>> He is throwing a fast, straight, hard jab. That's not a feeler jab. That's one that's really knocking the head back.
Oh, big roundhouse attempt but unable to land.
>> Big body land.
>> Nice move punch.
>> Man, it doesn't take much for the redness to start. Look at the left side of his body there. Nasty.
>> Nice. Great shot. Great shot. the fresh slick jab there.
>> Come on, keep those abs up.
[cheering] >> Oh, that kick is good by Lee.
How's his opponent still standing?
>> I mean, I have no idea. This fight is supposed to be over. It might not be over now, but it's going to be over very soon.
>> And both fighters exchange in the pocket.
>> Don't wait. Don't wait. I need you to be first now.
>> Oh, continuing to work the body to great effect.
>> [cheering] >> Just over three minutes to go in round three.
>> Beautiful body kick.
>> SOME FIGHTERS SHY AWAY FROM checking a leg kick. Check that one.
Lee gets tab with a kick now. Let's see if he can grab. [cheering] >> Look at the angle of that nice body kick.
>> Well, he is really starting to apply a lot of pressure here down the stretch.
Not as much offense earlier in the fight. He is making up for lost time now.
Nice head kick.
[cheering] >> Oh, knee strike right to the midsection there.
[cheering] >> Great upper body movement defensively.
Slips another strike there. And offensively, he hasn't been a world beater, but defensively he's been stronger. And that has to cause frustration for the opponent not being able to hit a guy that you want to really put away. But that's a testament to the head and the activity and the awareness of this fighter. Oh, [cheering] >> came of inches right there, boy. Wow. It was a good night if that landed.
Yes.
>> Straight to the body there by Lee.
>> [cheering] >> blocks the strike.
>> Not there.
>> Beautiful body kick land right under the elbow. [cheering] [screaming] Go, go, go, go, go. One minute. Keep your hands up. Oh.
>> [cheering] [cheering] >> Big leg kick lands.
>> Tried to land the punch, but a swing and a miss by Lee.
[cheering] >> Get out of there.
Oh, you got to like the output here. So aggressive with the strikes. He continues to light him up. Got to be careful here not to gas out, of course, but you got to like the offense we're seeing from him, especially in this round.
>> Let's go. Let's go. It's a warning.
>> Final seconds of round three.
[cheering] >> That's [cheering] three rounds in the can. We're headed to the championship rounds.
>> Let's not do that.
>> All right. Now, we take a look back at some of the highlights. He has had his kicking game going early and often tonight.
>> I mean, on point, right? He knew that this was going to be a way for him to take control of this fight. He's used those kicks to really put him out ahead.
And I'm not sure if his opponent has the ability to adjust and stop him from landing these over and over. All right, next round is underway. You know, these are two of the more conditioned fighters on the roster, so cardio is not going to be an issue here. And for some fighters, you know, you can have one of those adrenaline dumps or the cardio abandons you on fight night. Not the case for these two guys. Both look very fresh as we start this next round.
[cheering] >> Hurt up.
>> Well, he's up, but he is for certain the finish could come at any time.
[cheering] >> [cheering] >> Well, not only has he stayed aggressive as he was in the previous round, landing a high volume of strikes, but he's also been efficient, not just with his strikes, but also with his body movement. Complete performance out of this fighter here tonight. Oh, big shots exchanged in the pocket there.
>> Nice punch there by Lee.
The left hand >> punch coming. It's blocked. [cheering] >> Looked like he flipped him with a left hand counter there. [cheering] >> Hands up.
>> Landed a good uppercut there.
[cheering] >> Just unable to quite find that range.
[cheering] Hands high. Hands high.
>> Beautiful kick.
[cheering] >> And both guys really throwing with authority.
>> Whiffs on that offering.
>> Start to cut him off now.
>> Counter jab. Snaps the head back.
That'll get his attention.
Oh, big knee to the body. That'll soften him up.
>> Get some offense. Let's get going.
>> Under three minutes remain in round four. [cheering] >> Nice big body kick.
Well, it's one thing to have length.
It's another thing to use it. And he does it as well as anyone. Nice kick there by Lee.
>> Let's get busy with those hands now, man. COME ON. LET HIM GO.
>> Still nice body. [cheering] >> Back to the left hand now. Unable to connect.
to the ground.
>> There's no give on that leg kick.
>> Look at him whip his hip into that kick.
>> And he landed the right hand there >> and they separate. [applause] blocks the shot.
[cheering] >> Beautiful punch.
[cheering] Well, no surprises. He connects once again and that looked like it landed right on that cut.
>> Right on the cut and he's targeting it right. He's looking. You can see him almost putting a laser beam on that cut and just put his hands on it. It doesn't take much. He just keep making it split, showing his opponent that he has no mercy.
>> Just misses there with the left.
Under one minute remains in round four of a possible five.
>> 45 seconds remain in the round.
>> Lost the shot.
>> Oh, head kicks with a big knee. That knee hurt him.
Oh, huge superman punch.
[cheering] >> 15 seconds remain in the round.
[cheering] >> Beautiful strike.
>> [cheering] >> horn sounds for the end of round four.
>> All right. Well, that's the end of the round. So, the location is okay, the cut on the cheek, but that is some serious blood trickling out of that cut there.
You got to think maybe at some point they call the doctor in. And if he doesn't like what he sees, maybe they stop this fight.
>> All right, so a highle round there for him. We'll show you some of the action here. And you got to think the knockdown is going to be featured prominently here. thought he might have had him out of there.
>> He thought he had him, but the guy's tough. The guy's durable. He has a fantastic chin, but he just needs to stay the course. He does not need to be discouraged. Think about this. You're winning and you're winning going away.
That was just a moment. Keep going in the same direction and you will get the finish that you want so bad. [cheering] >> Hands up. Let's do it.
Stay busy. You control this.
>> Oh, what a punch.
>> Lee gets stung by that leg kick.
[cheering] >> Nice body right on the elbow.
Oh, I love the jab. I know you love the jab. That was a nice one.
>> It's my favorite punch in all the fight.
He's just being more aggressive. And because he's being more aggressive and more loose with his strikes, he's landing.
leg.
>> Lee gets hit with a kick.
>> Checks the leg kick.
>> Keep your hands up.
>> Nice straight punch. Stay strong.
>> I mean, he's cutting it down to size with these beautiful leg kicks.
>> Came of inches right there, boy. Wow.
>> It was a good night if that landed.
>> Just over three minutes now to go in the fight.
>> Keep pushing. Keep pushing.
Good defense to block the strike coming back.
[screaming] >> Under three minutes now to go. Round five.
>> All right. Well, it's late in the fight.
Time is of the essence. And when you're clearly losing and you know you need a finish, risk management goes out the window.
>> Oh yeah. No more risk management. Either get knocked out or you knock him out.
One way or the other, you're going to lose. You can lose by decision or you can lose by knockout. But at least when you go for the knockout, you give yourself a chance to try to find your shot.
>> Big kick land.
A single collar tie. [cheering] >> Well, not much set up behind it. The right hook.
>> Hey, set him up. Set him up. There it is.
Hands high.
>> Just misses with the jab there.
>> Big head kick lands. [cheering] >> Under two minutes now to go in the fight.
>> That is [cheering] Oh man, this dude is good.
>> You don't really stand after you take a head kick like [cheering] this. That is such toughness to even be on his feet right now. Oh. [cheering] Oh.
And just like that, the fight is over.
It's I'm not sure if that's the way he drew it up, but a huge result for him here tonight as he gets the win by way of knockout. And that's about as good a one strike finish as we've seen here in the UFC in recent memory. I'm not even sure the opponent saw it coming. So, a big big win for him here tonight.
So, a huge result and a seminal moment for him here tonight as he gets the big knockout win that could hold up as one of the better KOs of the year. Ladies and gentlemen, referee Dan Uglott has told us to this contest at 3 minutes 26 seconds of round number five, declaring the winner by knockout [cheering] Ruth the Dragon Lee.
>> All right, so there he is, the man of the moment, celebrating one of the bigger knockout victories of his career.
And got to be nice sometimes with all the hard work that you guys put in when it goes down exactly the way you drew it. A lot of people talking about doing certain things.
