Lu Bu, the most skilled warrior of the late Han Dynasty, was ultimately defeated not by military prowess but by his reputation for betrayal; despite being undefeated in battle and feared by armies, his repeated betrayals of allies, foster fathers, and trusted leaders led to his execution in 198 AD, demonstrating that loyalty and trust are more valuable than raw skill or power.

The Warrior Nobody Could Trust | Lü Bu’s Rise and Fall #historyAñadido:
China's greatest warrior wasn't defeated in battle. He was defeated by trust.
[music] His name was Lu Bu. In the late Han Dynasty, people believed he was unbeatable. A man so dangerous [music] that entire armies feared facing him directly, but there was one problem.
Nobody trusted him. Lu Bu first served a warlord named [music] Ding Yuan. Then another warlord offered him something better, a legendary horse called Red Hare, fastest [music] horse in China. Lu Bu switched sides immediately and killed Ding Yuan himself. [music] That betrayal became infamous. After that, he joined the tyrant Dong Zhu. Dong Zhu treated him like a son, trusted [music] him completely. Then came the woman said to be the most beautiful in China, Diao [music] Chan. According to legend, both men fell for her. Soon after, Lu Bu murdered Dong Zhu, [music] too. And somehow, people still kept recruiting him because Lu Bu was that good. The most famous [music] story happened at Hu Lao Pass. An entire coalition of warlords attacked, and Lu Bu rode out alone. [music] Then three legendary heroes challenged him together, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, [music] Zhang Fei. Three against one. The duel became one of the most famous moments in Chinese history.
[music] Even today, Chinese culture still remembers Lu Bu as the ultimate warrior. But his greatest enemy was never another soldier. [music] It was his reputation. Everywhere he went, betrayal followed. He betrayed allies, friends, adoptive fathers, [music] anyone who trusted him. Finally, in 198 AD, Cao Cao surrounded [music] Lu Bu's city, and the man who could not be defeated in combat was betrayed by his own men while sleeping. They [music] tied him up and handed him over. Lu Bu begged Cao Cao for another chance, promised loyalty forever. [music] Cao Cao almost accepted. Then, Liu Bei spoke up. Remember what he did to his foster fathers. That was enough. Cao Cao ordered Lu Bu >> [music] >> executed immediately. The strongest warrior in China died helpless, bound in ropes, killed [music] because nobody believed him anymore. And that's why Lu Bu became a legend. Not just because he was powerful, but because he proved something [music] terrifying. Skill can make people fear you, but without loyalty, no one will stand beside you when it matters.
